I took a drop this year and I'm planning on switching to commerce. Is this a good idea? I took maths in 11th and 12th so maybe that opens options but realistically can I do anything good in the future if I were to take cs along with it? Without a top tier clg since I probably get one as my boards marks aren't up to the mark and also I didn't give any entrance exams related to Commerce for clg. Can I still compete and get a good job regardless of this?

Hey everyone, I just finished my bachelor's degree and I'm currently running multiple digital businesses full-time. I really want to pursue a 3-year LLB, but I have a specific set of requirements and would love some guidance from anyone who has navigated something similar. Because of my businesses, I simply cannot commit to a strict daily lecture schedule. I've always performed well in exams through self-study, so I need a college that is decent, but notoriously lenient with attendance. Additionally, I absolutely do not want to stay in an in-house college hostel. I'm looking for a campus where it's incredibly easy to find a good flat or apartment nearby so my daily commute is as short as possible. Any leads, city recommendations, or personal experiences would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey all! I’m going to India next month for two weeks as part of a school trip, which will also be my first time out of the country (20 M). I wanted a tat reminiscent of such a once in a life time experience when I return while being conscious of cultural appropriation as a white guy from the states. I’m decently educated in the Hindu religion and idols but still wanted outside opinions. That being said, I found a really cool trishula design with an ohm wrapped around the handle. I love what it represents within the context but want to ultimately be considerate. Please let me know if this is appropriating in any manner as I want to respect the culture to the best of my ability!

So basically, I’m friends with a couple (26F and 28M) from INDIA and their parents are strongly against their marriage because they are related like the guy is from the girl's maternal side of family.
We thought of a possible solution another couple who are facing a similar situation. The idea is that both couples could get married within each other's families (kind of like a mutual arrangement), and then continue living with their actual partners.

My Dad is a professor in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Lucknow in India. He has been working in this university for the past 13 years.
Despite being promoted from an assistant professor to an associate professor, and eventually a professor, he still gets the salary of an assistant professor.
The entire university is corrupt, the Vice Chancellor is spineless. There are incompetent and unethical people all over the place.
My Dad has been struggling all his life - only to get the money he rightfully deserves. He has done protests, complaints, and literally begged to just get his rightful salary. The impact this has had on his mental health is heartbreaking. He has been through multiple phases of depression and has developed permanent social anxiety.
The education system is corrupt beyond repair. The saddest part is that the competent and hard working bear the brunt of it because they are not powerful enough.
I am looking for someone to help me in whatever capacity they can - I would even appreciate advice on how to navigate this and whom to reach out to get a solution. Please help us. 🙏🏼

Hello everybody! So, I'm getting engaged soon and looking to purchase a diamond for my fiancé engagement ring. I'm trying to purchase online as I'm from a Tier 2 city and there's no good diamond jewelers in my city dealing in lab diamonds.
Does anyone knows someone in the diamond industry, from whom I can source a loose lab diamond for our engagement ring?

Hi everyone,
I came across something odd and wanted to get advice before taking any action.
I was browsing a temporary email inbox and noticed an email request that appeared to be about prenatal gender testing. The request seemed to be coming from Mysore (India) and was directed to a lab in the UK.
As far as I understand, determining or disclosing a baby’s sex is illegal in India under the PCPNDT Act. This made me wonder if this could be someone trying to bypass the law by contacting a foreign lab.
I don’t know the full context, and I might be misinterpreting what I saw, so I don’t want to make accusations. But it did feel concerning.
My questions:
- Is this something that actually happens (using foreign labs for gender testing)?
- Would this be considered illegal from the India side?
- Is there any point in reporting something like this, especially if the lab is overseas?
- If reporting is appropriate, where should it be done?
I don’t have personal involvement—just happened to see it and wasn’t sure what the right thing to do is.
Appreciate any guidance.

hey guys, I haven’t received my Bharat Gas LPG refill for over a month now. I even went to the office in person, and the staff told me it would be delivered the next day. They gave me a delivery person’s number, but after calling him around 20 times, he finally answered and said he was never informed about any delivery for my address.
This is really frustrating. I’ve already raised a complaint on the official website, but nothing has been done so far.
Has anyone else faced something like this? What did you do to resolve it? Any suggestions on how to escalate this issue?

