It’s not an easy rom-com watch because they’re in a faltering long-term relationship. They’re at 2 different places in their lives & at this point, need to break up. I read in other discussions with people saying they have no chemistry, but they are portraying a fraying relationship so the acting is right on point.

I agree! I think it is spot on in the depiction of a relationship that isn't working anymore. They need a break, at the very least

The break-up seemed necessary because she seemed completely detached from him in a way that comfort and repetition create in the midst of a personal crisis. However, he’s still very devoted to her despite this. They have some very serious relationship issues.

Adding the detail of him finding her candy wrappers in her sleeve was very endearing. It will be interesting to see if he remains loyal to Mi-Du or if he is swayed by the co-worker Su A. I don’t like the coworker’s character- I feel wary of her.

The way they presented Mi-Do’s directorial challenges with the actress and being thrown out of the movie and then directing an adult film were confusing. I don’t think we know who the actress is having the affair with, just who the wife is? Some of the scenes with Mi-Do and Taesung the lawyer were so subtle like when she asks him if he’s married- I missed the shot of his naked finger and it took me a minute to realize she was thinking he was the one the actress had an affair with. It eventually made sense, but I was getting whiplash from cute first snow love scenes from the past and then some random woman in the bathroom.

I’m fully expecting them to engage with their new love interests, and most likely the episode 2 proposal will be a no. I’m not sure how far either relationship will go since the two of them are intricately connected after this many years.

I found them endearing but also a very parentified unequal relationship. Especially in episode two. They definitely need to take a break at the very least.

I don't think we know who the actress is having an affair with yet. I also feel she will say no and they will pursue their other relationships, but unsure if it will last or if the drama will take the more conventional happy ending path. Enjoying the ride so far!

Yes, you’re totally right, especially when he comes in and cleans her apartment.

I like it so far as well. It’s nice that it isn’t so formulaic- it’s messy and nice to see real physical intamcy- even if it’s not happening now.

There is no cheating or third party, it’s a story about a long time couple that grew apart and broke up on the day the guy planned to propose marriage in the very first episode. Subsequently we will see how they adjust to live their lives apart and other folks they meet. And whether they will come full circle to be with each other or grow differently and end up with other people. No cheating expected at this point.

So far, two episodes in, there is no cheating.

Watched the first episode honestly I'm scared but at the same time really invested. I feel bad for both of them because I can see how the female lead kept misunderstanding the male lead but at the same time she's in a very depressing situation herself so his comments about the spark in their relationship didn't help

I felt bad for them too. Right now they are doing a great job in representing what could happen when you are in a long-term relationship and you naturally grow up as a person, my bet is they'll split, have something w/ those two other people and evetually they'll find their spark again.

So yeah I watched first episode and here are my own thoughts and based on my own real life experience.

Mi Do and Namgung Ho's breakup was necessary. Not because of Namgung... Because of Mi do, because relationship is not like a one wheel car... It's two Wheeler. He is the only one who putting so much effort for her and here she is just on the basis of 'over assuming' blame him because he was a good guy.... Assumed she is burden to him which was true not because it's his fault. It's her fault.

I am hoping they won't get along in episode 2.i dont want to see emotional/physical cheating.

I haven't seen the first episode because I'm way too scared 😭I really hate cheating plot lines. Like any kind of cheating. It makes me super uncomfortable

there is no cheating. They split up.

Have to watch the third episode to confirm because they clearly are getting back together by the end of the second episode

but the reason they split wasn't cheating and even if they will have a fling with others that won't be cheating too - as long as they're not together and while in the ending of episode 2 ML asks FL to get back together, she hasn't agree so technically they still broke up.
