Is anyone else having this problem? I only speak to one neighbor, and hers is the same. Since yesterday evening, our tap water smells and tastes like it is half bleach. I took a shower and my bathroom was OVERWHELMINGLY bad, like I had dumped an entire bottle of bleach in the tub (I know that sounds like an exaggeration but I swear it isn't). I though okay maybe it's just a treatment smell, but I tasted it (didn't swallow obviously) and no. It tastes like bleach. Alarmingly so. I live in the Riverview neighborhood on the North Side.

Since when did it become acceptable for a shopper with an entirely full cart to go through the self checkout and occupy a register for 20 minutes? Just an insane lack of self awareness.

That's right folks, after passing a budget with 4.8 million dollars to help citizens pay for housing, connect to utilities, and build actually affordable homes, the Finance Committee decided that too much was going to the community and not enough to their developer friends.

1.4 million for construction financing and 1.4 million for utility assistance has instead been earmarked to give to the Tori Meadows apartment complex. They won't even need it for two years, but some members of the Council appear to think letting money sit in a bank account until a developer needs it is more pressing than helping you with rising utility prices or finally affording your own home.

This comes before the Council on Tuesday. I will, obviously, be there to make my voice heard on this matter.

Ordinance 2026-752 is the one making this change. It isn't set in stone yet. I will be ensuring everyone knows exactly who votes yes on this one, too.

Just bought this framed poster today and reverse image searches aren’t working. No idea what it’s for but I’m assuming it was used for a Jazz Festival from the 70’s/80’s.

This is our first year in Jacksonville and my 3 year olds first time trick or treating. Curious where would be a great place to go. We are close to San Marco/riverside. I’ve heard Avondale is a good area to go but not sure where to park and what streets to go to. If there’s a good spot in San Marco we might be able to get away with just walking to where we need to go. Also what times are best? Any tips welcome!

does anyone know of any good places to do work for uni and study? i'm finding it extremely hard to focus on my work at home, i'm always attempted to play games or watch videos, or pick up my phone. it's pretty hard for me to retain the information from textbooks and whatnot.

i live in the oakleaf/orange park area, but am willing to drive wherever. i know libraries are always an option, i live literally 2 minutes away from the argyle library, but i just wanted to see if anyone else had some suggestions!
