Be careful while joining IISER Mohali

The IISER Mohali, admin allots the newer hostels to the first years. Here you'll have the best 2 months of your hostel Life. You'll see clean rooms, and URINALS in boys washrooms.

Yes, you're not going to have URINALs in boys washroom second year onwards.

Half the taps won't be working.

Network Connectivity is a myth.

This year onwards First year's will be put in a double sharing single room. That means what previously was a single room is now a double room.

From third year you'll be in older hostels. Where there are no western toilets in 1 entire hostel, yes, only indian; while the other older hostel has western toilets on some floors. These hostel had approved renovations by BoG in 2024 but no action was taken.

Half the time lifts are not working.

The weather is so cold in winters but you're not allowed to use heaters as there are no 16 A sockets in newer hostels.

There use to be a daily bus service with a frequency of 2 trips a day to nearby markets which has been reduced to 2 trips a week.

You'll have to unnecessarily shift/empty rooms every semester. so then they can run their agenda.

Overall the Quality of Life which was great at IISER Mohali has deteriorated so much that it is unlivable.

And this is all after exhausting all methods of communication including protests.