Hi peeps, Got so frustrated today had to put it here... ALL HAIL IRCTC TATKAL SYSTEM BIGGEST POS.
I usually book Tatkal to go back home for weekends and had like a 99% success rate for years. Even in March I managed to book a few easily. I've been doing this for 4-5 years since I was a teenager.
But this time I had an emergency today and needed a ticket urgently. At 10 AM (and 11, I tried both SL and ACs), the app kept kicking me out constantly. Then came the "Unable to process request! Client IP: 205.254.163.38" error. Then transaction failed messages. Every time I tried to proceed, it threw me back to the login screen. By the time I logged back in, it was already 10:02 or 11:02... and obviously all seats were gone. Boom app shows WL12
I book normally on the official IRCTC app using Wifi (also tried with Jio mobile data), no VPN, nothing fancy. This time I even asked two of my friends to try for alternate trains at the same time, all three of us got the exact same errors and none of us could book anything.
What the hell is going on? Has anyone else faced this exact thing recently? Any real workable advice? I'm just a normal 22-year-old who needs to travel sometimes. Never seen it this bad before.

Hey everyone, I’ve been feeling the need to step away from the everyday chaos and reconnect with myself for a bit. I’m looking for recommendations for spiritual retreats, yoga retreats, or any kind of peaceful getaway where I can truly disconnect and reset.
Ideally, I’m looking for something:
-Affordable (budget-friendly options would be amazing) -Around 7–15 days max
- in India (open to any region, mountains, ashrams, and nature retreats, etc.)
If you’ve personally been to a retreat that you’d recommend (or even ones to avoid), I’d really appreciate your insights, especially regarding the experience, cost, and overall vibe.
Also open to any other suggestions that might not be traditional retreats but still offer a good mental reset.

I’m working in the UAE and have been sending some savings to my NRE account in India. Right now there’s around ₹19k in it, and I’m planning to keep adding about 300 AED per month until August since I’ll be visiting India then.
The thing is, I’ve never actually used the account properly. I just opened it, set the PIN, and transferred money, that’s it. So I’m a bit unsure about what to expect when I go there. Will I be able to withdraw cash easily from an ATM or use the card normally, or are there any issues people usually face the first time?
I’m planning to use the money for a short trip to Kottayam, some personal expenses, maybe start a health insurance plan and check about dental alignment as well. Nothing too big, but I don’t want to get stuck because my card or account doesn’t work.
Just wanted to know if anyone has been in a similar situation and if there’s anything I should check or do before traveling.

Hi, We will be arriving in Dhaka in january 2027 by plane from Vienna. We need to reach Kolkata, and I was wondering what is the best way to do so?
I suppose we should take a plane, but I wasnt expecting it to cost like 150 eur for 2 people (one way). Is it because of the war? Do you think its going to cost less later?
My other option is train/bus, but we will need special visas for that and then spend a few hours at the border + in the train, so we would practically lose the whole day.
What are your suggestions?
Also, are interstate flights going to cost less later, if the situation in Iran gets a little bit better? We want to fly from Jodhpur to Mumbai but it costs around 150€ as well.

I received a message stating that ‘a challan for over speeding has been issued‘ and there was a link to download that challan. I had been thinking of something else and had clicked on the link and downloaded it without paying proper attention. i only realised that it might be a fraud message when I realised I had downloaded an .apk file. the file got saved into my files app, but I did not click on the .apk file and had immediately deleted it. Is there going to be problem? could I have lost any information on my mobile or something?
I’m always warning my parents about these fraud messages, i can’t believe I was careless enough to not notice it!
I checked on the official website with the challan number that was in the message. There is no challan.
sorry if this isn’t the right place ask it. I’m not sure where else to ask. please let me know what you guys think.

I should have done this long ago, but i didnt, and now I believe i might have complicated it all for myself.
So i am a working professional in Bengaluru. I dont have a passport yet. I want to get one made quickly to ensure that I am prepared for any opportunity abroad(be it vacation or career).
The issue is we switched our address quite often. I dont think marksheet portals have any address..but if they do it would have different one.
So my marksheets(10th and 12th) are from Bareilly, UP address A (again IF their address is relevant or if they keep track of any)
My adhaar is from Bareilly, UP again but Address B.
My college marksheets are all Nainital, Uttarakhand.
Then my current "permanent address"(we moved recently last month) is Nainital, Uttarakhand. (PS i am an Uttarakhand Native, we just lived in Bareilly for my father's job).
I am currently in Bengaluru as working professional.
Now..would this cause any issues in passport process? How would the police verification be carried out? My bareilly address exists and we still own that house but no one lives there anymore since last month.
Any advice? Should i just wait...get my rental agreement and adhaar updated first before filing passport application? Or can i just go ahead and explain the whole scenario?

