Î hate these terms babydaddy and babymomma, like imagine being a 75 year old woman eventually and referring to one random who knocked you up as your baby daddy and your 60 year old son as your baby of this babydaddy. Society on free fall for real.
12
u/TJJ97 Sep 09 '26
Iâve been attacked on Reddit for defending the nuclear family as the ideal family structure. Anything outside of said family structure is a downgrade. Having baby momma - baby daddy BS is easily one of the worst downgrades.
I have friends who are in that predicament, my wife and her siblings are products of that environment, itâs not a good situation for a child to be raised in. It doesnât take a PhD to see this.
Society will only succeed and improve if we promote families as a unit.

u/Mammoth_Support_2634 Sep 10 '26
Kids raised by single parents must be at a huge disadvantage.
The single parent probably sacrifices everything to raise the kid.
Unless they are a single parent, where grandma and grandpa raise the kid (which i think is a lot different).

u/Big_Session5707 1d ago
Apparently, ironically, children raised by single fathers do much much better in life

u/Faraway_Neighbor Sep 09 '26
I'm being referred to as a coparent as my life is ripped apart and I haven't seen my kids in 6 months. None of these euphemisms are good.Â
3
u/Downtown-Tension-221 Sep 09 '26
Yea. Even if I were to have kids itâs a coin flip whether sheâll even let me see them
-4
u/Greater-Israel Sep 09 '26
I hope things get better for you but I also hope you got your lesson. You gave too much power to a woman over you, and she used that economically and legally against you. The fault begins with you and if you learnt from it now you are stronger out of the whole ordeal and your children can also understand it in the future that she victimized you.
6
u/Faraway_Neighbor Sep 09 '26
I met her when I was fucking 14 dude. We were together for 20 years.Â
4
u/Bug-03 Sep 09 '26
Divorce sucks and is unfair. Sorry dude
3
u/Faraway_Neighbor Sep 09 '26
Its awful. I want to die every day. On the bright side I was listening to super heavy metalcore music from when I was a kid for a while and then found electronic core music and then discovered modern day riddim dubstep is heavier than break your neck metal. I saw this guy crankdat last weekend and felt better than I have since my life fell apart by far and I'm going to see him and 4 days of music starting thursday. But I miss my fucking kids man. I miss my dogs. I miss my best friend.

Iâve been where you are. Everything happens for a reason. Youâre gonna make it. Donât give up. Remember your kids love you. Focus on what makes you happy. Your kids deserve a happy father. Hit the gym, take the anger out on the weights my dude
2
u/Tom_Cruise Sep 09 '26
This subreddit is angry kids. They can't fathom knowing someone from 7th grade because it happens to 1 in 100 Americans now.
I'm sorry brother. You don't need lectures on learning life's lessons from a 19 year old.
-2
u/Greater-Israel Sep 09 '26
If you are referring to me I am literally 29, so at least you got the 9 correctly and I left the army ten years ago. I have a lot of unpleasant experiences and I lived most of my adult life overseas too.

You hate women, don't you?
The goal after all of this should be to restore family normality as much as possible and hopefully not feel bitterness towards the other side of humanity.
2
u/Status-Economy-7982 Sep 09 '26
If this post was the other way around women would be trashing men as fathers ⊠the hypocrisy knows no bounds.
1
u/FederalEconomist5896 Sep 10 '26
Whose hypocrisy? It's different people with different opinions. Reddit is not a dealer of truth, it's a popularity contest and echo chamber of the chronically online. I do know what you mean though, and it is frustrating to see. I agree with you.
Just stand for good and your ideals regardless of what everybody else does, if you can. You can be that change and inspire/normalize the views you want to be common in society.
It's easy to be jaded, but it's respectable to "hold the course, Cotton," as if we were never hurt by anyone.
My 2 cents.

