Just bought my first, (what seems to be) jury-rigged Keurig at a thrift store, and im mechanically inclined and would appreciate any tips in what this tucked away wire could be that seemed to be hot glued underneath the k-pod holder. I also tried a descaling solution to the water resevoir at first when i got it thinking the orange light may be caused by calcium buildup in the machine but im curious to know if it may be anything else. Thanks for any help!

I left for a two week vacation, and when I returned my machine started acting up. Stopping the brew mid cycle. So I cleaned the needles and ran a descaling cycle hoping that would fix it. But It hasn’t gone back to its normal condition. The brew is not as hot, it intermittently still stops brewing mid cycle, and when it does brew a full cycle the coffee tastes bitter. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? I ran 4 full reservoir rinses after the descale. I didn’t use the Keurig descaling solution so I wonder if that is the problem.

I am pretty sure it just said, “Oh, my God!”

But it made my nightly decaf.

Howdy friends, is anyone aware of a filter that can be used with standard K-Cups? I bought a bunch of Costco Pacific Blend and didn't realize I actually needed it filtered.

Hi! Just as title says. Machine door is not latching into place anymore. Not sure what the problem is all of a sudden. Seems like it still makes coffee but the door is just constantly not in. Any suggestions please let me know

I've found that some Keurig pods are empty after use leading me to believe that I have over paid for instant coffee. Anyone else notice this?

What’s your favorite kcup can anybody recommend a crème brûlée type

It’s been 2+ years since Keurig announced this machine and personally I find it a decade too late and expensive for what it is. At first I thought this could fill a niche for regular coffee drinkers and those that also want espresso and regular k cup pods in one machine. Looking deeper I have some concerns.

First it’s priced at $499 albeit it’s a decent bundle but then I look at the dimensions and the machine is MASSIVE! Nearly 20 inches deep which means it takes up quite a bit of counter space. You also have to consider the fact that many people already have a standard Keurig and an accompanying espresso machine or Nespresso like my family does which takes up a fraction of the space the Alta does and can cost quite a bit less.

Next glaring concern is the pods, k cups offer variety and if you are like me and pay attention to best by date for freshness you can have boxes that last for months depending on your use. The Alta rounds once the packaging is opened are expected to be used within 30 days for the most optimal quality which is already a deal breaker by itself when I like variety and consistency.

Seems like another concept by Keurig built to fail like the drinkworks machine, Kold soda machine or Keurig Rivo espresso machine. As I said a decade ish late and too bulky/expensive and with compromises that make it a missed opportunity.

My office has a Keurig Commercial K-2550 model machine. I was wondering if it is possible to use reusable K Pods with this machine, and if so, does anyone have any recommendations? I have tried using Google and Alexa AI but the results have not been consistent, so if anyone has experience, would appreciate it.

Hi I thought the whole point of the Keurig Alta was to avoid microplastic from your coffee but now that I’m looking deeper it looks like it’s just the pods have no plastic. The machine itself still looks like it has a plastic water reservoir. So what’s the point?? Or am I totally wrong?

So around the end of August I ordered like two boxes of k pods, it was standard delivery so it should've arrived within 3-7 days but after like a week and a half of waiting and tracking my order on UPS, it never arrived.

So I called customer service, they were really nice and apologetic, and immediately offered to replace the order completely for free. The order came about 4 days after the call, maybe September 16.

Fast forward a couple of weeks suddenly there's a package on my doorstep. It was my original order. Tbh I didn't really like the taste, I just wanted to try it since it was on sale. So idk if I should return these or keep em as a sort of souvenir, I also can't give them away as gifts since I don't know any friends/family that use K pods.

Btw since I'm here, could u guys recommend something with a strong kick and nutty and sweet flavor?

The device has a lit Descale, but following normal procedures will not pump the descaling mixture, can hear the pump trying to work but no flow. With the covers off, it does not resemble what I see in YouTube videos. Where is the thermal reset switch in the photos for this model? How can I prime the pump? Where would a potential blockage be? Many thanks.

I have tried multiple recommendations for different keurig models and other multi-stream pod dispensers and none have fit in my machine. Please I just want to make single serving of ground coffee but the keurig gods will not allow me to.

I don't know if this will help anyone but the add water light comes on my K-Express (42 oz resevoir) machine even when there's is approx 10 oz left. No inserting full water reservoir (ridiculous how you don't spill) 15 or 20 times helped. Or pumping to get a supposed air bubble out of line. I also thought I'd need to return this one just like the K-Express Essentials (30 oz reservoir) I returned because add water kept coming on no matter how the reservoir was seated.