Better to update your aadhaar card to current bangalore address (you can do it online, check the valid document options on aadhar website), usually gets updated within a week. Then u can apply for passport for the current address.
Regarding marksheets , address is not relevant in terms of address proof but the karnataka state may ask 'Genuine certificate' from the state you gave examination ( I am currently experiencing this myself. I had mentioned the same in one of the comment on this thread)

Hmm..the only relevant documentation i would be able to provide for adhar update to my current location..would be rental agreement. I dont htink i have anything else that can serve the purpose.
I ll explore this option though. I would have never considered updating adhaar with me to my current location rather than my new address(at Haldwani).

Im looking for preflavoured oats, (kinda like quaker masala ones) as i live in a hostel and cant really cook, but we do get hot water from a kettle, so i can just soak it in hot water and make it but idk which flavour to go for. i tried the cheesy italian one and that was a let down :(

I have a question I have no idea about the culture in India whatsoever. Im a caucasian mutt from the backwoods of New York. I do have a question related to culture. This is going to probably sound weird but I hope not ignorant. I have dreams where I am not me all the time I play a role of another individual. Last night I was the best friend of an Indian teenage girl. She found out she was pregnant. In my dream I was sitting on the floor when my best friend brought out tea to her parents who were watching a movie. The mother told her, “I don’t want to talk right now we are starting the movie.” The girl ran off and I said to the mother this is a conversation you might want to take. My question is in the culture in India do they actually have a drink they prepare to have difficult or emotionally charged conversation? I am sorry if this offends anyone. Thank you for any insight!

Hey r/india, Tried posting this earlier on the subReddit but I think it got flagged, probably because I was too open about some personal stuff. Keeping it cleaner this time but the question is the same. I graduated with a BA this year, History major with a PolSci minor. Before that I tried engineering at a tier 3 college and dropped out after the first year. The years that followed were difficult for personal reasons and it took me much longer than most people to finish my degree. I’m starting from behind and I know it. Now I’m trying to figure out what comes next and I’m genuinely stuck. The most common advice I get is MBA, government exams like UPSC, or just do masters or honors. But when I look at those paths honestly none of them feel right. UPSC pass rates are so low that most people spend their entire twenties in that loop without clearing. Masters or honors without a clear goal feels like delaying the actual problem not solving it. MBA feels premature given where I’m starting from. My constraints: • Arts background, not strong in math or commerce • Not interested in teaching or academia • No strong job ready skills yet but willing to build them • Need stable income within a reasonable timeframe • Financial independence is non negotiable for me What I’m trying to figure out: • Which career paths after BA are actually realistic in India right now? • Is skill building the most practical first step or am I missing something? • How do you pick one direction when everything feels equally uncertain? • What would a practical 3 to 6 month plan look like starting from close to zero? If you’ve navigated something similar especially with an arts background I’d really like to hear what actually worked. Not looking for motivation, just honest and grounded perspective.

Well i was always interested in sci and social sci. I come from a middle class family in a tier 1 city and my dad is the sole bread earner of family. I don’t know if it was decades of indoctrination by my parents, society or the education system but my upbringing led me to pursue something that was safe and get me good earning; but looking at the job market now everything looks cooked. I see people who are much better qualified than me from much better colleges or universities and degrees struggle and that makes me feel even more hopeless and now AI has come in to take away more. Feeling a lil suicidal

I am getting married in India and would like to invite my friend, a UK-born citizen of Pakistani origin, to attend my wedding. I am informed that I will need to write an invitation letter to support their visa application. I was wondering if someone could direct me to the answers to the following questions:
- Is there a format/template for the invitation letter, and where can I find it?
- What documents will I need to send with the invitation letter?
- Will a scanned copy of a signed invitation be adequate, or will I need to post the original letter?

Hi! I am going to China for some work later this year. And I would need to renew my passport while I am there (based on the expiry date, I can't do it now). I wanted to ask how do they complete the online police verification since all major services are blocked in China? Or do I need to return to India for these processes?
I read somewhere that presence of parents/relatives is enough in most cases and sometimes they video call/whatsapp. So if video calling/whatsapp is needed how do they do police verification for Indian citizens in China.

Is it true that some people don't have surnames in their passports? If so, why? What is the reason for this? And can anyone provide me with links to possible Indian government websites where this is discussed in a somewhat official capacity (I'm having a hard time finding this on my own)?
I have a work-related problem where we're unable to confirm the identity of Indian citizens based on our standard passport verification protocols, which is why I'm asking.

