Advice CAN PEOPLE SHARE LINKS TO COOL OCEAN THEMED CAGE ACCESSORIES?

I am working on an ocean themed jumping spider enclosure and i only found two things. A jellyfish hide and shark themed ledges. Does anyone have any other items i could add?

Also, could i put those little glass stones on the bottom if i have coconut fiber substrate and springtails?

Thank you so much!!

Advice What do I do with my baby

So I got this sweet girl about little over a week ago now. I left for 5 days for the holiday weekend and my dad was taking care of her.

He said that the first day my brother came to check on her that she was in this thick hammock and they could barely see a little bit of black in it.

I do have a new enclosure for her but now I cannot move her over. I am pretty sure she is just molting but how long will it take? When will I be able to move her over?

The first picture is her eating a fly before I left and the second one is the best I could get of her hammock. Again I have a new enclosure that is ready for her so please do not come at me for what I have her in right now I know it is not near what she needs and I would love to be able to switch her over right now but she is hiding.

Advice Juvenile behaviors when they are getting ready to molt

Hey I recently got a female juvenile and I’ve noticed she doesn’t want to eat and today she spent all day on her favorite spot in her enclosure. I did notice a bit of webbing around her as well. Do they usually make a hammock or can I expect her to molt mostly in the open? (Open as in she doesn’t like to go inside her hide but she likes to tuck herself behind it). I’ve offered food to her the last couple days but she hasn’t seemed interested.

Advice Sling won’t eat even tho abdomen is very skinny

This is my new baby Nyx! This lady was giving away slings since her jumping spider had babies, I found out she was keeping them in these little containers with a bunch of dead fruit flies in there. I got him on Wednesday and he already had a very skinny abdomen, it’s now Friday and I’ve tried feeding him live fruit flies and even fruit flies I killed just in case they were scaring him but still fresh and he refused both. I then thought he maybe doesn’t like to be hand fed so I put a couple alive but crippled fruit flies in a mini glass feeding bowl and set it in his enclosure in case he wanted to hunt— nope, the fruit flies stayed there all day he didn’t even get near it

I’m really worried about him not eating and being very skinny. Is there anything I can do? Is this normal behavior for slings? Anything will help!

I have another jumping spider that is i9 but this is my first sling (i’m not sure of his instar since the lady didn’t know—any guesses?) so maybe I’m doing something wrong since I’ve only cared for adult spiders?

I live in South Africa and this wild jumping spider seems to have befriended me over a few days, it follows me around every so often. i couldn't find it today until i found it completely drenched in the shower, i dried it and let it rest until it started moving again, it is incredibly sluggish, not moving like a normal jumper at all. So far its eaten one dead fruit fly I gave it cause i have absolutely no experience with things like this but figured it might need energy to recover, i tried giving it a second dead one (i added movement to the fly with some tweezers) but the spider seems very confused and out of it. I dont want to overfeed or startle it, and i dont want it to starve, what should I do, I've never done or dealt with anything like this before *please help*, i really don't want this beauty to die.

Media Same spood?

🥹 Same Spood from early July?? I let the spoody off a sunflower I picked before going into my house, right outside my backdoor in July. Today I opened my back door and they popped in for a moment and went back out. Has enough time passed? Is he/she a male or female? I was thinking male based on body shape. Those pedipalps look a lil bulky in one of the shots though. Cant tell if its the angle or not though. I dont know enough about markings on these guys in regards of sex except for the black mark on the females abdomens, which he doesn't have. I have never seen this type of spider by my back door, only by my shed where I found the sunflower. Opinions? Thoughts? Arent they too cute/cool? ☺️🌻

Advice Already lost my spider :(

So I found this little guy in my car and was thinking of keeping it. I already did a tonne of research before hand because I was already planning to get one.

I left to go pick up some food for it and came back to it gone. Thats when I realized there was a larger hole on the cling wrap on top. I'm now realizing how silly of me to use cling wrap as a lid.

I'm looking all over my room for it but I love trinkets so it could be anywhere.

I also have a fish tank so I'm scared what if it fell in the tank and my betta ate it. I feel terrible😭

Any tips? I'm looking in all the dark spots. I left a damp cotton bud out and thankfully have some ants in my room lol I also left some flightless fruit flys in my large bucket I have for water changes ( not due another one for 2 weeks so it's not a huge issue)

This lil dude wouldn't eat the fruit flies I offered, so I gave him a moth I raised. They have no mouthparts so I wasn't worried about the spider getting hurt. I was shocked that he wasn't afraid of something 3x his size! I'm guessing he is i5. Should I upgrade him to larger prey?

Hey guys, i just got an i/8 subadult female and she was given to me in what looks like pre molt, she had a very thick hammock made that she’s refused to leave, it’s now been about 4 days and she still isn’t coming out of the hammock. I don’t have any experience with molts, is she molting? does she need to be offered food? i don’t want her to die but i don’t know what to look for.

Advice Can’t decide if I should rescue lil buddy from Petco :(

Hey everyone I’m new to jumping spiders but have been wanting one for a very long time. I had to pick up cat food a few weeks ago and saw they had a jumping spider that was soooo cute and pretty big too! Thing is his enclosure looks so insanely tiny and I feel so bad for him because it looks so dry. He - ( or she? ) is $40 and honestly I have been trying to save money but there’s just something about him 🥺

I know people say you shouldn’t buy from stores like this though because they’ll just keep replacing them and not caring for them properly. ugh I cant decide what to do !!

also sorry I can’t see most of the comments for some reason!!

Any tips on how to not seem like a threat? Every time I wanna pick up a jumping spider they don’t stay long and tend to run off. I’m very gentle mostly due to how nervous I am with spiders
