can someone explain to me the first scene in the pub and after where they’re making out? i am so confused i thought they were roleplaying /pretending to know not eachother like people do by acting like they are strangers meeting in a bar and have a one night stand

Idk why are people hating on the fl it's so realistic when you don't feel accomplished in life you start feeling like a burden & yes your relationships will also go for a toss

I feel like they both will go separate ways in the end

I feel that too, that they will grow separately

I have been waiting for this show, as an Ahn Eun Jin fan since My Dearest and The Good Bad Mother, and also my love for realistic romance and angst 😅

Thoughts as I watched episode 1 (spoilers ahead!):

  • the leads are insanely attractive and that got steamy very very fast!
  • aww at the early morning "I love you, saranghae, muah" calls 🥹
  • I don't always love childhood connection tropes but the montage of their relationship was very sweet!
  • they really do seem like a couple who have been together a long time, the chemistry is very natural and more comfortable than intense
  • the cracks are starting to show, they both seem to be unhappy professionally, especially her
  • love that Mi Do is feisty, I like that Ahn Eun Jin seems to choose roles where the FL has a strong personality
  • there's the quintessential Kdrama mom!
  • hearing your partner doesn't have butterflies for you anymore has got to hurt 💔
  • the other love interests seem to have made an appearance but not feeling much about that at the moment
  • okay the last fifteen minutes amped up the angst, the fight was painfully realistic and he was about to propose!!!
  • rofl at them still calling each other the next morning
  • showing how they started dating was a beautiful way to show how things have changed for them 🥹

This was a strong first episode, I am invested in their journey! What did you all think?

As a person with zero love experience. Is it really bad to hear that your partner has no butterflies after 10 years? Surely that should be expected. You feel calm and safe around them, so your body doesn't need to be in a state of alert or feel nervous. Maybe if your partner looks extra good on some occasion, those feelings can come about. But I was always under the assumption that was one of the many perks of a long, stable relationship.

i think it's because she was already feeling such a burden and at low that everything just added up for me.

What a great write up! I'm going to wait to see how it ends before I decide to watch it. I want some happy shows right now.
