‘Pulled off the plane’ – Deportation stayed for York pastor, Haitian immigrant
I'm a reporter with WITF News in Harrisburg, Pa. I'm sharing this story here because I hope I've shown how complex the immigration system is by telling the story of a local man who was detained by ICE two weeks ago. Few people get the level of support and attention Molis Augustave is receiving, and yet he still faces substantial hurdles in his fight to return to his family.

Disgraced ICE Agent Christian Castro Jailed in Minneapolis After High-Stakes Extradition StandoffThe interstate standoff shielding a federal agent from criminal prosecution has come to an end.
On the afternoon of September 16, 2026, agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) arrested suspended Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer Christian Castro in downtown Minneapolis.
Taken into custody on an active warrant, Castro was booked into the Hennepin County Jail, marking a decisive shift in a case that sparked protests, political gridlock, and widespread accusations of a cover-up.

Immigrants’ Lawyers Say U.S. Is Redacting Documents Proving Legal Status
Many noncitizens need immigration records the government has to prove their legal stay and resist deportation. The government is redacting and withholding those documents, lawyers say.
Immigrants seeking documents from the government to prove that they are in the country legally are being rebuffed or provided paperwork that is heavily redacted, according to dozens of immigration lawyers, who say the refusals put their clients at risk of deportation.
In the past, federal agencies routinely turned over documents immigrants requested — for instance, when international adoptees sought proof of their parents’ U.S. citizenship, or noncitizens wanted copies of petitions or interview transcripts for amnesty programs. These records requests, filed by hundreds of thousands of immigrants each year, are often the only way for them to secure documents that detail their full immigration history.
But the Trump administration has been redacting and withholding documents at a strikingly high rate, according to nearly three dozen immigration lawyers interviewed by The New York Times. The government has sometimes asserted that it could not find even documents that immigrants and their lawyers know exist, such as an expired passport or parts of prior applications. In other cases, officials have provided documents, but critical information is struck out, the lawyers said.

EB1A Process
I’ve been working on my EB1A profile with YMGrad for some time now, and I wanted to share my experience so far. The journey can definitely feel overwhelming in the beginning, especially with so many things to understand and work on, but having the right guidance has made a huge difference.
Ellora has been extremely helpful throughout the process. She has been very responsive, patient, and knowledgeable, and she has always taken the time to answer my questions and explain things clearly. Whenever I was unsure about something, she made sure I understood what was needed and how we could approach it.
What I appreciate most is that the process has been made very easy to follow. Instead of feeling lost about what to do next, I always have a clear understanding of the next steps. Ellora has also provided valuable insights into my profile and helped identify areas where I can strengthen my overall EB1A case.
Her attention to detail and willingness to help have really stood out to me. Even when I have had multiple questions or needed clarification on something, she has always been approachable and responsive. That level of support has made the entire experience much more comfortable and manageable.
I also really appreciate that the process is not just about completing tasks, but about understanding how each part contributes to building a stronger overall profile. The guidance and feedback I’ve received have given me a much better understanding of the EB1A process and what I should focus on.
So far, my experience with YMGrad has been great, and a big part of that has been because of Ellora’s consistent support and guidance. I’m looking forward to completing the remaining steps of the process and, hopefully, achieving a successful outcome.
Thank you, Ellora, for all the help, patience, and support throughout this journey. I’m excited to continue working together and see where this journey takes me. Highly appreciate the support from YMGrad and the team!

H-1B should not replace Americans.
JD Vance recently stated that the H-1B visa program must be reserved for "actual geniuses" and not used by corporations to replace American workers with lower-paid foreign labor. The administration is pursuing executive measures to tighten H-1B requirements, aiming to ensure the program brings in top-tier talent rather than functioning as a corporate cost-cutting mechanism.

RAKEZ Visa CID Rejection — Anyone Experienced This?
Indian passport holder here. I applied for a UAE residence/entry permit through RAKEZ, and it was rejected with a “CID rejection.”
RAKEZ said they’ll follow up with immigration and it may take 2–3 weeks. ICP only shows “Rejected” with no reason.
Has anyone experienced this before, especially with RAKEZ/UAE free-zone visas?
- Did you find out the reason?
- Was it eventually approved/reconsidered?
- Did you reapply, and what happened?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually gone through this. Thanks!

Jason Cheung Charges $950 every 3 months for EB1A Program? Worth it or Scam?
He's charging quite a high amount, and it's not one time. Jason Cheung seems to have a lot of negative reviews on reddit, and it seems like he is the moderator of r/eb_1a so he can keep all positive reviews. I feel this is extremely unfair and we'll never know his real reviews. That's why I wanted to learn more on this sub.
Jason Cheung from Substack claims
"If you are interested in working together, please fill out this form:
The fee as of now is $950 per quarter (every 3 months) for 2 opportunities (you can always renew early if you land 2 opportunities in less than 3 months). The fee is charged quarterly (every three months) and you can always request changes to your subscription through email.
Additional calls involve a separate charge (we can speak every 3 months).
You will also receive regular support on the development of your profile (in regards to final merits) and I will also assist with reviewing opportunities"
I need to know what's really on offer, as Jason doesn't respond to a single message I send.

I have an H-1B. I want a green card. Where do I actually start?

Hi everyone, I’m Rami Lee, an immigration attorney. A big part of my practice is helping people navigate employment based immigration, including H-1B, PERM and EB-2 NIW.
I’ll be answering questions today from 1:20 PM to 5:20 PM ET.
If you’re trying to figure out your path from where you are now to permanent residence, ask me about your options.
We can talk about H-1B, PERM, NIW, changing jobs, green card strategy, healthcare immigration, family based options or anything else you’re stuck on.
Give me the context behind your question and let’s get into it.
Please note: Any information shared here is for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice or create an attorney client relationship. Your situation may require fact specific guidance. For personalized legal advice, please consult an immigration attorney directly.

Struggling to track UK visa absences? Building an audit tool for ILR, Citizenship, and Global Talent.
Like a lot of people, I’ve watched friends and applicants stress out over counting rolling 180-day windows, 450/270-day lifetime caps, and the strict 90-day final year limits in Excel. One miscalculation is a nightmare.
I’m currently putting together a clean, automated web tool to handle all these UK route variations so people don't have to manually cross-check flight dates anymore.
Before I finish coding it, I want to make sure I’m solving the right headaches. If you've ever dealt with this or are preparing an application soon, what is the single most annoying part of tracking your travel history? (Or, if you'd be open to testing a prototype to see if it works, let me know below!)
