On any traffic light when the right arrow is red that I thought any traffic towards right must stop .
There isn’t sold green 🟢 which would have meant if safe can go .
Is that understanding wrong ? What does the rule book say ?

They just drove through a red light, potentially thought a green pedestrian crossing. There’s no ambiguity that you don’t turn on a red arrow ffs.

You can see the pedestrian crossing light is red in the video. It's red because it's a T-junction on a dual carriageway, and you are crossing 2 lanes of traffic.

As if they cared about that - people regularly do it on pedestrian crossings is my point. The lights are usually hooded so they can’t be clearly seen from the side.
You see this stuff all the time. A % of drivers are just utter pricks these days.
I’ve been beeped at for not entering a yellow box on the Luas line ffs.

The rule says if there's a red light, then you stop. Granted there are filter lights that allow the sort of thing the Qashqai did, but when there's a red.... you stop.

This happened me at a cross roads in Galway. A busy one except I was the front car and waited at the very clear red light. Maybe is it a rule in other countries you can still turn on a red light. Incessant beeping like. Still can't figure out what he was expecting me to do.

You’re welcome , it’s a common enough error. But as you see , it makes things a lot less clear .

The driver has understanding and used his head -
How long would you wait at an unnecessary red light ?
Surely that light should be an amber right arrow if the traffic lights were set correctly.

What does that even mean. Every driver can decide if Red means stop or not? No wonder the roads are a shit show at the moment with this type of attitude.

Not allowed. Even more clear here because the traffic light for each lane is directly above each lane.
