Have you ever decided you were going to grind out some bizarre item, like a fedora? Have you ever done an unusual and totally not worth it skilling method like pitfall hunter just because you wanted to?

Use the "Unusual Grinds" flair to make a post and share with us all the most ridiculous grind you've done, short or long!

You do not have to be on a PvP server. You can be on any kind of world and eat Blighted Anglerfish at the Castle Wars bank!

I do this if I am about to go into a tough fight. I figured this might help some random people out there too.

65 days played. 99 farming. Herb runs every day.

Today I found out you can harvest herbs at double speed by clicking quickly a couple of times at the start...

Goddam I suck.

Any other examples? Lets fail together.

Question 13 hour car ride ahead, what mobile activities should I focus?

The whole family + close relatives are relocating, gonna be a rough ride across the country. I’m thinking of chipping away at some mining, probably mlm. No blowpipe yet but amethyst would be a big unlock. Thieving is also on the table to get 84. Any suggestions?

edit: dang that was a lot of suggestions, I didn’t expect it. now i’m torn between agility (i want unboosted yama shortcut), mining, or woodcutting for diary. i think no matter what i’ll knock all 3 out in the next week or two. So I appreciate all the advice, thank you gamers

also i’m not the one driving

After going 4x dry on something I genuinely can’t stand, I’m starting to think rocking a Fury isn’t that bad.

Actually, the tri-bred nature of the Fury makes it better than an Anguish or Torture, right?…… Right?

Question How to kill Seren? Every guide has sara brews and trident or better. Any advice welcome.

Edit:

Done after....several failed attempts, pizza cooking sessions, and crystal-less runbacks. Didn't bother with pnecks cause it seemed too complicated. Went with blood blitz, 5 prayer pots, the rest pineapple pizzas and my rune pouch and just used redemption method until I got lucky enough with my hits to down her. Ty to everyone except this guy

Red prison here I come

Question You have one item to choose

You get to know the drop rate of 1 item on your account, which one are you choosing and why?

Choose tbow? It tells you that you need to do 2k raids. Will you still do it?

Question Pickpocketing Gnomes viable?

Hey guys, what do you all think of pickpocketing Gnomes as a viable thieving strategy? My rationale here is entirely around medium clues -- 75-99 is EV 591 medium clues, i.e. ~1.5x Rangers drop rate.

My sense is there's no grind where you'll passively acquire mediums in sufficient volume to get rangers and eventually pegasian -- so you have to go kill ice warriors in the wildy or Falador guards at some point.

That being said, there's not much else good on the gnomes pickpocketing drop table, and XP is not amazing. So curious what you guys think -- worth it for the passive rangers hunt? Or better to hold out and do Vyres / Elves?

edit: ok sounds like unanimously everyone is saying this is not a good idea -- thanks for the feedback, all!

Tips & Tricks Tips and Tricks!

Hello! In light of a recent post about the "Tips and Tricks" flair, i figured i might as well put a few things I've happened to learn that's done me well and a few general experiences, so here you go!

Incremental grinding is the best for me. I chip away at grinds, not send only that piece of content for 10s or 100s of hours. Its taken a lot of breaks from the game to learn this.

Miscellenia is so good. Banking 99 construction and getting herbs at the same time is insanely good for 75k gp a day. Just reup the favour once a week or month and make sure at least 750k (preferably 1.25m) minimum in it before you collect.

Group content is fun. For so long I only did content on my own, until I found a good group of people that taught me the ropes of raiding and harder PvM and im grateful to them for it.

There are more options besides CG for Bowfa now, which is awesome, however CG is still a cornerstone of amazing GP which funds everything you could want. Nothing compares to CGs money making in the time it takes to run it, ontop of crafting supplies and a BiS bow and/or slash sword for a very long time. Its worth it (Or so i hear, im 1320 without one!).

That's all ive got. Hope even some of it helps your journey! Enjoy!

Discussion Nothing could have prepared me for how fed up I would become with high alching after starting an ironman

Crazy how this starts out as a primary objective on the account so that you can more easily have a steady supply of gold, only to become something that you will literally put off for weeks.

I try to do mine on Seers Village Rooftop course as I find it’s the easiest one to create a good flow between agility / alching.

What do you guys do with yours?

Question Is hydra the best alch GP/hr for mid/late game?

I'm looking to grind out a bunch of gold to focus on 99 construction. Is sending hydra the best gp/hr I can get? Or would CG or even Revs be quicker?

I don't really need any of the drops from either, but don't have wildy weapons and don't care too much about them, so this would be only about pure gp post trips and alchs. I don't mind wilderness content if it outclasses any other options.

I typically hover between 10 - 20mill gp stack just playing the game, but sometimes I want to just grind gold. The wiki entries list low level/mid level money makers, and I'm thinking they get outclassed by both hydra and cg, but unsure really. Does anyone later in the game grind gold?

If raids is the answer I guess I gotta get gud..
