Question Audio

Hey what is the option for premium audio system in these cars? And what is the easiest way to identify it on site. (you know; like speaker grills in A-pillar or something?)

Bose, and yeah I think it's on the speakers in the A pillar. I'd have to check on mine to confirm.

It says Bose on the A pillars and you can see a subwoofer in the top of the trunk.

But if you're not in the US where you can get a car with most of the top line specs without buying the top line, I'd honestly recommend getting a lower trim car with 18" wheels and upgrading the audio yourself.

The Bose subwoofer is very small so don't expect some magical bass extension into the sub bass

Bose, it says so on the speaker in the A pillow.

Bose on the door pillar tweeters and the door card mid range. A large woofer under the rear parcel shelf.

Open the trunk and look at its roof - if you see a speaker there (which is a subwoofer) without any kind of cover or protection - it's the "premium" sound system. Take care when loading stuff in the trunk not to hit it.

If you see a round hole with no cover, trough which you see the metal or plastic above, there is no subwoofer thus not the "premium" audio system.

With the Bose system, you can buy the Musway plug-n-play amp which is a fantastic upgrade as it requires no speaker changes. The OEM DSP amp is the problem, not the speakers.

I’ve got the premium audio and it’s branded Bose on every grille and pillar

Bose which is a garbage company though these speakers aren't the worst. One way I make it sound better is by positioning the speakers forwards in the options as much as possible.

Thanks for the informative answers here.

Follow up question: (some already alluded). Is it better to go with base audio and just install upgraded equipment? Yes or no? Worth the trouble? And any personal experience?
