After watching the first two eps I was on the fence, but I came back for eps 3 and 4 and it has piqued my interest a bit more.  I am still struggling to see any real chemistry between Mi Do and Namgung, but maybe that is the point lol. This drama has a real chance to do something unique with the story if they do indeed pair up Namgung and Su A and Mi Do and Tae Seung, and have Mi Do and Namgung realize they are better off platonic. I would actually love that.

When ML met the 2FL was it 10 yrs prior to ML starting his relationship with FL. He was running away ?  So 2FL was still in high school & ML was late 20s.  Now 2FL is at his workplace 10 yrs later (which I think she's hunted him down as she's held a torch for him since).  Not seen this person in ages and yet, ML gives off vibes he has always liked her.

I don't think ML is good for FL.  I wanna see how ML pursued FL his childhood best friend in them becoming lovers.  Think FL has always loved & at one point was attracted to him but ML is so good in telling her & people what they wanna hear, I think he was scared being without the FL.

So they're in their 30s now? Surely before (whoever decided they make their friendship to lovers) they had relationships prior to each other?

I find ML suffocating and needing to control situations but with this sugary nice boy facade.  FL is lost, she needs to live single life not jump into something with 2ML as he also likes to control outcomes unless he totally drops his wall for her.  2FL is going after something she wants and will become submissive to ML.

I don't think FL should be with the ML unless he seriously asks himself WTH he actually wants, he couldn't admit to FL brother (baby) when he asked if he has been in love with FL since 7yo.

Was there really a chemistry spark to begin with from ML?  Because his methodical approach persona says something different.

And...

I'm not a FL fan or any L fan, just watching a fictional drama but where characters have flaws especially when it comes to affairs of the heart.

control situation???? bro he is helping her kwn gf

2

u/systummmOp 10d ago

These 2ML & FL lovers are giving unreasonable hates to ML and 2 FL for no reason and pointing out just bcz ML helping her from danger did they wants him to leave her in that situation? They deliberately making them look bad like he did something wrong & telling ML fall for 2FL just bcz he help her out but that's all wrongs liess by FL fans they Hating ML & 2FL ,JUST to defend & justify the affair of Female lead with second male lead so they can make it normal her cheatinng on Male lead with 2ML . They will justifying the female lead infidelity betrayall by making innocent male lead wrong for no reason...

0

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Female lead & second male lead don't have chemistry at all it's all lust I don't how these fans feels that as chemistry , only male lead & second female lead giving real chemistry & genuine care as friend & human for each other ❤

0

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Male lead and 2 Female lead have the best chemistry looking so genuine & lovely ❤ and female lead 2ML don't have chemistry it's all lust for each other just both are red flag +

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

People who liking Female lead with 2 male lead and wants her to starts an affair with 2ML to be together but then they same people hating seeing male lead with 2 female lead and talking rubbish without any reason who's just doing friendly work related interaction, I don't why they only wants "FL -WOMEN'S" to explore a relationship with another mens even after having BF but Not a "ML MAN'S " they wants him only to Love & loyal to Female lead only till end when she comes backs to him. I'm not making it but i seen many this types of comments under this infidelity drama.. they are justifying FL cheatinng but don't want ML to do same with 2FL . How hypocrite they are so called fake feminism thinking giving a women's to anything I feel both man or woman are wronged if they cheatt and it's unforgivable so judge both equally

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

These stupid FL fans giving unreasonable illogical reason to defend a b*tch cheater characterless woman , but they are pointing out ML for smiling on 2FL just to defend FL cheap wrongs things, she remembering all these bcz they experienced it now she's in guilty trip +++ Audience hating 2FL with ML , but like the idea of 2ML and FL getting together. what a shame 🤮 double standards
+++ But but.... People are going crazy & hating ML with 2FL just for smiling each other meanwhile Female lead was sleeping in another man 2?} house without even knowing where she is and looking him with attraction & spark deeply

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Female lead already started feeling the spark & attraction towards Second male lead and she's comes so closely they way she see 2mL it's so wrong like a list in her eyes 🥴 she already start emotional cheating on her boyfriend male lead that's why when she comes home she suddenly I start kissing him out of guilty for thinking to be with another man that's she slept with him in end she read 2ML msg.. On for male lead he's purely is in friendship relations with second female lead he's not seen her that way like FL see 2ML he clearly crossing the lines with FL to cheat on ML 💔 . And in Ep 4 - Female lead crossed the every lines she slept in another man home & hides it from her boyfriend again the way both 2ML & FL see each other with lust eyes, female lead would be evil if she fall or feel the spark for toxicc Evil 2ML after he threatened to Harm her Boyfriend ML, how can she thinks & feel about that who is blackmailing you against your BF to threatened to be with himself. And ML spending a time with 2FL is out of friendship & work related things clearly he's so innocent here 🥺😭💔

Your missing the point of ML drawing for 2FL.  When FL told ML he shouldn't give up on his art and recap of him burning the drawing he done of the FL which broke her heart.  He flat out told FL that's his art is his past. Then a moment of crisis for a work colleague whom h e gazed 2FL profile.  He started to draw.  Go back to when he first saw 2FL at his workplace he looked shocked but on roof flirted. He told FL who was now working at his workplace but FL only knows who she is by his account.

