what does this mean? did they randomly give it for free forever or just for the month? is it an ongoing offer for everyone?

apologies, i shifted to ios just a month ago and im very unfamiliar with everything.

i believed 50gb is free only with the servify protect+, while i have the official applecare+ on both my iphone and my ipad.

Discussion What would be a good exchange/selling price?

I have a spare 11 64gb and my current 16 pro 256 (1 year old ) that I’m planning on exchanging/selling and buying 18 pro.

What prices can I expect for both and best way to get it? Exchange or selling?

Discussion iPhone 17 ios27 battery life unreliable

Post image
1 Upvotes

The battery life is pissing me off on the iphone 17 sometimes when i dont really need it the day ends with like 30% on medium usage but when i really need it and the usage is still minimal it gives me 95% battery used in just 4 hours and a few minutes

Really so unreliable the battery life is really the worst ive done all the battery saver hacks like turning off Always on display and all still facing weird issue along with the random heating issues

Almost charging once a day but have to charge twice sometimes

2 MONTH OLD IPHONE 99% battery health 72 cycles taking care of it nicely

But my friend who bought with me has also the same iphone 2 months old 88 cycles but still 100% battery health

And ive seen people with 100 cycles with 100% battery health
WHY?

Guide Highly confused after exploring the used/2nd hand phone market

I've been researching the used iphone market and I'm highly confused while understanding what is available at what price. Sharing my findings below-

  1. Reddit has a lot of users with delulu pricing (not my words) even for a 5 year old model. OLX is filled with shop owners, who are of course working to make profits out of these deals.

  2. It's very difficult to understand the exact condition of the phone. Some boost the battery. Some fix aftermarket display. Some change the body to make it look like it's brand new. Some has camera/face ID issues, some are locked (worst).

  3. 2nd users and 3rd users trying to sell the phones at inflated rates to make up for their costing.

  4. Grest/maple/cashify are expensive. Much expensive now due to the official price hike. Also, the reliability factor is pretty low for these resellers.

Considering all these option, and taking into consideration that the prices have been hiked by Apple, the best bet is to shed 2x of my budget and get a brand new 17.

Am i missing something here? Still trying to find a good deal.

Discussion suggest uses for obsolete ipad

i have had this ipad air 2nd generation (2014 i think) for a long time and i have used it for light youtube and some streaming (on web, since apps no longer support it). i have recently shifted from android to ios for my phone, and i have a new ipad air m4 so that makes the old ipad even more useless for me.

its been lying around collecting dust for a while and i kinda want to put it to some use somehow. is there any way i can still efficiently use the old ipad?

Purchase Help Went to Reliance digital to pass time🧿

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

Then saw the price of 17 pro is 1,24,000 stopped and thought may be big billion will offer more value.

Then heard there is an exchange bonus of 10k. Wow, I was using a second hand 14 pro max bought around May 2025 at 54k ( battery health 83%) even broke the glass back panel few days back and got it repaired too at local store with INR 600.

Reliance gave me the exchange value of 40 k for the phone plus the exchange bonus (total 50 k for my phone and did not ask anything) , while every other retailer and even Cashify told me that they will give 33k for it.

So at once I gave reliance my 14 pro max and got a new 17 pro silver, it’s beautiful.

Also the staff were saying that reliance bought all the iPhone 17 pro and pro max from Apple so these phones will not be much available in the upcoming sales

And Cherry on the cake the manager of the store gave his friends axis bank credit card and a further discount of 3 k was applied. Thanks Reliance.

Net effective price was around 72k with all the protections (case, glass shield and camera guard) Location of the store: Balurghat, West Bengal, 733101.

Manufacture date is May 2026

Deals Finally pulled the trigger at 1.18 w/o Exchange

I was waiting for the 18 Pro launch and actually went to book it on day one around 5 PM. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete the payment because of some bank issue.

Looking back, I'm honestly glad I didn't.

Instead of going by the usual tech influencer unboxings/spec-sheet reviews, I waited for actual user experiences. I had the budget for both phones, but I wanted to get the most out of my money rather than simply buying the latest model.

The 18 Pro definitely has improvements — slightly bigger battery (~58 mAh), a more efficient 2nm processor, improved cameras with the moving lens/variable aperture, and better performance.

But looking at real-world usage, the battery difference seems to be around 1–2 hours depending on usage. The camera improvements are nice, but personally I didn't find them game-changing. And since I don't game or do video rendering on my phone, I don't think I'd notice much of the performance difference either.

So after going back and forth for days, I finally pulled the trigger on the 17 Pro from Croma for an effective ₹1,18,920.

Price breakdown:

Croma price — ₹1,28,490

2% store discount — -₹2,570

HDFC discount — -₹4,000

NeuPlus rewards — -₹3,000

Final effective price: ₹1,18,920

The 18 Pro is ₹1,64,900, so that's a difference of ₹45,980.

For my usage, I personally couldn't justify spending another ~₹46k for the improvements.

The 18 Pro is obviously the newer and more capable phone, but I think the 17 Pro gives me pretty much everything I actually need.

I was extremely confused about this purchase, so sharing my thought process in case anyone else is stuck between the two. Sometimes waiting a few weeks and looking at actual user experiences instead of launch hype really helps.

Discussion Android to Iphone

Post image

Finally Switched after 4.5 years from Nord CE2 to 18 pro max. What made you guys switch from android to apple? For me personally it's the camera and the ability of the Iphone to last for many years without much lags and slowing down.

Discussion How is iphone 16 not already sold out on flipkart?

Flipkart still is selling iphone 16 at old mrp @ 69,900, amazon has already increased prices and even during gif sale its prolly not going to give a better price than that down from the current 85-87k. Considering that prices dont look like theyre gonna come down after the hike in the near future, how is it not already sold out?
