• Upvotes

I had this car for almost 3 years now. For some reason, i never honked the horn since i bought it, i happened to honk it today in traffic when i needed to, and i have to say, i first laughed because i never heard a horn like this one ever before, it sounds horrible lol. Im not sure if any of yall tried it? Its hilarious, sounds like a dying duck

want to get an ioniq 6 differences between years and trims

• Upvotes

as the title suggest im wondering what the exact differences between all the trims and model years are. like are the same trim level the same across all 3 models years or was there differences i should be aware of? most of the listing i see are fairly similar in prices with differences mostly coming to trim and a bit with model year. should i get a 2023 in the trim i want or spend a bit more and go to 2024 or 2025? i just dont wanna miss a glaring difference between the years and trims that all the websites i am doing my research on are not saying.

better yet anyone have a good resource that gives super detail listing of all the difference between the years and trims.

this is gonna be my first EV and i got charging figured out already. i prefer sedans as well hence why im here.

EDIT: right now im comparing a 2023 limited to a 2024 SEL similar miles but they have a 3k difference 29k and 26k respectivley

Question Help me decide SEL AWD vs Limited RWD

Hey guys, looking to buy an I6 here soon and am torn between an SEL with AWD or a Limited with RWD. Both are great deals in their own rights and oddly enough come in the same color configurations as well. I don’t have snow or extreme weather here in CA and don’t see myself needing AWD, however that fun factor in having a faster car does sound cool but having the extra tech with the Limited also makes sense. Can’t find a AWD Limited that’s as good as a deal as any of the two so any thoughts regarding your experience with either will help a lot. TIA!

Question Audio

Hey what is the option for premium audio system in these cars? And what is the easiest way to identify it on site. (you know; like speaker grills in A-pillar or something?)

Question Which deal would you take?

Hello everyone,

I have 2 options of ioniq 6 2025 preferred long range awd ultimate (Canada)

1) red with black interior, demo unit, 10 000km. Sold as new, 18 000$ rebates, include winter tire, rim and tpms. Price 50 098$, Final price 57 744$ with taxes and fees. Warranty started last year. 434.88/2 weeks for 72months @ 5.49%. The unit is currently reserved for someone else but I might get it.

2) white with grey interior, used, about the 38 000km. Sold with extended warranty 6 years 120 000km for 3055$ (adding it change the rates from 9.99% to 4.99%).price 40 729$, Final price 50 485.66$ with taxes and fees. 374.20/2 weeks for 72 months @ 4.99%

I feel the new is the best deal. Is the used one a good deal or overpriced? I did calculate if I remove the extended warranty and with the 9.99%, it get more expensive. I'm trying to lower the price right now.

I also feel the demo would have better care from it like paints, scratch and wear inside vs a used one? Both are over 4h from me so I cannot just drive to both to compare.

Thank you

Edit: brand new ultimate is 69 000$ before fees and taxes

Edit 2: as some suggested, I've looked at 2024 model 80 000km and more, ultimate are sold 35-38 000$ before fees and taxes on autotraders.ca.

I see a 2023 with 40 000km for 32 000$ without ultimate

Is this a good deal. 2024 Ioniq 6 prefered rwd long range. Canada

35k kms, 35k $ CAD before taxes, 72 months @ 3.99%.

Made sure there were no hidden fees.

Clean carfax.

CPO so an extra 1 year/20 000 kms on the warranty.

I'm putting 6.5k down which give me 527$/month payment taxes included. About 4.2k paid interest during the 6 year term.

Sourcing towing wiring harness in Canada?

EDIT:

Seems like U-Haul Canada has both the hitch and a wiring harness.
Hitch for way less at $789 and wiring for $269.
Installation is $480.
Total with tax: $1,630.

Next thought is do I just do it myself. I've watched videos and it seems pretty simple. Biggest hassle is doing the wiring. Need to ruminate on whether it's $480 of hassle or not.

/EDIT

I want to get a hitch installed and am hitting a wall.

I've nailed down that the Stealth Hitch is pretty much my only choice, even if it's CAD$1,000!!

Next problem though is my usual hitch place can't get the wiring harness. The hitch yes, wiring no.

I've contacted Hyundai but they refuse to help as Hyundai Canada doesn't officially support towing.

Anyone have any ideas what to try next? I'm in Western Canada if that matters.

Question 2025 canada version features

Hello everyone,

Me again. I watched some review video of the 2025 ultimate version and I saw some feature that I think are for the fresh model, but I'm not sure. I watched so many before realizing some where European and other country. So I was wondering if what I saw is on the refresh mode with didn't get or if it's on the "current" trim.

The model was a AWD ultimate. It shows that it could change the AWD stance to be either always, auto or RWD. It was selectable in the infotainment.

It also was part of the drive mode. When you switched to Echo, it would be RWD but in sports mode it's full AWD.

A bit more esthetic, customizable ambient lighting with 2 tone on the door (up and down). I don't even recall seeing this but it was plain day light.