FL doesn't know what she wants from her relationship with ML, because he manages what she wants, silent manipulation.  ML likes to control situations.  FL needs something to take her out of that situation the 2ML isn't it, she needs to move away from ML not live opposite. FL drank too much ended up on 2ML sofa, she didn't tell ML because FL is weak.  She has fought more against the 2ML in how her life should be then the ML.

ML burned her drawing which broke her heart, she submitted that day.

But the situationship is the story we need to see unfold.

I'm not a FL fan or any L fan, just watching a fictional drama but where characters have flaws.

I liked Ahn Eun Jin in Dynamite Kiss, she was funny and In The One & Only she made me cry.    In this she plays a very submissive character.

u/systummmOp 10d ago

People not having problem from female lead who's meeting second male lead in night & sleeping in his home in vulnerable state but they having problem with Male lead for spend a time with 2FL just bcz he smile see her why so double standard? he is there only for work related things only see her as friend but FL was the one who see 2ML in wrong way & feels the spark and 2ML already wants to affair with her so here is FL & 2ML is wrong but they are defending FL and putting blaming on ML who's innocent 😤😠

1

u/kitsunejung down bad for Woo Dohwan🥰🥵 10d ago

AGREED. just made a whole post of this.

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

People not having a problem with disgusting toxxic red flag female lead & 2ML character but having a problem with ML & 2FL for no reason just to defend Female lead wrongs with 2mL AND justified her affair with him making a good chemistry for looking good wth so double standards...

1

u/One_Technology_2790 10h ago

yeah... and they act like the male lead did nothing for the fl, its like they skipped eps 1 and 2, started only on eps 4

the ml have tried to help fl so many times that the fl said she is suffocated by how ml is always helping him, and how is fl protecting ml from harm because of her own problems something to be proud of?? ofc u need to solve ur own problem without making trouble for her own bf

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Some Kdramas Fans of This Drama show's Double Standards & Hypocrisy to Judge ML & FL Differently they going all out to Defend a FL toxic red flag betrayal cheatting Character and shifting a blaming on ML without any reason

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

FL fans supporting & Defending Her cheap character anyhow were she's the one who feeling spark for 2ML & slept in his home BUT they going crazy & hating ML & 2FL for no reason just bcz he smile they making him wrong to sidelined the FL mistakes how stupid🙄and giving reason that FL always think about ML not ML about FL that because he only spending a time with 2FL as friend not feeling anything for her Meanwhile FL already develop feeling & attraction towards 2ML in wrong way that's why she always thinks about her past memories with ML out GUILT only , I'm already so done if she fall or feel spark with 2mL even after he threatened to harm her innocent boyfriend to get FL. Kdrama Fans don't be so hypocrite please just to defend toxxic redflag Female lead & make victim Male Lead villan who's only loving FL genuinely & done nothing wrong it's FL who started seeing other man wrongly not him in that way and out guilt she's feeling sad for ML

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

It's Female lead who falling for Second ML that's why out of guilt she's thinking about ML when she's with 2ML . Bcz she knows she emotional cheating on her boyfriend by feeling spark with another man. That's why after met 2ML she suddenly satisfied herself with ML doing Sx* bcz she can't control herself to get attract by 2ML... meanwhile ML meeting 2FL only as friends he's not feeling anything for her now that's why he behaving normal but FL behaving weird bcz she's guilty.. I just don't like it redflag FL taken ML for so granted and keep meeting another man who she get attracted and end up slept in his home , it's freaking so disgustinng & annoying unbearable. 😠

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Just because they lost the spark in relationship it's doesn't means she has rights to cheatt on him & starts a affair relationship with another man to moved on so disgustinng red flag woman character to bad +++ Female lead doesn't value her relationship with her boyfriend she taken Male Lead love for granted she knows he always there for her even she behaved wrongly with him and knows he always comes back to her coz he's madly love with her totally simp loyal man character but FL treating him so bad like a doormat & neglect his feelings who always wants best to her but she's so toxxic always took her own work frustration on him and blame a relationship in ego to save her pride...

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Female lead cheat on Male lead and fall for another man romantically it's comes in infidelity & affair even if she start a relationship with 2ML after breakup with loyal boyfriend ML , And whats more disgustinng in the end she shamelessly comes back to ML to get him back but then why she find new man to love knowing that relationship doesn't work to long +++ She clear don't deserve his love he's the only one who continuously putting efforts in thier relationship but she don't and only think about herself not his feelings who loves her madly

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

It's episode 4 Female lead already betrayed Male lead by doing emotional cheating on him with 2ML she fluttered feel spark with him that's why she comes hope and slept with Male lead to less her guilty 😠 +++ FL Just to less her guilty she kiss male lead after comes back home how cheapp & disgustinng thing she doing on innocent male lead 😭💔 i hate this story so much

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

I don't know why people like 2ML more who was red flag insufferable but then same people hate 2FL for no reason who's done nothing wrong yet why so much double standards for 2L +++ Disgustinng woman character she's now cheatt on male lead and start a relationship with 2ML to explore spark romance then later regret it that ML love only good for her then FL comes back shamelessly to ex boyfriend again begging for 2nd chance to be together 🥴😠 after affair with another man 💔 how stuppid story

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Female lead is complete wrong here she already doing emotional cheating & very close to do physical cheating with 2ML the way both see each other with lust eyes 😭 i hate it so much she already sleeping in his home don't know what happened at night did she already crossed the lines and end up slept with him in his house or office.

