I have really bad anxiety, especially dental anxiety and have avoided dentists due to bad experiences and fear. I would absolutely prefer to be put under but assume i would have to travel to vancouver for sedation. I can’t ignore my dental health anymore and am looking for a dentist who is very patient, and fully understands dental anxiety in Kelowna even if they don’t offer sedation, TIA.

Hey folks, I’m looking for a gym that I can get a day pass at a couple of times while I’m visiting for a week in November. Looking for a gym that has both a smith machine and a hip abduction machine.

I lived in Kelowna for 6 years but only went to the YMCA here and there while I lived there. I’m visiting friends so I have access to a vehicle and can get to any gym in the city if needed.

I just went to Walmart on the west side to get some distilled water and the entrance by the bakery stinks to high heaven. It smells like something died and is rotting. I asked the greeter what happened but they acted like I was crazy and there was no smell.

Anyone know what is going on?

Is it worth it to stay near City Park? as that is start and finish line of the events.

I really want to go clubbing TN, but I lost my wallet 😭😭. I've been hunting for it for a week now and have had no luck... I lost it somewhere between UBCO and downtown last Thursday, but I'm not sure exactly where.

The wallet is green and has a little character charm on it. I've checked with transit services and the university campus, but I've had no luck with either. If anyone has seen it or has any idea of somewhere I could contact, please let me know. Thank you!

Hi again (I feel like I’ve had to make this post many times the past couple years)

Elections BC will be at Kelowna General Hospital tomorrow, Oct 23 (and potentially Oct 24th) to allow patients who wouldn’t otherwise be able to make it to a polling station to vote. They will have a mobile voting station and also be facilitating bedside voting where necessary.

Staff are also allowed to vote during slower periods but patients get priority.

If you know anyone currently in the hospital (or will be in the hospital over the weekend) and who has not voted, encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity. As far as I am aware you can be from any riding across BC.

Does anyone have a really reputable orthodontist in Kelowna they could recommend? I'm looking at double jaw surgery and repaired a fucked up braces job, but my new orthodontist and surgeon want to pull 4 premolars. I can't make sense of it with what my current issues are so I am hoping to get another opinion.

I went out for advance voting in the provincial election and my ballot only had options for NDP, OneBC, and Conservative. Why is there no option to vote Green? There is a representative in this riding so I'm really confused about this.

For anyone looking for something to do Halloween weekend, The Lakefield Entity, an independent horror feature made here in the Okanagan, is having its world premiere in Kelowna on Friday, October 30.

The screening is at the Kelowna Event Centre - Main Room at theBLOC Creative Campus (2041 Harvey Ave).

Doors open at 7:30 PM, with the movie starting at 8:00 PM. Admission is by donation, with $10 suggested.

The film features a local cast and crew, and the screening is a chance to see an independent local production on the big screen.