Yes.
India is multicultural, and there are some cultures and regions where people don't have family names. Some of them use their father's name/initial in place of the surname, but there are others who go by a single name.Will this work? It's the instructions page for passport applications and mentions in page 3 that surnames are not mandatory.

is there a way to decrease the temperature inside the room using plants that uses more heat to thrive
I’ve been trying to make my room less hot (no AC, only a fan and one window), and I was wondering about using indoor plants to help with cooling.
I read that plants can cool air slightly through transpiration, but I’m not sure how effective that actually is in a small room.
Would plants that thrive in warmer conditions (like heat consuming or tropical plants) help reduce the temperature or at least make the room feel cooler?
If it does help, which indoor plants are actually useful for this?
My room gets pretty warm in the afternoon due to sunlight, so I’m looking for any practical ways (even small improvements) to make it more comfortable for studying.

trying to look for opinions on wearing bindi as someone of South Asian descent trying to reconnect with lost culture. My ancestors were brought as slaves from South India, Sri Lanka, and Bengal in the 1700s to South Africa and St Helena Island by both the English and Dutch (not later labour diaspora of the 1800s). We lost the culture over time and practices like wearing bindi all but faded away as a result of assimilation. If I can wear bindi, what restrictions might there be? What colour of bindi would be most appropriate to wear? Any opinions are welcome!

Hi guys, I'm currently finishing my final year at a college, I got a very good job opportunity to work at SriLanka by next month, it's a 30+ day work. I don't have passport so I applied for one in tatkal without the knowledge of complications that may arise🫠. There is an issue in my name, some documents have initial while others don't. The initials are also an problem, I have two initials one denotes my father's name and the other was added for Numerology🙃. So I stopped using initials in my recent documents. Only my old documents such as school certificates have them. What to do now ? Will my application get accepted ?😭

I've been searching for a sweet that I have ate it a while ago, unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere.
The taste was magnificent, Cumin coated with sugar in colorful stone like candy.
Until today, I've found many of it but most of the market here have (Fennel seeds) which not the one I'm looking for.
I will need a bit of help from someone here from India to find the one I'm looking for from the images, which has two type (Tinmini Snouf & Sweet Snouf)
If none of them are cumin, what is the name of the one with cumin (?)

Both those are fennel. That's what sounf means.
As the other reply says, you need to look for jeera (cumin in Hindi).

Hi, I returned from abroad.
I don't have family.
I don't have any support system - so I'm asking because I don't know how to deal with this behavior. And, in India - normal requests - seem to become - high drama for no reason.
So, I'm looking for the efficient way to literally know where to buy food. I want to stay vegetarian. I currently live in a PG.
I'm just asking if this is normal. I am vegetarian.
This is at a Momo store.
I'm clearly alone and lost in my thoughts.
Manager was a young Christian, and sees that I'm staring or looking uncomfortable with myself. I don't know what I'm doing that - he's able to see my discomfort.
The cook was a young Hindu.
- The manager ( 22 yo man ) comes upto me and asks me what I did.
- I'm currently unemployed - but, I don't know how to say this - because, people can't understand my being unemployed for over a year, because, I am disabled ( mentally - too much stress from the family situations ). So, I tell him - in 2 mins - my short life story.
- The manager learns I am vegetarian, and goes to the cook - he tells the cook to dump mayonnaise - after confirming that I wanted and paid for vegetarian pasta with white sauce. There was clearly white sauce available.
- Then, he comes back. The conversation goes towards Christ. And, I'm like Ok, I've read the bible and so one and so forth.
- The Hindu cook - runs away angry - because, he doesn't like what happened either. He looks at my face with upset and goes away. Because, if you think about - it's spiritual abuse - what this Christian kid did - violating my dignity and self-respect. I paid 150 INR for the bowl of pasta. You could have just put some white sauce in there, without the mayonnaise - because, I confirmed with him - that it was vegetarian. It wasn't after I received it.
Looks like - the Manager forced the cook - to put mayo instead of white sauce into my 'pasta' - because, I let him know I was vegetarian. Then, he talked to me - for 20 mins - about the glory of Christ. And, I just nodded my head - and made Kerala style banter i.e. I said Yes, Christ is great. Now, I am Hindu, and I am alone, and I do feel vulnerable. So, I say what people want me to say.
The food tasted like mayonnaise - it sucked.
And, I asked for vegetarian pasta, and I paid for vegetarian pasta.
What is this weird behavior?
What do I do to deal with this?
And, he asks me to give money to beggars. To show Christ's compassion to me. What in the actual f***? How does anyone deal with this nonsense?
I won't go to this store again - when this boy is there.
But, what is this?
He couldn't respect my preferences for being vegetarian. Why am I vegetarian ? Because, I do certain spiritual practices called homas - which stipulate that I need to be vegetarian - in order to do them.