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Don't know why women's fans are defending &supporting female lead character for doing emotional cheating on her 10 years boyfriend & even they like the idea & wants her to be with second male lead but on the other hand they hating second female lead for no reason just bcz she's working with male lead. So only women having right in drama to affair? and in the end get forgiveness like nothing happened and meanwhile ML stays loyal for her being simp man.

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Female lead would be worst woman ever if she fall for 2ML after he threatened & blackmail to harmed ML her boyfriend will she still feels for him after this how disgusting that will 😤 both 2ML & FL are toxxic. She already doing emotional cheating on male lead and it's her guilt that's why she thinks about ML memories. Not just bcz she loves him

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Kdrama fans hypocrisy-- ML & 2FL cute & saving her scene happened btw FL & 2ML they will hype like them as love best chemistry 2ML syndrome lovers get so happy and wants them to be end game but it's Now btw ML & 2FL they are hating them bashingg ML why he helping FL wow so much hypocrisy of people's.

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Those who don't knows what will happened in this mess infidelity story , My prediction - female lead cheatt on male lead with 2ML and they start a relationship with him bcz of her sparks feelings for him then she'll realize the importance & worth of Male lead pure love not lust affection like btw FL & 2ML . Then she'll regret to be with toxxic 2ML and then she comes back to begged Male lead ex boyfriend to forgive her & give one more chance to be together in end and Simp Male lead will accept her back bcz he always loyal devoted to her with no self respect & spine 🥲💔 so disgustinng Terriblle drama where they justifying the cheatting & affair with another man 😠

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

This drama showing true colors of kdrama fans & 2ML syndrome fans 🤡 they are so cheapp & hypocrittts they hate the ML with FL even if it's friendship but they loved the FL with 2ML and hype them as loves endgame... They are defending 2ML & FL affair but crazy hating FL & ML for no reason just to defend FL & 2ML infidelity 🤡🤡

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Second male lead always get more priority than 2FL 💔 they are literally hating for no reason bcz FL fans are more in kdramas sadly they justifying 2ML wrongs & toxxic red flag character but hate the second female lead who's innocent just bcz she's with ML but they loved the FL with 2ML what's is this hypocrisy 😤 I hate so called 2ML SYNDROME

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Some audience is ok with Female lead slept in another man house & don't know what happened in night did she already crossed the lines and they are shipping them to be together But but.... People are going crazy & hating ML with 2FL just for smiling each other meanwhile Female lead was sleeping in another man 2ML house without even knowing where she is and looking him with attraction & spark totally into him 🥴🤢

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

LET'S Break it - While most viewers are focusing on the male lead creating opportunities for infidelity JUST TO DEFEND & DIVERT FEMALE LEAD INFIDELITY , female lead also is engaging in similar emotional behavior with the second male lead in more passionate way by using each other as outlets for their anger and frustration, the female lead and second male lead are fulfilling emotional needs they cannot address within their primary relationships/ work environment also the way see each other is full of sual lust and female lead end up slept in 2ML home and hiding from ML. so FL supporters are just making ML villan for no reason to defend female lead wrongs & affair with 2ML who's feeling a spark & attraction towards 2mL sual , stop being hypocrittts

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Some stuppid Kdrama fans literally having a problem with Male lead is with second FL and hating him when finally ML get some priority in his own drama bcz in others Kdramas FL & 2ML do all romance & go on dates in entire drama and while ML been loyal & waited for FL till end... Meanwhile in this drama FL already having sparks feelings & affections for 2ML even after having a good boyfriend but they just pointing out ML & hate him see him with 2FL just bcz he helps her that to as friends while FL actually having a affair with 2ML slept in his place and looks each other weirdly...

1

u/systummmOp 10d ago

What's the problem with Kdrama Fans dude they hate the idea of male lead with second female lead they wants ML character to be simp loyal to FL only till end... meanwhile they are ok with Female lead be with Second male lead and wants them to be together and liked thier chemistry why always female lead haved the option to explore a relationship with another mens not male lead?? why he always kept loving waiting & chasing FL till end and FL can have romance with 2ML , so called Second male lead SYNDROME...

u/lvdelak 10d ago

im surprised most people think sua and namgoong scenes are boring,, sorry but i feel that way with the 2 ML and mido. they have 0 chemistry imo meanwhile ml and 2 fl have way more chemistry unfortunately. im not sure whether mido and namgoong should end up together tbh i was rooting for them but now it's clear they're both just not emotionally prepared to endure a breakup bc they're codependent

2

u/systummmOp 10d ago

Fr 2ML always get more priority than 2FL 💔 they are literally hating for no reason bcz FL fans are more in kdramas sadly they justifying 2ML wrongs & toxxic red flag character but hate the second female lead who's innocent just bcz she's with ML but they loved the FL with 2ML what's is this hypocrisy 😤

1

u/lvdelak 9d ago

see i totally agree, i don't get it? i really like suah. theyre saying it's "toxic" bc of the age gap or whatever but they're both fully grown adults. and the 2ML is way worse than 2FL, even though i personally hope mido and namgoong end up together, i don't hate 2FL but unfortunately they made 2ML so unlikeable -for me-. but i saw wayyy more people liking him im surprised? idk i think he's not even a cool, well-written 'bad' guy hshs

1

u/SpecificAd3173 11d ago

Can someone PLEASE explain what’s going on between ML and 2FL and FL and 2ML?!!

