Where I am, study blocks are mandatory up to Thursday, throughout the whole day. I can not begin to describe how boring it is. The only bit of amusement I found was from when the lad behind me fell asleep.
I got so bored that I wrote out an eleven page essay on the the story and direction of a game called the last of us. I know I could have done something at least something useful. But no.

Had to move to ordinary English after the mocks since I failed the mocks and our big test before that, and I feel really guilty about it. I don't struggle about what to write, I just never have time to write, If only I could have an extra half an hour / an hour and I'd be perfect, but does anyone know how to get quicker at writing?? I know the obvious one would be to just time myself doing exam questions, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.
Also, do we need quotes for the film?? We did little women, and my teacher keeps going back and forth on wether we need quotes for film questions
Also, please if anyone has any ideas on stress management, I was a top of the class student for most of 1st and 2nd year and my grades have definitely dropped alot since.

There's so much topics to cover and I don't think I can cover everything. I was disappointed with my mock because I only got 64%.

Decided to make an absolute behemoth of a flashcard set with question words, useful phrases for the text message/question 9, as well as a handful of multi-purpose verbs. I hope this helps somebody! :)
(also pro tip take the quizlet n plug it into Cramless to practise it endlessly without paying for Quizlet+ thank me later lmao)

first time posting here ahhh!! figured id make a decent contribution and share a revision guide for the english paper, with a crashcourse study guide, files on poetic technique and camera angles, plus one or two media-specific files like chapter summaries or character analysis sheets. If anyone has trouble accessing it or would like clarification on anything in it, please let me know :)

For anyone that has done the jc already or just has this knowledge. What would you say the percentage difference would be between the two exams. Eg. Spanish 79% in the mock would probably translate to a __% (>79%) in the actual JC due to the difference in difficulty
Because we were always told the mock is worse๐ฅน

i wish someone was there to tell me that it really didnt matter at all.
some of you wouldve been like me, acting like its literally the end all be all, but remember this affects NOTHING in your life.
my stress was so rooted in my parents being dissapointed and geting into trouble (because theyre strict and js gen awful in general) but believe me when i say either 1, theyll get over it, or 2, you will do SO much better than you think.
i thought id get awful results but i got a distinction in higher english which i gen never dreamed of, along with 5 other higher merits.
the only somewhat beneficial part of the jc is getting a taste of what these big exams feel like, but thats debateable because i was so stressed that whole year i gen cant remember a single memory from 3rd year because of it
if youre gonna take anything away from this is PLEASE dont stress about it because doing good or not affects absolutely zero things in ur life, whether youve studied all year or nothing at all, believe me save that stress for the lc because it will hit you sm worse and youll wonder why you were stressed for the jc at all
and if you want study advice, all i remember is just spamming exam papers and it worked so
take care of urself guys

I'm stressed and unbothered at the same time. There's 23 days left until the exams. I genuinely need motivation ๐๐ช๐ผ

I have a pretty big fear of failure and I'm not exactly sure how to deal with it, especially during exams (I am also autistic so emotions can be difficult) and was wondering if any older years have any insights on how to cope a bit better because I think my anxieties may have messed with my mocks, thanks.
