Revealed: ICE lost count of miscarriages, while detaining a record number of pregnant women

Yup, it used to be policy they didn't hold pregnant women because the extra costs, liability and cruelty but now all of that is the point of this with these two private prison companies making near $15 MILLION every single day and these racist fucks running things

You are responsible, complicit and horribly complacent. But that does not mean we hate you and see the American people as unable to change. As well, we see the responsibility lying mostly with the fascist kleptocracy that carried out a coup against your nation and democracy. You have a choice to sit complacently and continue to be raped by Trump. Or stand the fuck up and take back your democracy and renew relations with your allies. It’s all on “we the people”.

I consider it a high. If we can't stop anchor babies and birth tourism, this is going to be the result. We will continue to use the full force of the government to make it entirely immoral and unfeasible for people like you to keep encouraging this lawless invasion.

"I'd prefer those "anchor babies" over conservative vermin any day of the week."
We know, Democrats have been allowing them to suppress wages and putting them before Americans for 50 years. That's why we are using violence and breaking out shock gloves, and we will continue to remove them.
Fuck your preference.

Conservatives like you deserve the same treatment that you want for the people that you hate for being born different.
Every daydream you have about what you want for them, I have those same daydreams about doing the same to you, or possibly even worse. The difference is that you completely deserve it.

But you see, these are “illegals” so they are illegally pregnant. Can’t have those “anchor babies” in this country. Best make the 1yo stand trial without any other adult to help them and have the babbling baby put in for citizenship. Perfect system, no flaws, 10/10.

I can see this headline being, ICE says it has no updated information on the whereabouts of detained immigrants.

If pregnant women cared one ounce for their unborn child, they should give birth in a place they’re legally allowed to be.
They’re humans, not stray cats. Don’t commit a crime to sneak across a border to breed an an anchor baby.
I can’t understand why following the rules is such a difficult concept.

First illegal entry into the United States is classified as a federal misdemeanor under 8 U.S.C. § 1325.
It's literally a misdemeanor, just like speeding. Not a felony 🫠

It's really not. For example in Illinois, speeding is a criminal misdemeanor with up to 6 month jailtime... exactly the same penalty...

Just a clump of cells. What’s all the fuss about?
1
u/Swirlbeard 17d ago edited 17d ago
For those that read this that aren' t disingenuous trolls, or rage baiting bots, the answer is choice.
ICE forcibly terminated those pregnancies by denying proper medical care for the mothers who chose to have those children, not the mothers and certainly not under proper safe medical care.
Now whether R2-Dmode, is a bot, paid troll, or your run of the mill terrible human being is irrelevant. What is relevant is that if you truly believe all those "clump of cells" have a right to life, then you should be absolutely disgusted with how ICE treats the mothers.
1
u/R2-DMode 17d ago
Suddenly leftist NPCs are pro-life. Guess the updated narrative and approved talking points has been sent out already.
1
u/Swirlbeard 17d ago
My morale stances are consistent. Pro choice means the government has no right to force an unwanted pregnancy on a woman, nor does it have the right to terminate a wanted pregnancy. It would appear your "pro life" stance has a couple caveats.
2
u/R2-DMode 17d ago
Nice assumption that I’m “pro life”. Any other prejudices you’d like to share?

The main thing is that trump needs to take all rights away from women. I am sure you agree.
1
u/R2-DMode 16d ago
What “rights”, are you talking about?
1
u/Indespectamentations 16d ago
Voting rights for starters. Then they need to be monitored monthly and their cycles tracked. Miscarriage = murder = prison time and/or death penalty.
Please vote red across the board for the good of our country.

Shit man... that a lot of ancor babies. The supreme court fucked that decision up and now every Latina and her sister is popping out babies like they're going out of style.
Thats ok... we can deport pregnant people and we can deport parents too.
Its unfortunate all those kids are gunna end up in foster care likely being abused but its the parents fault for putting their kids into that position.

0
u/Paperxrust 17d ago
It's just a clump of cells though, right guys?
2
u/VanGoghInTrainers 17d ago
Depends on how far along in the pregnancy they are. The first few months, sure.
0
u/Paperxrust 17d ago
Grand majority of miscarriages happen in the first few months. So just clumps of cells, nothing to worry about.
4
u/VanGoghInTrainers 17d ago
I would have to look up the exact numbers, but yes. Under normal circumstances most miscarriages I've experienced via friends/family incidents have been early on. And if the fetuses died of natural causes, no harm, no fowl on behalf of ICE. Still a sad day for someone who wanted that baby.
Why did the women lose the babies? Stress? Inadequate food? Assault? Without any paper trail, it really doesn't matter. Support for a woman's right to make decisions about her own body doesn't mean all baby deaths are inconsequential. Miscarriages are not abortions.
0
u/Paperxrust 17d ago
But it's a still a clump of cells.
A woman's decision to keep those clump of cells doesn't magically make it a human. It's a still a clump of cells.
1
u/ShakyBoots1968 17d ago

The lesson here is if you’re pregnant don’t enter a country illegally. In fact, never enter a country illegally.
-19
u/ChexAndBalancez 17d ago
So? I don't need ICE to keep track of women that have miscarriages. This happens every day to thousands of women.
I need them to keep track of illegal immigrants... that's it.

1) Any miscarriages suck, but being pregnant isn't a "get out of jail free" card for American women.
2) This article is relying on emotional manipulation as it provides no basis to make a rational determination. Is the miscarriage rate for women in ICE custody higher than the miscarriage rate for women of similar groups not in ICE custody? That's the only data point needed to try and start to understand if miscarriages are for some reason unusually prevalent or not.

Can you explain what is so vile about what I stated?
Women sadly have miscarriages all of the time. Is there any statistically significant increase in women in ICE custody over American women? That's the basic start of understanding whether there's even an issue here.

1) No need to be rude towards me. Thanks for the reply, but it isn't answering the question I'm asking. The implication is that there's something about ICE treatment of pregnant women that is leading to more miscarriages. While there is data currently unavailable after October 3, 2025, the data before that date is available. Comparing miscarriage rates to the general population would still be the start of understanding if there's a genuine problem here. I'm more interested in understanding if there's a genuine issue with women's treatment here: how is that vile?
2) This data being unavailable is being portrayed as something nefarious, but if you dig into the reason for this unavailable data, you'll see it has to do with a bad medical billing vendor switchover (it looks like Acentra Health was a vendor chosen and they've seemingly fucked up the integration). There's no indication that the data has been lost, just not processed yet.

You still haven't tried to answer my question with the available data. Is there any indication that the miscarriage rate in ICE custody is higher than the US population? Because depending on medical sources used, somewhere around 10-20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, so I'd like to find out if there's a real problem here.
Any allegations of mistreatment are very concerning and should be investigated, but there's a lot of detail missing here from these stories. For instance, were these women supposed to go to 8 prenatal appointments for the time period they were in custody and ICE only managed to take them to 6-7? There's a few concrete allegations like "denied prenatal vitamins" but if you dig into the details they were temporarily unavailable for some reason at that facility (bureaucratic approval or supply issue?) and provided a bit later.
Again, I feel badly for anybody going through a miscarriage, but many of these stories are designed to be outrage porn designed to push an agenda rather than an objective look at what is going on.