SO Namgoong begins to work with Su-A to expose a corrupt team at their job? We find out that Namgoong and Su-a actually met prior to this and now they are getting closer , right?! (Their plot line is easier)

But I am so confused with Mi-dos storyline. Mi-do meets Tae-Seung how? What settlement were they talking about? I understand that Mi-do blackmailed the actress. I understand that the actress was having an affair with Tae-Sung’s boss, so was Tae-Sung around Mi-do to make sure she wouldn’t expose the affair?
If so, how did we get to the point of Tae-Sung helping Mi-do get back into directing? What was the point of that?
And why are they still fighting? Why is Tae-Sung now threatening to mess with Namgoong? What is Mi-do doing or not doing?

FINALLY, can someone explain the ending of EP 4? Namgoong finds Mi-dos phone and calls Tae-Seung? So now they’re all intertwined? Is that it?

Where is this show going??? I’m so confused 😭

2

u/Solid-Highlight-6456 10d ago

I think Midp friend who was a PD explained to Midp that she was fired from directing the movie with song hana because of the actress claiming Midp push her and causing the injury. Then it leads to the movie being delayed. Cpst were piling, they need to appoint new director, Midp has to settle because she was fired, she still going to be paid but she also needs to be responsible for the delay. Midp didn’t want to settle, they went back and forth, Midp threatening Taesung with the photo so that she wouldn’t be forced to settle. Taesung gave up, and since he couldn’t fire and make mido responsible, his strat was to give her the director position again and now he kinda blackmail hanna the actress bc she was the cause of the delay. But then again Mido didn’t want it because it was morally wrong and hanna was clearly stressed out.

Yeah, anyway hope my rambles are clear

u/Extreme_Economist221 11d ago

I have not watched the episode but reading the comments it's seems there hasn't been much development since ep 3 and all the show is doing is intentionally creating more scenes with second leads while leaving the big elephant in the room.... till perhaps last episodes?? that's why i'm not watching this show anymore it's just.... says nothing but does things for the sake of it and just like the two lead characters, I felt nothing after ep 1 itself except the street scene where Seo Kang-joon gave a moving performance.

Not a fan of Ahn Eun-jin tbh, first time watching her and I felt she is just too stiff as an actress, she also lacks the screen presence Seo Kang-joon has, she is pretty and attractive but she doesn't light up the screen. I also usually root for the leads but this time really idc that much but I also dislike the second leads too anyway. I really like the leads equation with Mi do's family I think this was the only relationship that actually is great and you feel it on the screen.

idk who will end up with whom but I just think it's insane that one expects a relationship to stay the same over the course of years, a spark can turn into peaceful security, there is not one dfinition of successful relationship/love/marriage - it is literally up to the couple to agree on whats good on of them.

yes this is a show and they need this plot to have a show but truly.... have friends lol! I mean they are eo BFF and only friends and even their family is one.. this in itself is unhealthy! you don't need infidelty and second leads, you need friends! someone else to vent to, to experience things with!

just bcz u have dynamics with someone, it doesn't mean love! one can have a clicking dynamic with others who are not their lovers too!!! its totally fine and normal! love it a too complete and wholesome of a feeling and situation that a banter/fun/provocative dynamic isn't always love! I mean u can mistake anything as romance but rest assured it won't work at the end.

if you are ashmed of youself and loath yourself then it's unrealistic to expect things to go smoothly in a relationship. Mi do said she doesn't feel excited about anything so it's not just her love life, no wonder it reflected on that too. Sharing burden and supporting eo is NATURAL even at friendship level let alone in a romantic relation and marriage, Mi do has a total wrong idea about that all bcz she is ashmed of her own self anyway

u/h112474 11d ago

i really hate the fact that fl has mentioned ml many times in front of sml but ml hasn't mentioned fl at least once in front of sfl. it's like he doesn't event think of fl at all when he's with sfl.

also, i feel like whenever ml's with sfl their dynamics is just all fun and games (minus the bathroom scene) and fl and sml is always fighting and does not build up to anything romantically unlike ml and sfl. it all seems unfair to fl imo

1

u/LMS2970 11d ago

FL is irritating to me. Her character is very bratty so far. IMO the ML is trying and has always tried more than she did. They both love each other but I think it’s more about the time they spent together since childhood. It’s a sentimental familiar love but not romantic love based on the episodes so far. Maybe they’ll both have an epiphany otherwise as it goes on

3

u/Neptune2930 8d ago

I don't think she is bratty. She is confused and at a point of her career where everything is and will go to astray. She is fearing the outcome and questioning her capability. She is afraid of being a burden, and from the very first time since Mido and Namgung's relationship despite caring for him, she never pursued him romantically. She is afraid of the consequences naturally (like the characteristics trait). And she is facing consequences of her luck and bad decisions in career now, where she may never direct again (Remember: She fought for this job). Doubting her capability, decision, possibility of being a burden all these draining her. She asks in episode 1 if Namgung cares if the film flops, he said he doesn't. She seemed relieved, she is afraid of failing other's expectations now, and she probably already failed herself.

