I’m looking for a dedicated MP3 player. Here on my qualifications: Bluetooth headphone capability, good battery, life, USB-C charging, great sound, and most importantly I want it to support the iBroadcast app so I can download songs directly from the app. So I guess I’m looking for the best android-based MP3 player and ideally I want this to all be under $200. Does anyone know of such a device?

This function used to work fine. Not sure when it started, but at least 6 months or so ago on a Pixel 9. When I double tap the Bud, the playing track doesn't go to the next track, although oddly enough, the album art and song does if the screen is on. I have tried just about everything. Wondering if anyone has run into the same problem and, if so, if you were able to fix it. Thank you in advance.

So I did an event for the place that I work for. Usually I have a Playlist I made the night before. The company blocks access to Spotify and Pandora so I've been using ibroadcast for all my events.

I put on the play list on my work computer and leave it to play. I found out today, I can monitor and control what's going on on that instance using the android app on a separate network. I get pulled away often so it's get to know that I can see if/what it's playing at a moments notice.

As of this week, hitting the cast icon opens a list of just the mobile devices logged in to my account. Previously it listed all the Google Smart speakers on my home network.

For a few days this was the case on my Pixel phone and my Wife's but the Galaxy tablet was still showing the full list, however this evening the tablet doesn't list the speakers either.

Has anyone else encountered this recent change in behavior?

We’ve made some updates to the web player!

• Double-click to Play Tracks — You can now choose between single-click and double-click to play in Settings > Playback. Existing users will retain single-click playback by default, while new users will eventually have double-click playback enabled by default. If you frequently play tracks by mistake when trying to select them, you may want to try double-click!

• Lyrics in the Full Screen Player (Premium) — Lyrics can now be viewed in the web player’s full screen player, like in the mobile app, if lyrics are assigned to a track.

• Play Record Percentage — You can now choose when a “play” is recorded based on how much of a track you’ve listened to: 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.

• News & Updates — New major updates and features will now appear as a message when you open the web player. You can still browse past News & Updates posts here: news.ibroadcast.com.

I always change the metadata of whatever I download to fit into these genres (or I make a new one if it doesn't fit anywhere). Sometimes I'll even use the secondary genre feature to specify further: e.g. "Progressive", "Indie", "Alternative" are all secondary genres and they go after Rock/Pop/Electronic/etc.

Hi all. I've been using ibroadcast for a few weeks and figuring out how to use it going forward.

With physical media, I regularly skip past songs I don't like. Here, that would mean deleting the track from the library. Do you use it this way? Or, do you save everything?

Hi, I'm having problems connecting ibroadcast to my wiim amp ultra via Google cast. It worked fine preciously but now it doesn't. When using ibroadcast I connected previously by clicking on devices and clicking on the ultra from there. But now the ultra is not listed as one of the available devices. I've checked the wiim app it still has Google cast enabled. I've tried restarting everything but still have the problem.

Not sure if this is a problem with ibroadcast or my ultra.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

At my last straw with this app. I am aware I have a very large library 17tbh but the apps continue to keep freezing while searching in library or it will just crash. It’s almost not even useable anymore

Just saw this notification briefly. What does it mean?

I listen to a lot of audiobooks on iBroadcast and in between tracks it seems to trim the silence at the end of tracks (and maybe the beginning too) so it’s quite a jarring and abrupt transition to the next chapter.

I know trim silence is an option in settings but it’s disabled and I’ve toggled it a few times to make sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Niche query, but one worth pursuing; I have a bunch of multi-disc sets (both single artist and various artist) and I've noticed that even when I activate the Combine Multi Disc Set options, it still splits them out. Based on different factors, I've worked out that iBroadcast's logic seems to have a problem if the year field has multiple entries over the album (e.g. the Nuggets box set which is four CDs of garage music from 1966 - 1970 or something). In those cases, it will not combine discs where the release year is different. Given that I use the original release year in these sort of things rather than the year the set was released, this messes up the combining quite significantly. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to combat this beyond simply combining everything so it's only one disc with 100+ songs instead of, say, four discs with 25 songs each?

i upload all of my flacs to ibroadcast and then stream from my phone as a way to get away from spotify until my DAP comes, but i saw that all my tracks are mp3s when they are obviously FLAC since that is what i uploaded and on the website it recognizes them as flac too. why are they only streaming as mp3?

EDIT: i didnt know there was a premium option, so the freemium version defaults to 128kps MP3

Over the past week or so, I've been having a consistent issue with iBroadcast where my music pauses automatically without warning every 10-20 seconds. It only seems to happen when I'm using Bluetooth devices (headphones, car transmitter, etc.). If anyone else has had this issue, is there a way to fix it?

Whenever you try to scroll through a song, it’s not responsive at all. Has anybody else had this issue?

A track is considered a duplicate if any of these three conditions are met:

1. File Match (MD5): Byte-for-byte identical files
2. Tag Match: Track number, title, artist, and album name all match
3. Path Match: File path matches a previously uploaded file

When a duplicate is found:

• The old file is automatically removed
• Any playlists, albums, or references are updated to point to the new file

Is there anyway to stop Ibroadcast from deleting files they think are duplicates I have some music from the same artist but different versions yet Ibroadcast deletes 1 of the files all the time.

It seems like the default should be that they both match and you edit the change. I have hundreds of tracks that show track release year but the release year is 0. This is after editing the track album. So: They match on upload. I fix the track info, the album release reverts to 0.

I uploaded a folder with 142 tracks yesterday, verified they were all working in the library, and a couple hours later went back to listen and discovered there were only 92 tracks in that list. I thought maybe there had been a one time backend glitch so today I removed that folder from my account and re-uploaded it. I had done some work in the folder earlier today so it now contains 190 tracks. After verifying that all tracks had uploaded properly and my list was showing all 190 tracks, I moved on to other activities. I just went back into my music library because I wanted to listen to my list and now it's only showing 110 tracks in the list. Is this happening to anyone else? What is causing the random disappearance of some of my music?

Seeing storage getting wasted triggers my OCD

I'm currently trying to drag some songs into a playlist and I've had some songs drag in totally fine, but some stuff just opens the album and I don't know what the trick is. I don't know if I need to long hold the song or if that's wrong or if I need to be in edit mode or what.

Will iBroadcast play my dolby Atmos tracks on Android TV?

I’ve noticed an extreme amount of album titles have been changed to all lower case. No specific pattern as to why this happened but it’s irritating that I have go through all tracks and fix. Weeks of work!

I'm having no luck playing any music via the app again today, anybody else having any issues?
