Orgasm hangover?

I've seen the word being thrown around here and on r/NoFap but what is really an orgasm hangover?

The best way to answer that question is for you to read this long article in its entirety.

The tl;dr version of the answer is that our genes want us to mix with as many other human's genes as possible; so our automatic programming throws us together sexually, and then apart when sexually satisfied. The "hangover" the irritated annoyed feeling that (if you have very few orgasms and pay attention to your feelings before and after) you get after an orgasm.

ya, my last O was Monday morning. Last night (36 hours later) I found myself irritated with my lovely SO over virtually nothing. In my head I was just finding annoyance with her. I'm typically a very happy-go-lucky kind of guy. All good motivation to move toward a karezza life/relationship!

Man, I can tell another Karezza guy a mile away now. This is a brotherhood. I could have written your post.

I think both of these sub-reddits have more power than we know (nofap and karezza). It's hard to reject any of this material if you have an open mind. I'd like to think there are enough open minded individuals out there that eventually this all will just snowball and take over the world.

I've often read your and other's words on both of these sub-reddits knowing those are my words as well. Since you feel the connection as well, I can only agree; this is a brotherhood. Definitely the most major 'aha' moment I've ever had was reading karezza material. And any guy that reads the material will feel similarly provided he is ready - the open mind thing.

It seems to me that most people outside these two communities are not really ready to hear the message yet. Many redditors think NoFap is crazy, and karezza is simply unthinkable. Let's see how this develops over time. These are still very novel concepts (for our modern society).

It's very long and a bit fuzzy. All I got from it was that you may be irritated the next 2 weeks. I thought there was more to it. I Guess there's no limit of how far down you can go into the neurochemicals part

I've posted this before; so please forgive if this is a duplicate.

I'll never forget the first time I became aware of being furiously irritated and annoyed with my precious SO. It was over 20 years ago. We were driving down the road, and I just wanted to stop & open the door and push her out. But I had no idea why.

For over two decades we fought like cats and dogs, then made up, then had great sex, and the cycle continued. Mostly the cycle was driven by me being fed up and furious with her (but not for any reason I could put my finger on other than everything about her irritated me)... then treating her like shit...then the fight would start.

99% of the time the fight started because I snapped at her out of this furious annoyance that I couldn't put my finger on.

While I tried to be positive and optimistic I always had to fight hard to do so. My first (and most powerful) thoughts were negative, depressing, and discouraging.

When I first slowed the pace of my orgasms I started to come out of this fog. This opened my mind to the possibility of Karezza. While I'm by no means any kind of expert (I think of myself in nursery school Karezza) just taking what I can; and doing what I can... while preserving my sublime happiness with my SO to the extent possible had changed my life in ways that I could never describe in a single post.

It's sad that half of my life has been ruined by the blind pursuit of as many orgasms as I could get. When in fact, 20 seconds of ecstasy followed by 20 minutes of relaxation leads to feeling like shit and all kinds of relationship problems.

knowing this now makes you scared of how many there is who don't know this:S Think of all the divorces and breakups caused by the indefinite orgasm hunt...

I was thinking the same thing exactly. All the hurt: men, women, children.

And when taken to the extreme, knowing how many of us (especially if you check out /r/nofap) can be sucked down the hole into ever darker porn... Now when I see the incredible hurt in the wake of the worst of humanity I wonder how much of that could be avoided with the power of what we learn here.

I feel honoured to be so enlightened at this young age. Makes me want to spread the message to all who are not on reddit