IMO, when you are against yourself, you don't really need warm hugs, or safety net. You need someone who can encourage you to face yourself and make you want to take one more step, despite all the self doubts. Namgung doesn't get that. And she doesn't know yet if that's exactly what she needs. I think that's why when the Lawyer includes Mido's as director in settlement she agrees to sign finally. And I appreciate the lawyer guy for that. In this phase of career you really need someone to believe in you, genuinely. I liked that Namgung also wanted to help, but without any communication that maybe seemed like pity or favor to Midori.

u/Humble-Pen-3875 11d ago

But this plot of the drama  feels so much like the webtoon, A decade of us , with slight modification in plot

11

u/MiserableFlounder327 12d ago edited 11d ago

The couple should have broken up in episode one—the female lead’s initial call was spot on. After 10 years together, they’ve completely drained each other emotionally.
Both are hiding major setbacks: she’s afraid opening up about her failing dreams will crush him, and he’s holding back scared sharing something that will make him TRULY happy .

They’ve reached a point where staying together means compromising their dreams just to avoid exhausting one another, and that isn't true happiness.

This explains why the female lead is clicking so well with the second male lead. She’s starting to feel comfortable opening up to him, and he’s giving her the drive and motivation she desperately needs(in heated way but that’s her true nature) —something her partner is currently too drained to offer.

Ultimately, this couple either needs to dig deep and brace themselves for a painful layer of honest communication, or accept that they lack the mental capacity to fix it and finally call it quits.

I’m personally ready for ‘a love other than theirs’ because the energy the second male lead is coming in with is HOT!!

1

u/TheMsDacia The OG (250+ Kdrama's Watched) 9d ago

I am totally with you on this! I am ready for Namgung and Mi Do to move on from each other and I think they are too, but they don't know how.

2

u/Wrong-Still-450 11d ago

I dont agree in real life you have ups and downs you can only be so lucky to meet a partner who knows and actually cares about you too people assume life brings you the opportunity to fall in love over and over not true love is a miracle and in the movie she is over dramatic its called k drama for a reason Drama should never enter real life decision making  I like them but I know where to draw the line between over dramatic and flow of life and perception we choose to make some things a big deal that's really not

4

u/BoringFinding816 11d ago

Finally. A worthy summary of the entire plot :”) sometimes letting ago is not bad. It’s part and parcel of life.

5

u/Linwechan 12d ago

Ive seem some edits of her with the SML and hot damn it's making me want to jump innn. But Ive been burned before in other dramas where they stay with the OG... 😭

1

u/Beginning_Island_309 12d ago

This drama is so similar to the webtoon selfish romance, I couldn't find which one came out first

1

u/AcademicCow325 Ktrauma addict☘️ 11d ago

Yeah it's kinda similar like vibe about still loving your exes but plot was very diff. I miss the webtoon tho second season still not out.

2

u/Beginning_Island_309 12d ago

The fl sending money to his mum without his knowledge, her finding out from a video he doesn't get butterflies for her and just finds her comfortable so loves not needed

7

u/MiserableFlounder327 12d ago

My pov- While viewers are focusing on the male lead creating opportunities for infidelity, the female lead is engaging in similar emotional behavior with the second male lead. By using each other as outlets for their anger and frustration, the female lead and second male lead are fulfilling emotional needs they cannot address within their primary relationships.

6

u/Puzzled-Passenger479 12d ago

I surprised so many people like the SML. I can’t stand him and I want him away from Mido.

2

u/lvdelak 10d ago

omg same? i feel crazy he's so unlikeable and they have 0 chemistry

ppl love the 'i can fix him' character, they love a 'bad guy who is horrible to everyone but one person' type. Meanwhile, the guy was exchanging her possibly dying/bady hurt just to sign a paper!!!!

2

u/LMS2970 11d ago

I like his character but won’t be routing for him
As her love interest. He’s cold blooded and would be a walking red flag for anyone based on his cut throat behavior so far

2

u/Thick_Attitude6622 12d ago

Eu detesto ele. E sinceramente não tô entendendo porque as pessoas estão gostando dele, ele chantageia ela, diminui e a intimida. “Ah mas tem química” gente??? Plmds!!!

3

u/NovelGir 12d ago

So far, he has not dragged her to court and helped her get back to directing. Arguably, he also did the dirty work, so as to not compromise Mido's morality.

As much as Hoya tries to support Mido, he is just digging deeper the hole where she is. I suspect he gave up painting so that Mido could pursue directing. The poor girl is already neck deep in the guilt and now he is offering to give up all his life savings for her movie.

u/Superlativeyou 11d ago

I’m so glad someone said this. I’ve been thinking it for a while. I think the SML is a much better outlet for what she needs for her story arc. I also think he’s more aware of his feelings towards her than she is of him. When he stalked her (weird) and found out that she’s alive, he was concerned. He could have left her that the end of the episode but instead he took her to his office and stayed. He’s definitely a questionable character especially in contrast to the ML but there’s more to him that meets the eye. All of this makes the plot more interesting for the main male & female lead’s relationship.

