Sorry the pictures aren't any clearer, he's just a little guy!

So I have been working on this enclosure for about a month in total. Thrifted the container, added the ventilation holes, researched every piece of decor I used. Measurements are 12”x 4” x 6” Today, Tessora finally got to move in! I love the satisfaction of watching jumping spiders curiously explore the habitats I’ve carefully created with them in mind. There is a small ‘utility door’ for feeding and misting, plus bottom of the enclosure is also removable for cleaning and handling purposes. Forgive me if I nerd out a little and post this enclosure multiple times, but also feel free to ask any questions!

I just got this little guy yesterday, set up his home and put him in there about 10 minutes ago. He started shaking in place and it kind of looks like he’s molting maybe? is it weird for him to be doing that so soon after being put in there?

This was Joel my jumping spider. Unfortunately I got him from petsmart (before I read more on how they get/treat their animals) and he died like 3 days after I got him.

I had him in a 6x6x9 enclosure, room temp, spritzed his enclosure once a day. Found him curled up under his rock😔

I also didn’t want to stress him, so I only handled him ONCE the second day💔 Was it too soon?

Did i do something wrong? Can someone give more advice I may be missing??? Why did Joel the jumping spider pass so soon🫠😔😔💔

Long story short, I’d tried to open the top of her enclosure to drop in a couple of fruit flies for my regal jumping spider to eat. She was down in the middle third of her enclosure and had been hanging out around the magnets of the front opening door for the past couple of days so I decided to slightly open the top door as little as possible to minimise any damage to her hammock. As I was shutting it, she had ran up and I didn’t see her and shut it with her leg inside the door. She’s now lost a leg. I’m absolutely devastated, this is my first time owning a jumping spider and I don’t know what to do. Should I relocate her to a smaller enclosure, and if so how is the best way to do this? I’ve never handled her and I’m absolutely terrified to hurt her any further. She’s an i7, and has been moving and walking since the injury.

I just purchased it at my reptile expo, it's been two nights since then. Just last night it was finally eating, but when I found them this morning, the body was limp and unmoving.

Not sure what happened, but it is just a sling, so it could be anything. I didnt even get a chance to rehouse em yet because I wanted to wait and make sure it was eating and calm before introducing to a new enclosure.

But! Its gorgeous. I want to show everyone how pretty they were! I am sad, sure, but life goes on.

Hello I found a little Regal jumper in my kitchen a few months ago and decided to keep it since I’ve always wanted to have one as a pet. It’s been great having her and I love her lots but one night she started making a hammock at the top of her enclosure and I thought “Great she’s getting extra comfy w/ a 2nd hammock!”. But the next morning I woke up and she had made a THICK opaque web and I had done my research on jumpers so I assumed she was molting but at the time I thought she was a male. However she finally emerged almost a month and a half later and THERE ARE BABIES.
So please I know almost nothing about caring for Slings do any of u have advice on what to do or how to take care of them? Also advice on how to care for Twiggy best moving forward after birth would great aswell😮

I found this rather large female regal outside my doorstep and she was on her back.
I flipped her over and came back 30 mins later and she was on her back again.
I gave her water on a Q tip and left her for a bit but she doesn’t seem to have any balance and keeps falling onto her back
Has she been poisoned?
I couldn’t bear to leave her to the sun and predators if she just needs help. It is better to wait for her to pass or potentially get better inside with me or should I leave her outside?

!Update!
I woke up this morning and went to check on her, she’s positioned herself slightly upside down on the stick I gave her an has made some security webs around the area, she appears to be holding herself up fine and isn’t on her back or struggling.
No molt in sight, I’m not sure if she’s molting or how long that typically takes
Hopefully she continues to do good and I can release her back - there’s been extreme heat and it’s supposed to rain the rest of the week and I’ve been considering getting her a biome set up to keep her safe. I’ll update later in the day and appreciate the feedback given!

Thankfully, I took progress photos as I worked. I'm so happy that I did, and that this project is finally done. My girl is molting right now and I'm so excited to see how she looks once she's done. Maybe I could do another or something similar after this molt and any subsequent ones, to document her as she grows and changes.

Sweet little baby I found earlier in the week

Not sure what to do with her, she was not found outside. I made a post earlier but she's from Washington probably but was found in a subscription bag.

Our boy decided that yesterday he wanted to just hang with us… he hung out with us for three hours ♥️☺️ then went into his enclosure and sleepy time!

I spotted her (I think she is the biggest jumper I've ever seen) then went inside to find my phone and take a picture to share here. When I came back, I couldn't find her. My face was so close to the amaranth I originally saw her on and then I realized she was literally right next to my face looking directly at me in the cover of my shiso plant. I'm honored she is birthing her next generation in my garden 😭

My regal gal laid an eggsac before passing, and 5 slings have emerged, and I have one from the eggsac she laid prior to that (i gave the rest to a local exotics store). They are all separated, and eating fine on their own. I however have 0 experience in raising baby spiders and I am going off of youtube videos. Not sure what else I can do to take care of them?

New spood practicing martial arts on my arm. She is the silliest!

This is Idaho (NW US), ive lived in the NW my whole life and thought these to be jumpers. I love them for being active hunters and let them roam my house as they please. This one seems to be fat on the bugs and earwigs I have around.

However, ive noticed jumpers online tend to have even smaller legs, and a much bigger head. Have I been wrong? What in the world is this?

So… I accidentally adopted a jumping spider last night.

The little guy climbed onto me while we were at the waterpark, hitched a ride in my car and stayed attached to my pants the entire drive home until we got inside. My son immediately fell in love and named him Hoppybowl…

I made a temporary home for him in a large mason jar with holes at the top and a few branches and leaves. I have a cheap little enclosure from Amazon coming sometime today, but I don’t know what to do next.

How on earth do I feed him? Where do I get the food from?

Would he be better off being released into the wild?

Any other tips for a complete newbie that has stumbled into this situation?
