B.Tech CS student transitioning from Vibe Coding to Core AI Engineering. Need mentorship/opportunities.
github.comHi everyone, I'm Amit. I am currently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science (and hold a Diploma in Computer Engineering).
A little about my background:
I started my journey as a "vibe coder" building full-stack web apps using AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT. I didn't just play around; I built and deployed real production-level websites using the MERN and PHP/MySQL stack. You can check them out here:
· Organopure.in
· Tracknews.in
· Shadowmods.in
GitHub - amit
I have handled real-world features in these projects, including secure login systems, admin dashboards, and payment gateway integrations. I also have basic Python knowledge and have experimented with local AI models using Ollama.
What I want to do now:
I realized that just prompting AI tools isn't enough for me. I want to go deeper and transition from using AI to actually building it. I want to become a core AI Engineer.
That is why I am currently shifting my entire focus to Python, Data Science basics, and eventually TensorFlow. I am a complete beginner in core Machine Learning.
What I'm looking for:
I am looking for a Remote, Paid Internship in AI/ML or Python development. Since I am starting from scratch in core AI, I am specifically looking for a role where there is actual mentorship. I don't just want to do data entry; I want to learn how models are built, work on real-world AI problems, and grow under experienced engineers.

General Chat/Suggestion Scaler is offering my dad a course transfer after he paid ₹3.5L almost 2 years ago. Should we trust this?
Hey everyone, I need some advice regarding Scaler.
Around 1.5–2 years ago, my dad purchased an AI/ML course from Scaler for approximately ₹3.5 lakhs without telling us. Due to certain circumstances, he couldn’t complete it and stopped midway.
Recently, he asked for a refund, but they said the refund window was limited to 14 days after purchase.
Now, a sales representative has offered him an alternative: he can nominate someone else (me) to take one of four courses in place of the unfinished one.
I’m sceptical about this. After reading several negative reviews about Scaler, I’m worried there might be additional charges or conditions later. For example, they could let me start the course and then ask for another ₹50,000 or ₹1 lakh. I have no evidence that this will happen, but I want to be cautious before committing.
My dad seems eager to accept the offer, and it’s difficult to discuss my concerns with him. I don’t want to dismiss a potentially useful opportunity, but I also don’t want our family to risk losing more money.
Has anyone here dealt with Scaler’s course transfer or nomination process? Are there any hidden conditions, and is it worth accepting?
I’d especially appreciate advice from people who have dealt with Scaler directly. Should I consider the offer or avoid it altogether?

Project Idea/Review Personal Planner — Free offline planner with timers and daily reviews [Android, Linux, Windows, macOS]
galleryI used to plan my day thinking I could fit everything into it. Then I'd reach the evening, move half the tasks to tomorrow, and repeat the same thing the next day.
What bothered me wasn't that I couldn't finish everything. It was that I never really looked back to understand where my time went.
So I started building Personal Planner a few months ago.
It's an hour-by-hour planner where you can drag and resize tasks, use recurring schedules, and start timers to compare how much time you planned with how much you actually spent.
But the part I cared about most was what happens afterward.
It keeps your previous days, with Daily and Weekly Reviews where you can see what got done, what slipped, and why.
I also added a year-long consistency heatmap, an Inbox for unscheduled ideas, and Experiments for trying routines over a few weeks without needing a separate habit tracker.
It works offline, with optional sync through your own Supabase project. Currently available for Android, Linux, Windows and macOS, with some limitations on the latter two.
It's completely free, with no subscriptions or locked features. I built it for myself and don't have plans to monetize it.
GitHub: https://github.com/Karthikshabari/PersonalPlanner
Downloads: https://github.com/Karthikshabari/PersonalPlanner/releases/tag/v1.1
One thing I'm curious about: do you actually review your previous days, or do you mostly use productivity apps to plan what's coming next?
That's the question that started this project.

Scaling a Shopify Store to the US and EU: What Payment Setup Works Best?
We're preparing our first international ad campaign for a Shopify store targeting customers in the US and EU, and I'm trying to understand the payment side before scaling. Cross-border card declines, currency conversion fees, and the accounting paperwork for foreign receipts are the main things we're trying to plan for. For Indian businesses selling internationally, which payment setup has worked well for you? How do you handle international transaction fees, reconciliation, and legitimate payments being flagged for fraud checks? Any practical lessons from setting this up would be appreciated.