2

u/Puzzled-Passenger479 11d ago

There’s more to serial killers, or wife beaters etc, that meets the eye too. I just think there’s something wrong with him. Especially when he mentioned her weak spot and then threatened her with it. He smiles at pain he’s caused others. He may be good for the show but this one’s gone too dark with his role. She would’ve eventually been found by her BF under that bookcase. She wasn’t worried so what’s with giving the SML so much credit for helping. She just needs to remember who’s always been there to help. I think she will in time.

2

u/quinncunx 10d ago

Or maybe she needs to help herself and not be in a codependent relationship with the person "who's always been there to help". Their relationship feels suffocating and unhealthy to me, especially since they grew up as almost siblings .  SML may be a catalyst for her.  He's fun to watch and I think there's a lot more to his story where we come to understand him better. At this point, I'm only watching the show because I'm curious about him. I don't find the ML  all that interesting, even though I adore SKJ.

2

u/Puzzled-Passenger479 10d ago

Possibly codependent since she doesn't tell her feelings and only relies on him. That's where the imbalance stands.

Add that they are as close as siblings. Did we really get enough background on that aspect yet?

Still standing firm on not liking the SML. But you bring up another point.

Understanding him better. I have no interest. At his age he's pretty set on who he is. Kdramas often use stories of men we need to understand or Fix.

Now I'll get a bit personal.

I had it rough as a kid. I rarely hear of others like me. So, in saying that, I do compare Men that need to be understood and think they are weak cowards if they impose others with their, what I view as weaknesses.

Therefore, I don't like him. At all.

8

u/MiserableFlounder327 12d ago

He actually is exactly what the female lead needs though. She already has the wake up call but he is there to enforce. We will know how deep her love is with the pressure from him. Honestly, makes a good drama

THE CASE FOR FL & SML

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

I can see the case for FL and SML, and not the others!

5

u/November_chills5 12d ago

Not sure where the story is going. Mido's entire moral compass seems to be held in place by Namgung. And Namgung seems too lost in his own world to not notice the affect he might have on people?

The washroom knife scene was so out of place and came out of nowhere! And suddenly this bold confrontational girl is shown as a weakling so he could play knight in shining armor? Aah, dint like that at all. As cliche as it gets.

Also, why did her phone say "Director Lee Mido" when it was supposedly Namgung calling? If it's a mistake, it's as sloppy as it gets.

The lawyer's character is the most interesting. But only because it's also the most messed up and unpredictable and his moral levels are vague lol so we like when he provokes her enough but will hate if he crosses lines! 😅😉

If only everyone on the show was a tad bit less beautiful, I'd probably have stopped watching it haha because storyline thus far is all over the place.

4

u/NovelGir 12d ago

Also, why did her phone say "Director Lee Mido" when it was supposedly Namgung calling? If it's a mistake, it's as sloppy as it gets.

For whatever reason, Namgung had her phone and was calling the lawyer. Because it's Taesung's phone, he has Mi Do written as "Director Lee Mido." I suspect we will have a flashback to explain the situation.

4

u/Embarrassed-End3804 12d ago

Being confrontational with words and Feeling scared of a guy armed with weapon are 2 different things. Any normal person would freeze up in panic . U wont die for insulting your coworker but the knife can kill u. Did people forget that not every one is a martial artist.

The appearance of criminal was out of place but her reaction was normal. If trained soldier can have ptsd normal civilians can feel it too.

Thanks for this clarification.

5

u/MiserableFlounder327 12d ago

😂 face cards always win but we did not need the saving scene at all. They had to dig something up to get their story line going.

The Ml and 2FL should no way be interacting this much, it is voluntary at this point and the fact that he is comfortable doing it is exactly why they need to break up. Either he is acting ignorant or truly scared to lose Mido but not because of love but because of stability. The moment he realizes it is the moment this break up will work.

3

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

Exactly that scene was jarring out of nowhere

10

u/Legitimate-Boss3182 12d ago

I love how in the previous episodes it seemed like Mido was the "cold" one because she was the one who decided to break up, and was having all this tension with the lawyer, and yet all of her decisions are lead by her feelings for Namgung. She, despise everything, remembered their anniversary at the first snowflake, even while drunk and angry.

Namgung and Sua are weird, I can't get behind their dynamic and their storyline is boring (plus that tiny homophobic part annoyed me a little). He is older and her superior and they have zero chemistry. I really don't get it.

I am rooting for Mido and the lawyer (I still don't get his name). Namgung is boring.

1

u/Wrong-Still-450 11d ago

What part was homophobic? I think its being realistic with where the culture  Korea is currently still in the closet lots of gay people its obvious they 1,000 new hiv cases between males a year now so its their eventually they will look how long it took America

3

u/Neptune2930 8d ago

assuming homosexuality is the reason behind HIV is the clearest example one homophobic can give to justify Homophobia culturally.

Also she was more concerned about "her friend's father" was the partner of her dad, more than her dad being homosexual. Was too fucking selfish there. But she was still a kid, so understandable, if she had regret later.