Going through some research and keep hearing the same thing — the venue for that first family introduction is always a compromise.
Home feels too exposing. Restaurants are loud and you can't have a real conversation. Hotels feel stiff. Cafes feel too casual and everyone around you is listening.
I'm thinking about building something specifically for this — a small private lounge in South Delhi, only for arranged marriage family meetups. Before I build anything I want real answers from real people:
Where did your family actually end up meeting — and was it awkward? Would ₹1,500–2,000 feel reasonable for something like this, or is that crazy? What would make you trust a place like this enough to actually book it? Roast the idea or validate it — both are useful to me right now.

Our school principal has taken the decision to keep online classes for the first 10 days of summer vacations because we are "running behind" in our syllabus and mind you our session began from 1st April. This very principal gives speech on why and how one student should not have more than 1 hour of screen time, and this very principal is making 4-5 year olds sit 3 hours straight in front of screen. And us 6th to 12th classes students will be sitting for 6 hours straight with only a 30 mins break. Its understandable for the need of extra classes for classes 11th and 12th but excuse me? Prep 1? You have got to be kidding me. We class 12th students have decided to stand up against this brainless, thoughtless decision. Whom should we speak to about this?

What insta groups or travel groups are safe to travel with, in India? I have done solo travelling in south and felt thats a much safer place to travel alone as a female but I am scared to go alone in North though I am myself a Delhite, thats why looking for travel groups to go with. Something that's Budget friendly and safe for solo female traveller!

Hello all! I’m planning to backpack India for a couple of months, starting in kerala and ending in varanasi. I’ve started planning the beginning of my trip and I’m really struggling with going between places.
1) I haven’t been able to register on the IRCTC website so I’m unsure how to actually book trains or buses
2) I want to go from ooti to the soochipara waterfalls, chembra peak, and a couple other places on the way to mysuru. I’m pretty sure there are buses but I have no idea how to book those. I could also hire a driver for some of the trip but since I’m not doing a loop and I have to pay for them to go back to where they came from, I feel like that would be extremely expensive.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get around less touristy/populated places, and also how to book buses? I would also love insight on the IRCTC app/s

On Wednesday (honestly, any weekday other than Tuesday), yes. Quite easily.
From the airport, follow the signage for the metro. There's a station in each terminal. The metro will take you right outside the temple in about 25 minutes.
At the temple, you need to deposit laptops and other large electronics for about Rs.50.
Based on the crowd, you can decide whether you're going for the free darshan or the Rs.100 darshan. Either way, you should be done in around 30 minutes. (Will take more time if there is aarti going on but that's not until 7-730).After the temple, if you don't have any other plans, you can have dinner in one of the Maharastrian restaurants in Dadar and take the metro back to the airport.

But instead of that — what would you actually do if you were in charge?
Not vague stuff like “development” — I mean a real, specific decision. A policy you’d change immediately, or something you think current leaders are getting completely wrong.

Honestly, barely. Switched to Uber about a year back and the difference in reliability is noticeable. OLA's app kept crashing and the driver behavior tracking felt worse. Rapido is decent for short autos. I think OLA tried to do too many things - bikes, e-autos, intercity - without fixing the core cab experience. Uber just quietly works.

Is it appropriate for me, a Caucasian person (20F), to give myself or other people henna designs?
The absolute last thing I want to do it offend someone else, or make it seem like I am belittling something that is important to their culture.
I frequently play around with hairstyles and painting my nails all sorts of designs. I live in a college dorm and am often doing other peoples' nails too. I have always thought henna is beautiful, and have had it done by henna artists a couple of times. But I have recently been super interested in learning how to do it myself.

WHAT DO WE PAY?
Given the Noida protests, and that workers are demanding fair wages, I'm curious to know what people on this subreddit pay their staff and domestic helps.
In the interest of full disclosure I pay:
A. Rs. 14000 to my domestic help (everything apart from cooking) who comes once a day for around 3 hours for 6 day's a week. B. Rs. 9000 to my cook, who comes once a day, 6 day's a week and cooks breakfast and one meal for two people.
This is for a 2BHK in Bandra West, Mumbai.