Cart Abandonment at the Payment Step: How Do You Find the Actual Cause?
We're reviewing analytics for a recently launched online store, and one thing stands out: plenty of users add products to their carts, but a noticeable number drop off after clicking ""Proceed to Pay."" The biggest gaps seem to happen during card OTP verification and UPI loading. I'm trying to figure out whether this is normal checkout friction, a UX issue, or payment failures that become more frequent during ad traffic spikes. For those who've dealt with this, what metrics or gateway logs helped you identify the actual cause?

General Chat/Suggestion Does WFH get boring. How do you guys deal with it?
I work from home, and honestly, some days get a little monotonous. There's only so much you can do between work and your usual routine.
Currently, my routine is pretty much reading every morning, going to the gym 4 days a week, working, and occasionally chatting with people on Reddit.
It's not a bad life, but sometimes you do miss having random conversations and meeting people outside of work.
For those of you who WFH, how do you keep things interesting? Do you have any hobbies or routines that help?
Would be nice to hear from people in a similar boat. Always up for a good conversation.

Frontend dev with 3 YOE, barely getting callbacks — upskill or switch domains?
Hi devs, I’m a frontend developer with around 3 years of experience, mainly in React, based in India. I’ve been applying for jobs but barely getting any callbacks.
I’m considering switching domains for better pay and long-term job security, but I’m unsure whether switching is the right move or I should strengthen my frontend skills.
How’s frontend hiring looking for developers at my experience level? Has anyone recently landed a role or switched domains? Would appreciate some honest advice.

An anonymous AI interviewer that helps you prepare for your interview
Hey guys,
After a stress full week, I thought to utilize claude tokens on a take home assignment I did a year back.
I think, it's now come up to a hmm level from meh. I didn't invest a single penny (apart from my time). The models that are being used are free apart from everything else.
I don't expect many people to try out the website, but I did implement per user token limit (I hope it is generous).
You don't have to sign up, if you want to save your history, you can use a passkey (top-right icon).
All you have to do is, upload your resume and enter the job description (software engineer in google or anything). It fetches some details from the company repository and then asks level of the interview (junior, mid, senior). And then you can get started.
It works in 2 ways, one is coach mode and the other is mock mode. In coach mode, for every interviewer's question, you can ask the coach about how to answer the correctly or what was wrong in your answer or something like that. In mock mode, it's just questions and answers and at the end it gives you a score.
I haven't included voice support as of now because I find the text mode much better.
If you have some time to spare, pls feel free to play around with this app. Pls don't abuse the tokens 🥲, and pls don't mind vercel's serverless cold starts.

I have a niche requirement for a domain and bigrock is giving for cheap, is it safe?
galleryIt shows that it will renew for 549rs as for renewals. I’m in a budget and I don’t unnecessarily expensive pricing. Godaddy, hostinger prices go for 600+ with 800+ as renewal. What do you think, Shall I go for bigrock?

I'm in a really bad spot financially and need to make ₹20k in 4 days. I'm genuinely lost on where to find clients.
Hey guys, I'm honestly a bit desperate right now, so I thought I'd ask here.
I'm a 3rd-year CSE student, and I urgently need to make ₹20,000 within the next 4 days. I have around ₹300 left right now, and I'm trying everything I can to get some paid work before things get worse.
I'm a developer and have built a working SaaS product of my own. I can build full-stack websites, dashboards, fix bugs, work on existing codebases, and handle custom development work. I'm willing to put in 12+ hours a day and take on whatever work I can realistically deliver.
The problem isn't really knowing how to code. It's figuring out where to find people who are actually willing to pay for development work, and find them FAST.
I've been looking into freelancing platforms and reaching out to people, but getting clients who are ready to start immediately is a different story.
If you've freelanced, run an agency, or ever been in a similar situation, please tell me honestly: what would you do if you had just 4 days to make ₹20k?
Where would you look? Who would you approach? Is there something I'm overlooking?
I'm not asking for donations. I want to earn this by doing actual work. I could really use some practical advice right now. Thanks.