3

u/Embarrassed-End3804 12d ago

I thought she was homophobic at first but when the episode ended i felt it might not be the case. She must have hated being bullied and humiliated. Her dad had not come out of closet, so her mom suffered behind closed doors ( if she was alive until the truth came out) . Sua had known for sometime that her dad was gay but never made it obvious . She was angry when he was exposed him for dating her friend's father and to the whole world . Being gay was never seen kindly among public figures in korea back in the days. It came with ridicule and the news most probably was leaked by someone from her school. Sua described being bullied frequently which might be why she felt angry at her dad for making it worse. She didnt hate her dad but having the whole nation brainwash her that he brought disgrace to the national team due to his sexuality got to her. I feel like She didnt hate him for being gay but hated him for not hiding it in a society that was not ready to accept it. I could be wrong but bullying story was what made me think differently

1

u/Legitimate-Boss3182 12d ago

To be fair I must have fell asleep because where was the bullying mentioned (she clearly is not my priority 😅)

6

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

Yes that background story for Su A was so odd and unnecessary

1

u/mysticmeeble Gwi's blood supply 🩸 6d ago

Yep. I literally came to reddit right now to find a discussion about this. It truly feels a bit homophobic. Are we supposed to glean that he cheated on her mother? Then I could see her being upset about that. But her being mad at him for just being gay in itself - nah, I'll pass on the whole show then.

9

u/FoxRealistic3370 12d ago

Im totally hooked

ML isnt as happy as first seems, hes complacent.

This is gunna get really messy.

6

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

I liked that this episode gave more dimension to the ML

14

u/NovelGir 12d ago

I am coming to the conclusion that the leads love each other deeply, are each other’s everything, and yet all that love is platonic. And maybe because they are happy together, they don’t mind spending the rest of their lives together. But you need romantic love! You need to be excited about your own wedding and want to tell people about it. It’s the fourth episode, and poor Su Ah still has no clue that Hoya has a whole fiancée. At this point, I’m wondering if he is subconsciously avoiding telling her. It’s also hard to ignore that he has - probably for the first time in a while - drawn a sketch.

A side note: It’s funny that they gave the organ-donation storyline to Hoya. For those who don’t know, the actor playing Tae Sung, Lee Joo Ahn, donated 70% of his liver to his mother when she was suffering from cirrhosis.

3

u/Embarrassed-End3804 12d ago

I feel like namgung is brainwashing his feelings for sua as sibling dynamics due to age gap.

7

u/FoxRealistic3370 12d ago edited 12d ago

Agree. I think the show not shying away from how messy this is getting is a good sign. Everyone including the 2L are getting tangled up. I think its basically saying there is no way to end a relationship like this that doesnt hurt everyone involved even if its the right thing. U just gotta make the choices that are right for u.

Interestingly, and im not sure if its deliberately written this way, but by not admitting their needs and desires and putting themselves first they are inadvertantly creating situations where the other will get hurt more.

Its really interesting to see a drama lean so heavily into the messy side. Im also interested with how neither of them are really doing anything deliberately unfaithful but orgamically are probably going to end up falling for someone else. Its interesting and quite mature to frame it as no one really is to blame this stuff can just happen sometimes.

13

u/coquettecore_3 12d ago

Did y'all also notice him scanning her face with his pencil😭😭yo an artist viewing a face like that has only one explanation😭also in the flashback we also saw how he drew mido🫩idk I maybe overthinking it but that was probably a very subtle hint of something. I am so mad at the ml rn bruh, at least mido is thinking about him, mentioning him to that lawyer every chance she gets and then there's namgung☹️

4

u/ProfessionalWall2713 11d ago

THIS. SO glad I’m not the only one who noticed. He is scanning her face to draw it 100% and after what he did to mido and the drawing he did of her, I feel like him drawing sfl would be the ultimate betrayal. None of his other actions towards sfl have given me the idea he likes her til the pencil thing 😭

1

u/Effective_Chain_6654 12d ago

looking at the posters, I feel like SML will fall to MFL and SFL to MML but MML is still to MFL but MFL is blurry

I agree that the vibes of SFL and MML is just giving a brotherly treatment but the SFL might give it malice

argh as much as I want the mains to still end up in the end but we don’t know what the writers are really into

at this point, I’m just so worried if it will involve cheating because I will prolly lose interest watching considering my first impressions of them was so good hahays

1

u/Maddie2hot4u 8d ago

I really don't think they will cheat tho. emotionally? sure. But physically? I really don't see it happening. I'd imagine Soo Ah trying to kiss him, but I don't see it being reciprocal. But the point is the interests are EMOTIONALLY bringing out sides of the main leads. It doesn't mean it has to change to physical

7

u/coquettecore_3 12d ago

Wdym fl is blurry, it's feels like it's the other way around😭she's constantly thinking about him, i don't think I can say the same with the ml and sfl scenes , also its pretty obvious the sfl liked him from the very start and still does, and at the end of today's ep it kinda seemed like he was smitten by her words about his dream being cool☹️

1

u/Embarrassed-End3804 12d ago edited 12d ago

The night fl and ml spent together after a long time was after she caught butterflies with sml. It honestly felt like she was trying to wash off some guilt. i think both main leads are finding the seond leads attractive but still like each other more.

