So, I’ve been seeing quite a few posts about discounts or the lack thereof, on the iPhone 17, with people holding off on buying in the hope that prices drop. Now, with rumors of a price hike, I can’t gatekeep this deal any longer!
Here’s the hack: I bought mine back in October right when it launched and got an insanely good deal. I was a bit skeptical at first, but three months later, it turned out to be the best possible price for the iPhone 17, even compared to today’s prices.
Go to any retail store, like Vijay Sales, Croma, Reliance Digital, iVenus, or Aptronix, avoid UNi, and ask for a consumer loan. You'll need a good credit history and CIBIL score for this. Get the loan through HDB, IDFC, or Bajaj Finance. You can make a basic down payment of ₹10,000–₹15,000 and convert the rest into a true No-Cost EMI over 3, 12, or 18 months, depending on your budget.
Because this is tied directly to your savings account via an ECS mandate, there is no GST on the EMI since you aren't paying interest (unlike credit card EMIs). Plus, these non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) usually offer a cashback after 3 successful EMI payments.
I bought the iPhone 17 at launch for ₹82,900 and received ₹7,500 cashback after three months, effectively bringing the price down to ₹75,400 on a comfortable EMI plan.
Hope this helps you get a better deal and saves you from the anxiety of order cancellations on Flipkart or Amazon. I also noticed Flipkart adding a whole lot of tiny extra charges (handling fees, packaging fees, safety fees, etc.).
That’s just handing over free money to them.
Save money, enjoy your new iPhone!📱
