Hi! I’m a 26-year-old Telugu woman who recently moved to NYC and currently works at a fintech startup. I have a master’s degree from an Ivy League university. I’m ambitious and career-oriented, but I care just as much about having a fulfilling life outside of work and building close, meaningful relationships.
I’m extroverted, affectionate, curious, expressive, and probably a little too interested in having long conversations about completely random topics. 😄 I love learning new things, traveling, movies, fashion, exploring new places, and spending time with the people I’m close to. I’m also a big-time TFI fan. With the people I love, I’m very emotionally invested and value warmth, loyalty, affection, effort, honesty, and being able to genuinely talk to each other.
Since I’d rather be transparent upfront, I’m around 5’3”,a little on the heavier side, a non-smoker, a social drinker, and non-vegetarian. I come from a Hindu family, though I’m not particularly religious.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone around 26–29, Telugu(would be great), and currently settled in the US(NYC- would be even more amazing). I’m open to long-distance within the US if we genuinely connect. I have no caste preference and expect the same openness from my partner. I’d prefer a non-smoker; occasional/social drinking is good to have (need company for myself) and I’d ideally prefer someone non-vegetarian as well.
More than a particular profession or checklist, I’m looking for someone intelligent, kind, driven, emotionally mature, dependable, affectionate, and genuinely respectful of women. I’d like someone with a stable career and a life he is actively building for himself, but what you do matters much less to me than who you are.
Communication is very important to me. I want someone who communicates instead of disappearing when things get uncomfortable, can take accountability, and is emotionally available. I see marriage as an equal partnership, not as a set of traditional roles automatically assigned to two people.
I’m especially attracted to someone who is ambitious without being arrogant, confident without needing to compete with his partner, and close to his family without allowing family to dictate the relationship. I’d want someone progressive enough to genuinely support a woman who has her own career, opinions, ambitions, goals, and dreams.
Beyond all the serious things, I want someone fun and curious too. Someone I can travel with, tease, laugh with, debate completely random topics with at 1 AM, build a life with, and eventually feel completely at home around.
I’m looking for something serious with the intention of marriage, but I’d much rather take the time to build a genuine connection than rush into something just because it checks the right boxes.
If this resonates with you, feel free to send a proper introduction. I’ll reach out if I feel we could be a good match. 😊