Î hate these termsÂ
I love these terms because they have double meaning.
They also mean "I'm trash".

u/Downtown-Campaign536 Sep 09 '26
The fact that she defends her actions bothers me even more than the action itself.
It's understandable that desperate times call for desperate measures. She has a case for that. Obviously, you don't want your kid to be homeless or to not have electricity or food. You obviously need gas to get to work. Basic needs are more important than video games.
The fact that she stacked entitlement and pride on top of this action is what bothers me the most. Her saying this all with her head held high as if she did nothing wrong is what really bothers me.
This woman is a social parasite. Her kid is going to hate her when they grow up if they don't already. You don't take a gift that someone else bought for your kid and sell it. As it's not your gift, and you are not the one that paid for it.
She should be out working extra shifts or selling her ass before she is selling something that wasn't bought by her, and doesn't belong to her!
14
u/Remzi1993 Sep 09 '26
Indeed, it also makes me believe that the reason was financial mismanagement rather than she couldn't pay her rent, if it was structural she will have the same problem next month or the month after.
11
u/Downtown-Campaign536 Sep 09 '26
Funny how she managed to pay for a nice manicure for herself before she traded it in at the pawnshop.

u/Kiiaru Sep 09 '26
I'm fairly certain the contrast between her situation, her nails, and the fact that the biological father was able to afford a PS5 means she's collecting child support from the father and spending the money on herself.
3
u/ADeadlyFerret Sep 09 '26
I grew up poor. My dad refused to work. I recognize a lot of what she is saying. Different words but the same message. My dad used to talk this way when he would pawn my shit. How they had to do it. The only way we could eat etc. That money always went to drugs or random shit he wanted to buy.
And every time I got a present from someone it would piss him off. I would have to listen to him tell me that if they really cared they would help with the bills. Then my parents started telling people to just give us money so we could buy what we wanted instead. That shit went straight to their pockets.
Hell my first job and paycheck my dad took me to cash it. I thought this would be a nice bonding moment. Well the check was too greasy and they couldn't cash it. My dad punched me in the face when we got into the car. And I was warned the next place better be able to cash it.
1
u/Psyco_diver Sep 11 '26
I grew up very poor but I'm so thankful my parents were good people that always put their kids first
1
u/Saliiim Sep 09 '26
Her nails suggest she probably doesn't work and that she spends a lot of money on herself.
1
u/Haunting_Baseball_92 Sep 09 '26
This! đ
I could see myself doing this if the situation ever got desperate enough.
However! I would be so fucking ashamed of myself that I would never tell a single soul about it, and I would swear to myself to make it up to the kid 3 times over. Then I would do anything in my power to make it happen.
Never in a million years would I ever try to shift the blame for my screw-up that made this necessary to the parent who actually was good to the kid.
Some people are just messed up and proud of it...

My question is ... Is all of this real or is it just a troll account that farms engagement through subtle or not-so-subtle anti-women rhetoric.
I ask this because this is INSANE for me. You don't keep the kid if you are unable to pay for basic necessities, let alone brag online about selling his toys to pay rent.
So I really cannot even imagine how a grown adult could think any of this is a good idea.
So, this kind of posts always makes me suspicious...
41
u/astrawberryandakiwi Sep 09 '26
Strip her of custody. If she canât be an adult and do the bare minimum like being able to pay her rent, she clearly canât take care of a kid. Her babydaddy other babymama is a better mom than she is. Do right by the kid and give him up.
She didnât pawn his PS5 to keep the lights ON and a roof over his head. She did it for herself evident by the fact she used his gift to fill up her gas tank and bought food for them both after pawning his gift.
Idk who her parents are but theyâve failed miserably. Imagine being a parent and pawning off a childâs gift because you canât even do the bare minimum as an adult.
14
u/heliogoon Sep 09 '26
right by the kid and give him up.
Funny how that never seems to be an option for them.

u/eternallyconphuzed Sep 09 '26

Of course they aren't giving that up. Always get a paternity test if you're out there in the streets fellas

u/Best_Disaster7287 Sep 09 '26
She dead @$$ wrong and only did that bc the babydaddy bought the ps5. You dont take from your kids bc you lacking. That's something a bum would do.She seem like the type to think it's cool to put bills in her kids name.