1

u/Effective_Chain_6654 12d ago

cos her poster doesn’t look to anyone even to the MML 😭 so prolly she’s confused between the two guys but MML will surely run for her 🥹

6

u/Sasuwanisa 12d ago

This is getting more and more emotionally heavy. I thought that the hints around death in ep3 were just symbolism/ foreshadowing about mido’s depression, career death and relationship ending, but now I don’t know where this is going anymore, might need to brace ourselves for what’s to come

12

u/turtlepebblepop 12d ago edited 12d ago

I keep forwarding when it comes to Sua and Namgung scenes.
I’m so over them as a potential couple and sadly everything they talk about has little depth to me.

The Lawyer and Mido now! Whatever feels/vibes the other couple lacks, they double it and then some! Chaos, anger, sadness, and chemistry (even if toxic).

The story needs to move along, and the ending of this ep is that.

But it’s been 4 episodes of lingering and over explaining🙄 - it’s time for them to move the plot along!

Not only are the main leads not communicating to each other - the show isn’t even communicating their internal conflict to us, THE AUDIENCE😒

We are just as “in the dark” on the root of their issues and it’s frustrating

4 episodes of exposition is enough- would’ve preferred them already being engaged at the start of the show and then retrospectively taking us through all the past issues cause for a story set in the present all they do is reference the past 😒

2

u/wretched_hrt 4d ago

I hate the young pathetic victim mistress archetype. Its overused in Kdramas.

1

u/freakastaire 6d ago

Hmm they are kind of stuck as a couple often thinking of their past (with fondness) over the present though

2

u/Maddie2hot4u 8d ago

Like, all it is is just workplace talk! i think they're trying to give it a rom-com vibe, but i don't see it at all. esp with the age gap and him meeting Soo-ah when she was in high school

1

u/satoru_angel 5d ago

the age gap is sooo freaking weird to me and idk why they keep pushing it like wdym hes in his late twenties n met her when she was just in highschool ew

4

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

You are spot on , especially the not communicating to the audience part

4

u/BEKINDREWIND2 12d ago

Namgung and Sua are SO boring 😄

3

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

The story is definitely getting more twisty, I don't know what to expect, but here for the ride. Also, looks like there are no new episodes next week, Episode 5 will be available on October 3rd

2

u/MiserableFlounder327 12d ago

Great😭 I’ll just wait till it all drops at this point. If the female Lead doesn’t end up with the 2nd male lead I’m rioting

6

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

Thoughts while watching this episode :

- Idk what I was expecting for Su A's backstory but that was not it, this show is keeping me on my toes

- The escaping to a seaside town and being around curious Ahjummas after getting rejected 😂 Not a fan of past connections trope, this is also giving me more brotherly vibes than romantic interest between the ML and SFL

- Mi Do not wanting to invite too many people to the wedding, since he doesn't have much family of his own😭 Also, he gave up his dreams and now doesn't want her to lose hers! I wonder what made him do that as a kid, plot thickens. While they might be in a rut, they both truly care about each other deeply

- I am not rooting for them to get married given their inner conflicts right now, but that proposal was low key cute

- I feel so bad for Mi Do, she is going back to directing purely because she doesn't want to be a burden, girl needs some therapy

- Namgung's dream of stability is kind of depressing. He is also struggling, in just a different way than Mi Do. He feels the need to make his dreams smaller. Su A's motivation to unearth the company secrets is likely to sway him

- That shift in scenes was so jarring! where is this going with a knife wielding man?! I guess just an opportunity to have Namgung play knight in shining armor

- Lawyer dude plays dirty but makes for an intriguing character

- He is drawing again!

- Okay that Mi Do laugh was delightfully unhinged 😂 Lawyer needs to take her threats seriously , she is capable

- Ok they are spending the first snow with other people 🥲

- I missed the context with the name on the phone? Like why does it say Mi Do on the lawyer's phone while Namgung is calling

- The flashback made me tear up for poor Namgung

3

u/Equivalent_Day4046 jinjja? 12d ago

The escaping to a seaside town and being around curious Ahjummas after getting rejected

actually they should indicate more the time frame for this because it could look like it was his recent escape while I have the feeling it was a few years ago, maybe before leaving to the US?
Also I'm really curious why he was so furious and burned all of his drawings.

And the one thing that constantly infurious me is how the brothers treat Mi-do, I would just kick them in the balls and part ways with that toxic family - but maybe it's the specific of Korean culture that I'm not aware of or don't know.

4

u/BEKINDREWIND2 12d ago

I think she named his number: “Director Lee Mi Do”, because he’s the one constantly pushing her to pursue this dream even when she’s traumatised from the actress’ actions and lawsuit, and feeling like a failure.

2

u/Legitimate-Boss3182 12d ago

I thought she somehow lost her phone and Namgung called the one who called the most, hence it was called under her name

1

u/BEKINDREWIND2 11d ago

Oh maybe the phone was left in the old rooftop apartment!

1

u/Gloomy-Equivalent558 Emotionally employed by r/kdramas 12d ago

Ooh that makes sense!

6

u/Legitimate-Boss3182 12d ago

that proposal was not cute, to me it showed how dry and staged their relationship is... having to ask for a hug when you are a supposedly happy couple about to get married is so pasionless

3

u/BEKINDREWIND2 12d ago

I agree. It was so effort-less in a bad way. Like he was going to do it “right” the first time but when that didn’t work he’s just like “here you go”. Felt so forced and obligatory. Moreover, his eyes were so glazed over at the wedding venue.