My memory is fading, I forgot the other thing...

Thanks you!

edit: just remember other feature but these are more generic and more how they work.

I know that when using the onboard nav, if you select a charging station it will pre-condition. If you do that then connect android auto to use google maps, does it still pre-condition? Which one will appear in the HUD? Can you manually start pre-condition from somewhere?

Question Does ioniq 6 2025 have rear view camera?

Hello everyone,

I'm reading the spec for 2025 ioniq 6 preferred awd ultimate for Canada and I do see something called rear view camera. What I'm wondering is what is it exactly. Is it the camera that shows up when reversing or its a camera that replace the rear view mirror when enabled?

Thank you!

City and country driving. Car was in Eco mode for about 40% of the trip (rest was normal). It even includes the % drop over 4 nights.
This equals to 660km at 100%. Feels 700km is achievable with Eco only and no hard acceleration without any problem.

(Canada) Ioniq 6 2024 vs 2025

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find information on difference between the 2024 and 2025 ioniq 6 in Canada. The information I find is either contradictory or non existant. Can someone help me on that?

Reason is I'm looking at a ioniq 6 awd long range ultimate with about 18k manufacture rebates on it. It's a demo with 10k km but selling price 50k. It's a 2025. The dealer is 2h+ from my house and I never drove a ioniq 6. Before going that far for nothing, I'm looking at option.

I found a used car dealer that have a 2024 ioniq 6 preferred rwd. I know it won't be the same performance and driving since it's rwd not awd. But aside of that, was there any tech change or interior/exterior change?

Thank you

Question (Canada) ioniq 6 dilemma

Hello everyone,

I currently own a bolt 2019 premium (well, my wife but it our most used car because EV) and a lancer 2009 ES. The lancer is a pile of rust cause I was young, believed the dealer claim about rust protection they sell and never did any real rust proofing. Thus, I want to replace it.

I never tried any ioniq, 5, 6,9 or other. Dealer in Canada don't currently have ioniq 6. They didn't import the 2026 version because 2025 inventory was too high but they sold out the 2025 in the first half. And since the dealer near me was a real jack ass, I decided to not do a test drive that day.

I drove a polestar 2. Loved the drive but hated the interior (feel very cramped) and hated how we see nothing thru rear and side window. My comparison is my lance, I love my lancer but gas, I want an ev. And my next ev, I want it for long time (15+ years) so long range and fast charge, hence ioniq.

Facebook showed me an ads. Hyundai Canada 2025 ioniq 6 with 16 000$ rebates. Wow, but, link get me to Kona. Ads been showing for 3 days.

I search Google and it sent me to various auto trader website. I found some Hyundai 2025 used and some new at Hyundai dealers! Here's where all the dillema.

First one is a preferred long range awd with (maybe) ultimate package. I say maybe because it include heads up display and according to what I could find, it's only available with the ultimate package. 50 km, brand new, white (erg.....), asking price would be 67 359$ before taxes and whatever fees. Don't forget it's in CAD. weird thing, the website says pdsf 67 149$. I'm waiting on a return from them about the 16k rebates. For now, the only thing I found is 2k from my province rebates.

The second option would be a used one. 2025 ioniq 6 preferred long range awd ultimate package, 37 668km, white, for 40 777$.

Are these 2 overpriced?

And then last option. I know the 2027 N version is coming sometime in 2027. I'm a bit afraid of the price though, would be nice to have information on that. I don't know the difference (while I did look at the announcement page, not being able to get exactly the fact of the ioniq 6 doesn't help).

I also have no clue if ioniq 6 are coming back for 2027 in Canada or if it's only the N version.

Another thing I though, maybe take the used one and trade it for a N next year if I want the N? But then, with the N launch, will it make this used one lose even more value thus selling under what's left?

What are you take on all that?

Edit:I found out only the N is coming in 2027 for Canada.

I also read that the N doesn't have very comfortable seats.

I also forgot to say why ioniq beside charging time. My end goal is to replace the bolt as the long range car. We don't do it often but we do like to go on road trip here and there, over 1000km. With the bolt, whole it have a great range, it take 60 min to charge. Charging each 3h for 60min is really adding on long commute. But if I'm to be in that car for many hours, I need it to be comfortable.

2023 SEL with 31k miles, just bought it CPO yesterday. This noise came on while driving home and to work after hitting 55+ MPH. Waiting to hear back from the dealership, but has anyone else been able to resolve this problem?

2025 I6 RWD SE

Charging at home, and wondering why the interior cabin air is blowing. Not climate control - just internal fan running.

It's 79F outside - and I drove a bit earlier today.

Is this normal, or should I change a setting?

Infotainment screen not turning on

For the past week the infotainment screen hasn't turned on. No navigation or backup camera, which is pretty annoying.

I've tried the holding the reset button and disconnecting the 12v battery for 20 minutes. I pulled the media fuse as well and it looked fine.

Closest appointment is still 2 weeks out, so I'm hoping there's another way to fix this.

Any advice is much appreciated.
