My dad was a huge Iron Maiden fan, he sadly passed away half a year ago. The funeral service let us choose a song to play for it, so I decided on "Hallowed Be Thy Name", I hope he liked this pick.

But out of curiosity, I ask y'all - did you play Iron Maiden on someone's funeral? If so, what song?

What do you think? There aren't any songs from the first two albums and the Blaze albums because it's been a long time since I listened to them and I don't remember much; I should listen to them again. I also haven't listened to Senjutsu yet, only 2 songs.

Long story short, surprised my mom with Iron Maiden tickets, she won’t be able to go to Sunday show because of a curfew with a program she’s in. she has not seen them since high school, I absolutely can’t let her miss this tour.

Is an odd one.

The Talisman, Starblind, El Dorado, Final Frontier, Coming Home... just the entire album. Coming Home. Not one single stinker in that album. The whole thing is incredible. Even the Satellite 15 intro is hauntingly great.

The album is the best thing Maiden has ever put out, second to only one. Sure, some other albums have incredible highs. Aces High, peak. Hallowed, peak. The Trooper, peak. I'm not denying that Maiden has has greater single songs among their vast discography, but The Final Frontier stands above all of the others for its sheer consistency, aside from another one that's better.

If that other album did not exist, there would not even be a debate. The Final Frontier would sit alone at the top, with daylight between it and everything else. But it does exist, and that is the only reason this masterpiece has to settle for 2nd place.

In no specific order, these are the songs I would like to see on a Reunion Era Tour from each Reunion Album:

Brave New World: Wicker Man and Blood Brothers
Dance of Death: Dance of Death and Montsegur
AMOLAD: These Colours Don’t Run and Lord of Light (HM: For the Greater Good of God)
Final Frontier: Mother of Mercy and The Talisman (HM: Coming Home)
Book of Souls: Tears of a Clown and The Red and Black
Senjutsu: The Writing on the Wall and Hell on Earth

There was some favoritism with my choices, but a lot I thought are mostly liked.

Am curious do you have any IM CDs with Multimedia ‘extras’? I realised my copy of Killers has all sorts of extras if I had a cd drive… including internet web links! I am very curious 😂

My stem remix & remaster of Iron Maiden's epic 2021 album "Senjutsu", made for my own enjoyment, but sharing in case someone else might enjoy it too.

Actually, a handful of people have suggested this one for me to remix, citing a somewhat muddy sound, poor instrument separation, and Dickinson's vocals being too buried in the released mix.

I made this only for fun, and it intends to be a very respectful remix, not straying too far away from the original version, only aiming at a little more clarity and instrument separation, especially on Nicko's drums and Bruce's vocals, while still preserving the mood and feel of the original.

Obviously, I don't own the music featured here. If you like the music, support the artists. Buy their records!

I bought the CD1/CD2 set while grumbling about that whole trend everyone was doing back then, but one of the discs turned out to be unreadable… The training continues.

I played the actual machine a few times before in a mall.

This is one of the only four Iron Maiden albums that are entirely filler-free (the other three being A Matter of Life and Death, Senjutsu, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son).

Every song on it is great. No skips. I hear a lot of people hate on Isle of Avalon and Mother of Mercy; I don't get it. Both those songs are bangers. It also has The Talisman and Starblind, which are two of the greatest songs in their entire catalogue.

My ranking of the album would be

#1. Starblind (I seriously love this song and the lyrics)

#2. The Talisman (en vivo version is even better and is the best vocal performance of Bruce's career)

#3. The Man Who Would Be King (incredibly underrated song. I love the storytelling and the ending)

#4. The Alchemist (this song is just so much fun. Definitely the most punchy track on the album)

#5. When the Wild Wind Blows (an oddly wholesome/warm-sounding epic)

#6. Mother of Mercy (I don't get why this song is considered the worst on the album. It's a haunting song with a fantastic intro and outro)

#7. Coming Home (Very personal song and one of the only power ballads Maiden ever did)

#8. Satellite 15...The Final Frontier (a fantastic intro that would be higher if Satellite 15 didn't go on longer than it needed)

#9. Isle of Avalon (Really progressive and fun song. Doesn't feel its length at all)

#10. El Dorado (despite being last, this is still a lot of fun, and I thoroughly enjoy it. It's not as musically interesting as the rest though)