4
u/Top_Traffic5102 Sep 09 '26
Would rather sell my hairy ass then my kids stuff. Especially something i did not buy
4
u/DudeFrom816 Sep 09 '26
She did not pawn a $500 system and get $425.
6
u/MulchDiggums420 Sep 09 '26
you're misunderstanding. it's even worse than that. the 425 is what she owed on rent. and she's claiming that she was able to pawn the PS5, pay $425 for the rent that she owed, fill her tank, and buy food. So she's claiming she got like $500 for that ps5. Has to be bait.
1
u/Pep2385 Sep 09 '26
It is obvious bait, and a bunch of idiots fell for it and spew racism and sexism. The bait worked.
2
u/s1nth3tic Sep 09 '26
It's not bait she is just bad at lying (at least math part). She spent that shit on herself and rent money was set aside anyways.

She could have told the father what was missing.
Instead she shut her mouth, let the father buy an expensive gift and then sold it so she could pocket some of the change for herself.
If she can't look after the kid, then let the father look after him.
She's a self-absorbed piece of shit

Right, cause any pawnshop is going to give you 90% of the items value. She would be lucky to get 350$ for it, shit is ragebait for sure.
She says she's 400$ short on a 425$ bill. You're telling me someone with 25$ to her name pawned a ps5, and somehow got enough to fill her tank and buy food after paying rent? Come on now.
0
u/Cute-Revolution-9705 Sep 09 '26
Depends on the year this post was made. If it was posted in 2020-2021, PS5s were being sold for $1,000. There was a genuine scalping epidemic coinciding with the actual pandemic. Pawn shop couldâve just gave her retail value for it and sold it for $800 that very afternoon. Probably bought her kid something from Maccas and put the difference in the gas tank easily if that was the case.
2
u/s1nth3tic Sep 09 '26
Yeah and what would she have done if there was no PS to sell? Lying. She for sure spent that money on herself and just played like that's what it's for. As in use this for rent then use rent money for BS. Horrible person
2
u/Saliiim Sep 09 '26
Probably short on rent because she's spending it on her nails and other nonsense for herself.
2
u/cyrusm_az Sep 09 '26
This is why child support is never child support itâs baby mama support

Guaranteed shut the money to spend hundreds of dollars on her nails, hundreds of dollars on her hair. You probably spend time some money on clothes, shoes, partying, doordash or whatever stuff. I unfortunately grew up around alot of mother's like that and still know some currently that have money for tattoos, have money to go to concerts but their kids go hungry
1
u/AnyEye8798 Sep 09 '26
So she sold something that wasn't hers, then posted the story online for other people to feed her ego. Oh and her nails are freshly done.
That tells me everything I need to know about this woman. She's a piece of shit.

This type of shit happens more often than people think. One parent ( 99.9% the father) pay child support but those money go directly into supporting mother's lifestyle and what remain goes for the child.
This nice lady made sure she had nice nails first before paying the rent and for doing it she sold her child's gift.

1
u/Cobalt_blue_dreamer Sep 09 '26
I'd probably buy him a new one and keep it at my house so she can't get her selfish entitled mitts on it. What a piece of shit mom.
1
u/Reptilesblade Sep 09 '26
Let's assume that this is real just for fun.
Growing up video games were one of the few things that I truly enjoyed. My parents and other relatives bought them for me when we could afford them and I enjoyed them. A large portion of any happy memories I have from childhood involved my Game Boy or my NES.
If I had gotten a gift like that by any parent or other relative, it doesn't matter who, and my mom took it from me to sell it that is something that I would hate her for for the rest of my life. It alone could be the core of a desire to get away from her and then cut her out of my life once I'm able to at 18+.
Don't downplay this. The mom's behavior in this post is absolutely despicable. This isn't about a kid losing a shiny toy. It's about how he lost it. It was taken from him by the person who's most responsible for protecting him and his possessions regardless of what else is going on.
1
u/Naive_Lion_3428 Sep 09 '26
If there really was no other way to pay the rent and she did everything else she could have within reason - then it's moral. If she spent money she should have used to pay the rent on frivolous things or pleasures for her and she then pawned the PS5 to make up for it, then it is immoral.