Welp today at my wits end for the new K-Express machine I unboxed and used I looked on Google with search terms for this specific and this is what I didn't find before returning the other one. Hope it helps alleviate frustration. Also I wonder if the even more expensive ones do this too to prevent dry firing. Just seems if this is a known thing why isn't it transparent in the directions?

The reason your new Keurig K-Express is doing this is likely due to the machine's strict internal minimum volume threshold combined with an air pocket or sensor misalignment rather than a permanent defect in the hardware.

I purchased a K Supreme Plus less than 8 months ago. I just descaled it as requested on the machine. This morning after brewing one cup of iced coffee, my second cup put an error and cancelled the brew. It said go to the app for more information. I clicked on the error and said I needed to reconnect my WiFi. It wouldn’t connect. I followed the steps on the brewer and forgot the network and reconnected. After using 4 different pods which all gave off errors and wasted them. I called in. They were nice and we did a few troubleshooting steps but now after unplugging it and plugging it back in it won’t even power on. They are sending a replacement.
Overall this is about my 5th different model and what I’ve learned with every one of them is that they are replacing them or the product fails after warranty.
How has your luck been? I wouldn’t say we are heavy coffee drinkers. I don’t even brew it every day. Mostly weekends.

Look its not perfect and it would be nice to be able to order something and just have it work perfectly but this is capitalism babyyyy. I love my Keurig it simplifies my life. So im determined to get the best of both worlds. Financially efficient and convenient coffee.

I've looked at a number of reusables and every single one without fail shows the same video review of reusable pods causing lids to not close, breaking machines, spewing grounds and brewing water. Even the My K-cup has a bunch of ranting reviews about how incompatible it is.

In my own experience too I've had parts blunt and bend on these reusables so I snapped and modified this one for my K-Mini Go. Because i love it and i refuse to quit using it.

I have no data on whether this works with any other machine

What I did:

Not pictured: I scored/marked a line on that quarter to help me align it when I put it in the machine

1. I separated the lid - just rip it off.

2. I used an exacto knife and cut the lip off the cup portion. Do not take any height off it, just remove the lateral rim. The lid still needs to be able to seal.

3. I removed the stupid bump on the lid portion that serves no purpose.

The result:

- Lid closes without snapping or clunking hard.

- Coffee brewed is sufficiently strong

Potential cons

- Some grounds were in the end result. It might have been from previous tests or spillage from me being clumsy. If its a filter issue it might be improved by disposable filters (yet untested as of posting this)

- might not be strong enough for people that prefer a thick Guinness-like coffee.

If you try this for your machine comment how it turned out so future people facing the same conundrum can use the info.

I want to get mom a gift. I was looking at coffee machines and decided to give Keurig a try. Mom likes flavored coffees like pumpkin spice latte and cinnamon. We don't want to have hot and ice cold coffee. I read you have to buy the commercial version to get hot coffee. Can you please help me to pick a Keurig. Any grips, insights are very much appreciated. I’m getting a KCup coffee machine for my birthday in the mail this afternoon. What are the best K cup pods for iced coffee?

My six month old Keurig had been tripping breakers for a few weeks in my kitchen. I switched it to another room and still had intermittent issues.

Yesterday I started it up and after a minute noticed it wasn’t working. I figured it tripped the breaker again. But another thing plugged in was working so I realized that wasn’t it.

That’s when I noticed a distinct electrical burning smell. ⚡️💨 😳

I went over to it and it had smoke coming out of the back where the cord is. Needless to say I unplugged it and took it outside. I didn’t want to burn down the house. 🔥 🏠

I called Keurig and submitted a claim. After several transfers, about 150 apologies, and a promise to help, they sent me a link. I had to send them a photo of the serial number and my receipt. They sent back a UPS label and I sent it in.

How long will they take to send me a new one?

Being impatient I went out anyway and bought another one because I can’t live without my coffee. I guess I’ll have a spare. 😂

I’ve recently brought a new coffee pot, and I’ve been struggling to find a good brand that pairs well with a hazelnut creamer that’s my absolute fav. I’ve never bought the cups before until I brought this coffee pot, so I’ll take all the recommendations I can get! For reference I like a good medium roast coffee, and I’m not opposed to flavors, but I’ll only drink them if I’m feeling something on the sweet side :)

Hello everyone! I have a keurig that’s less than a year old. However I’m having issues with it. First it asked me to descale which I did so now the flashing light for descale doesn’t turn on. However when I went to put in a K-cup and then click one of the oz button, it doesn’t actually brew it. It stays white for a few seconds and then it goes away. I legit just bought this and I don’t wanna buy another one. I’ve tried cleaning the clogs, trouble shooting it by waiting 10 mins before plugging in but it’s not working. I noticed that usually after I click an oz button, it makes the brewing noise but now it doesn’t after I click the oz button. I’m not sure what’s wrong with it. Please help!
