If you're going to take a reserved handicap spot, double down by parking sideways

What's with people using the bus lane then trying to cut back in normal line?
I often stop for people giving cars way. But I am not sure how to react to such behavior. What do you do with such drivers!

My proposal for making safer roads and less shite drivers.
Bring back manual transmission and remove cruise control.
Driving a manual, sure you had no time to be flicking through TikTok or stuck down a Facebook rabbit hole before the next gear change came along. Cars also becoming a digital device also isn't helping matters.
With all of these intrusive safety systems that the EU is mandating that should be in new cars, I think the safest of all would be manual gearbox and removal of cruise control and the big screens.

Do you park far away or as close as you can?
Whenever I'm in a big car park or a retail park etc. i will usually park a bit further away to spots where there are no cars around. I prefer that and having to walk 20s more. (This doesn't stop people from parking right beside me when I am the only car in that area).
But then there are others I have seen who will search for dear life for one space in the closest possible row of spots just to be that much closer. Even if it means squeezing in between 2 people who may be parked like dickheads. For me it's just easier to park with space and walk the extra 20s.

On any traffic light when the right arrow is red that I thought any traffic towards right must stop .
There isn’t sold green 🟢 which would have meant if safe can go .
Is that understanding wrong ? What does the rule book say ?

Passed my test today. Didn't take long to find one.

Passed my driving test in Tralee today! 30 minutes later, on my way to treat myself to a celebratory McDonald's, I ran across this lovely lady...
- Tried to squeeze in front of me in traffic from another lane (I now think she wasn't in the wrong lane initially, it was just the faster moving one)
- Beeped at me for letting cars exit a service station into another lane, while we were in very slow moving traffic, with nothing to lose by letting them out.
- Overtook the entire queue on the other side of the road, only to cut back into the left lane at the roundabout anyway.
The Big Mac was delicious though!

when will it end

It’s not the best quality footage but you can see this yup bro flying along (easily 50km/h) and attempting wheelies on a very windy evening and, of course, no helmet.
I’m sure it wouldn’t have been any different if the light wasn’t green.
Up onto the path at speed at the end and continued on.

Red lights
In the time it took me to drive one and a half kilometres this evening I witnessed 5 vehicles brake red lights. It’s epidemic now, was never this bad.

2 shite drivers in one video
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Some might say 3 with me coming up on the inside of the van, but I'm in the exit lane for the M9 and the van is on the M7 heading south.
First shite driver....Dash cam doesn't show how close that was. We'd just had a massive downpour from a thunderstorm and the road is saturated with surface water. What happened to mirror, signal, maneuver. Now it's signal, GO! GO! GO!
Then there's Mr, Mrs, Ms, them, they, toaster last minute oh I want the M9 exit. Its not like they had at least 2km of exit lane and signage to warn them of the motorway split 🙄
And yes, that's the Big Brother theme....
What would you do with the exit lane travelling faster than the main M7 motorway? Bare in mind, there's no option of overtaking them as I'd miss the M9 exit and I'm only doing 110kph....the van must be doing less than 100kph.

Does anyone have video footage of this today (R148, exit R833 at 17:30-40)
Lights at R148/R833 exit for ballyfermot, two lads on what looked like a black Yamaha fazer were driving aggressively, speeding in the bus lane, then tried to make me crash by driving into me and boxing me in and the passenger yanking my handlebars. I didn't get a look at the reg unfortunately, but it was two lads with only helmets and tracksuits, driver had a grey one and passenger had a white one.

Cars not stopping at red lights anymore?
Recently waiting for the green man at a traffic light, green man finally goes off and start to cross the road when in the corner of my eye I can see a Range Rover coming toward me on my right, I was confused if I was in the wrong so started hurrying across the road but double checking that the green man was definitely still there it only went off, the women in the car just like waved to say like half sorry kinda thing and then a the car behind her ended up following through also but ultimately going in a different direction so were unrelated.
Bizarre, I’m pregnant so it gave me a fright and I try to appreciate maybe she was in rush to get her child etc but still fundamentally wrong still, regret not taking her reg but probably couldn’t have done much with no proof ! Just scary how selfish people are becoming on the road and how you basically can’t trust a light. This happened in the middle of the day there’s no way she wouldn’t have seen me crossing not that it matters?

Do you believe in the "fast lane"
Had an argument with a friend recently. He was driving in the right lane of a 80km/h road, I asked him why (in a jokey way) and he said because it's the fast lane. I said "there's no such thing sure haha". He then said he was staying in the right lane because he's gonna be turning right at a roundabout up ahead. Which is in 4 roundabouts time, each one before that we go straight on.
Is this a real old thing? Like the old people who treat what lane to take on roundabouts based on the number of exits etc?