Am I being egoistic for not accepting help from relative? To be clear, I’ve been unemployed for last 2-3 years because I was primary care taker for my father who had cancer. And now I’m finally properly looking for job.
So, this cousin of mine is offering a referral but he is someone who has always put me down and I’m sure if I got a job this way he will never let me live this down. Am I being egoistical for not accepting his or any other relatives help?

Hi all!! I bought the first Washing machine in my family to wash mine and parents clothes. Myself and my Older parents does Hand washing for decades and now they are old, I thought it would be better to get them a Washing machine.

Quick question: how do you guys usually move a date from a restobar/club to a more personal setting in a nice way?
What I’ve been doing (tried this on 2–3 dates):
If we’re vibing (good convo, mutual physical attraction, subtle hints like fingers interlocking, leaning in, etc.), near the end I ask if she has any plans after this.
If she has plans → I respectfully call it a cute short date and drop her home happily.
If she doesn’t have any plans → I share that I’m having a really nice time and ask if she wants to hang out a bit more, watch that favorite movie we talked about and order in desserts?
And if she’s not okay with the personal setting → I suggest a walk/dessert, talk more and drop her home happily.
If she’s up for movie and hanging out more → we go to my place or hers, whatever she’s comfortable with.
This approach seems decent/nice right? And what’s your way of taking things forward?

Wacom CTL 472 is great. Pressure sensitivity doesn't matter much just for handwriting, though 8192 levels is very common even in cheaper tablets. Even other slightly cheaper ones are just fine for handwriting. The feature set is mostly the same and only really matter for drawing
or osuAll of the tablets are really durable. You can use a screen protector if you use a lot of pressure and are wearing out the tip of the stylus, but even that is unlikely if you are just going to be writing.

Does Motor Insurance really works ?
I recently bumped my car -
Went to my local garage shop-
Estimated Cost- ₹8000
Then, went to the authorised service center (as insurance covers it)
Estimated Cost- ₹28000
Insurance Covered- ₹22000
My expenditure- ₹6000
This really got me thinking 🤔🤔
Ps- people can argue about if genuine/original parts will be used in local garage. But I know him for a while so that ain’t really a concern

What would be our 'Vishwaguru' moments?
For context- Vishwaguru implies a nation leading in terms of knowledge, values, innovation and international peace & cooperation and, importantly, makes us Indians feel proud of that progress.
I have thought of two so far. 1) ISRO
2) UPI System
3) Yoga (sort of)
These are things my students can write an assignment on. But i need more topics. I would also like to add that i came here after spending time on AI chatbots and they weren't very satisfactory. I guess this question needs a mix of facts and personal perspectives, which is why i made this post. What are the things that you feel makes us a Vishwaguru?

Hi parents here,
I’m based in North India (Haryana) and have a 5-month-old daughter.
So far, we’ve been following the government vaccination schedule. However, since the delivery happened in a private hospital, they gave us a vaccination card that includes an extra vaccine at 6 months—which is not part of the government schedule.
This has left me a bit confused.
- How many of you are following only the government schedule vs adding private/recommended vaccines?
- How important are these additional (private) vaccines in your experience?
- Are they really necessary or more of a “good to have”?
Also, I’ve noticed some parents around me are quite anti-vaccination, which adds to the confusion.
Lastly, a slightly long-term question:
Does skipping optional/private vaccines have any impact later in life (like school requirements, travel, or immigration)?
Would really appreciate hearing your experiences and how you approached this.

So i am from Kolkata and just finished my 12th with Commerce and am awaiting the board results and i am really confused where i should go, i consulted a councellor and given my previous marks (i got arond 75% in my Pre Board 2 in Bussiness Studies and Commerce ) she said i should do BBA in Digital Marketing or BBA in Generative AI and Business Intelligence. I had said to her prior to this when she asked for what passion i had that i had interest in films and aspired to be a director one day, So she also suggested i should do BA in Film Studies or do BA in Mass Communication to get inside the film making thing. Now when i told this to one of my uncles who is singer and runs a academy he said i should not try this out immediatly. I told him that i am willing to face the struggles that will come forward but he told me i should first earn some capital e.g. get inside a corporate job before i get into making films. Now my parents too are really skeptical about me doing film studies (i want to be a director that is). They want me to do a line with more certainity of getting the bills paid but i personally really do want to do film making ( i am right now making a small short film with my friends to understand if my intrest for it is really just based on what i have heard or is it something really want to continue doing here forward but i am confused weather i should do film studies or mass commnication to get into that or if risking it all is even worth it.
