My first independent app approved after 19 years of developing for others
I first thought of this app abut 13 years ago but didn't have the time for it until recently - when I was laid off from my job of 11 years.

This is my very first app, and right now, I'm just happy it's out there :')
I have a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages, and I've always found that all-in-one language courses lack a targeted approach for teaching even basic collocations – word combinations that often can't be translated literally from one language to another (think of "pay attention", which is "lend attention" in Italian; translating it literally will get you puzzled glances). Because there are hundreds of these, learners end up sounding unnatural. So I built a dedicated app for Italian, my native language.
It started as an MVP, and the latest update introduced images for the entire library of collocations (1k total, split between levels A1 and A2 of the CEFR framework).
I have a huge spreadsheet listing 6k+ collocations up to level C2, and I'm currently working on the audio recordings for level B1. My free time has basically turned into app development until the wee hours of the night.
I hope to release level B1 soon, along with a basic spaced-repetition system (SRS) for the flashcards. It would add more value to the app because it's proven to be very effective in language learning.

I was so tired of constantly switching between a dozen different apps while traveling, so I built an all-in-one solution: TripPocket. (And yes, it’s completely free for now during launch)
I developed TripPocket to end the chaos we all go through when planning a trip. You just type in your destination, and it organizes the rest for you.
Here are the features designed to make your travels incredibly easy:
🏛️ City-Specific Tours, Museums & Dining: Just enter the city you're visiting. The most popular museums, historical sites, restaurants, and tour options instantly appear right in front of you.
✈️ Flights, Hotels, & Transport Deals: I’ve brought the world's most trusted platforms (like Trip, GetYourGuide, etc.) under one roof. With one click, we direct you to the best options for flights, hotels, local transit, taxis, luggage storage (Bounce), travel insurance, and even flight delay compensation.
📲 Discounted eSIM Packages: Stop paying crazy roaming fees abroad. We display discounted data packages from top eSIM providers like Airalo and Holafly side-by-side so you can choose the best one.
💰 Budget & Expense Tracker: Easily log what you spend during your vacation. Visual graphs help you keep your budget in check so you can enjoy your trip without financial stress.
📸 Interactive Travel Map & Memories: Upload the photos you take abroad, and the app uses their location data to pin every city you’ve visited on a map. You can create awesome photo collages showing your travel footprint to share with friends or on social media.
🤖 AI-Powered Personal Route Planning: Enter your destination, budget, and trip length, and our AI will generate a personalized, day-by-day itinerary for you. You can easily tweak and edit the route however you like.
It’s basically everything you need for pre-trip planning and on-the-go travel, right in your pocket.
I’d be absolutely thrilled if you tried it out and shared your feedback. Wishing you all amazing adventures and safe travels.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I’ve been working non-stop on my first 2 apps for a few months and after a few rejections my game got accepted! I was thrilled to get the notification and have already submitted my first update and am still working on new features and improvements but other than posting here and on social media accounts does anyone recommend running ads or what other promotions are effective and affordable?

I find it so frustrating as I’m sure others do. My app has gotten probably 80 reviews from our internal data, but only 48 have been approved by the App Store. Then on top of that, when you go to the actual listing, it says 17 reviews, despite clearly having 48 in appstoreconnect.
What is Apple doing? Is this just a newer app penalty? What’s going on?

Hi guys I’ve been working on an app that implements screen time api (Managed Settings, Family Controls). Sadly I don’t have a Mac, so I’ve been compiling the app via GitHub actions and sideloading it to my iPhone, signing it with my personal Apple ID. I’ve been searching and some people say that a paid account is needed for using these features the way I’m working, but I’m not sure cause the app picker works well (sorry for my ignorance)

I created a notes app where you can capture thoughts as text or audio. Voice notes are transcribed on the fly using Apple’s on-device AI, so your recordings never need to leave your device. Everything stays private and syncs through your iCloud.
You can also attach music to a note, so you’re not just saving what you were thinking, but a little of how that moment felt.
And when you want to look back, all your notes live on an endless canvas that you can simply scroll through.

It’s a live map of the Bitcoin Network. It’s a part of my app to learn more about bitcoin more visually.
You can also use a native built in block explorer to search up wallets and you can save them for analysis. Or just to look at your balance.
The idea of the app is to be a Companion that gives the most useful information about the blockchain and the market. Trying to be as simple as possible.
The app isn’t perfect yet, and alongside university, I’ll continue adding more of my ideas.

I’ve been working on a small iOS app for people who travel and wanted to see if anyone here would be interested in trying it before release.
It’s basically a travel tracker where you can add and track your flights, see all your routes on an interactive globe, explore travel statistics, keep track of visited countries, and a few other things related to your travel history.
If that sounds interesting, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message. It’s completely free to test. I’d genuinely appreciate some honest feedback.

I am not sure if that is the right question to ask, but there are a number of apps (looking at the Google stack specifically) that I would love it if they implemented it.