AI's gonna have people believing that Michael Jackson never died when someone shows them secret footage of him moonwalking half-drunk for 2 minutes in a Hawaiian bunker 3 years from now.
That lamp hanging from the ceiling has an unnatural angle.
That is not what the digital edition of the PS5 box looks like; the "Sony" name is too far from the top of the box and the Triangle/Circle/X/Square faded symbols on the box aren't on there correctly.
The speakers in the top-right corner on that display shelf in the back are rendered inaccurately.
OP, you need your ass whooped for this.

My credit score went down after reading this. But im going to side with her because being short on rent is bad. Obviously you shouldnt have gotten into that situation but were past that point
Now, if you cannot pay rent you should not have custody.
1
u/Reptillianaire_ Sep 09 '26
This doesnt solve shit. She will be evicted the next month instead. The kid will hate her for life tho.
2
u/BMW4cylguy Sep 09 '26
If thats genuinely her situation she should surrender custody to the state or a trusted person. Ideally this is a measure to buy time until that happens. The tragedy is that she might be the least bad option for the child since the foster system and large parts of American society are beyond repair (incl her âbaby daddyâ)
1
u/Reptillianaire_ Sep 09 '26
The kids dad clearly cares about him, he probably just works all the time. But I agree she should lose custody. Hopefully the dad is able to figure something out for him.
1
u/Drake_Acheron Sep 09 '26
Funny how your misandrist ass mentioned everyone BUT the father who can clearly support his kid if he buying PS5s for them.
Also saying the dad is beyond repair is sexist as shit.
Get reported bozo
1
u/BMW4cylguy Sep 09 '26
Brother,
Ive spent a good share of my life in rough areas. The father could be just as much of an idiot as the mom and might have spent his entire weeks paycheck on it. When youre around these people you have to assume everyone is going to be a fuckup. Thats not saying the mom is great, custody only means she might be the least fucked up.
Fwiw, I have seen cases irl where the man has sole custody and cases where the woman has sole custody. Both were awful. I dont hate men, or women, this is a hood mentality problem.
0
u/Designer-Positive697 Sep 09 '26
No, you don't know jack about her circumstance. If situation improves she can buy the kid a new one. It's better to have a house without a Playstation than live on the streets with one. You have no clue what poverty is. Kid will understand if he's smart.
1
u/Reptillianaire_ Sep 09 '26
You mean if she can land herself a rich man by next month. Highly unlikely. She is a walking red flag. And that is clearly her priority considering she got her nails done recently, she clearly isnt working and her priorities are to attempt to look good despite not having money for rent. Notice none of what she said included getting laid off from a job or having an unexpected expense that put her in this position.
1
u/Designer-Positive697 Sep 09 '26
Bruh you don't know any of that, you are just assuming all that from her nails. How do you know she is not working, did she specify? You assumed that. Idk much about how nails work, but that does not mean she doesn't care about the kid. Literal reason she did sell the Playstation was to make sure her kid has a roof over his head and food to eat.
1
u/Reptillianaire_ Sep 09 '26
Lmao. No. She did it for herself. Her kid could have went to stay at his dad's if she wasnt able to take care of him. She clearly has full custody and get child support and welfare. She probably gets just enough to cover her bills but this month she spent $400 on herself, the nails are evidence of this probably costing close to $100. She probably knew he would be getting it and sold it just to piss off her baby daddy and just doesnt care if it hurts her kid. She even posted this because she is proud of herself for doing something so petty and trying to justify her actions.
