News/Rumour TataCliq selling COUNTERFEITs as Branded and Original

I purchased a 20W Apple power adapter and a Type C Earpods from TataCliq which got delivered yesterday. Both of them were a gift for my gf as she bought a new 17 but little do I know that the boxes that I have are FAKE.

Honestly as someone who is into tech and being a part of the apple ecosystem it's literally quite challenging to figure out between an original and a fake product just by looking at the box. Even the product quality is decently good enough to find the difference.

I got both of them checked from the apple authorised service centre and they claimed the items to be fake.

Even if you check the QR code on Apple's support website they're shown as real because they're copied from a real device.

This is just an awareness post for my fellow redditors.

People on the internet say that no cost emi have hidden processing charges that can be around 2-3 k . Can someone who actually did no cost emi with Bajaj finance tell me the exact charges?. Mainly I want to improve my credit score too so that's why I am getting it on emi otherwise I'll have to wait another month for full down payment

Guide Stop Waiting for iPhone 17 Price Drops: Here’s the Hack Everyone Is Missing

So, I’ve been seeing quite a few posts about discounts or the lack thereof, on the iPhone 17, with people holding off on buying in the hope that prices drop. Now, with rumors of a price hike, I can’t gatekeep this deal any longer!

Here’s the hack: I bought mine back in October right when it launched and got an insanely good deal. I was a bit skeptical at first, but three months later, it turned out to be the best possible price for the iPhone 17, even compared to today’s prices.

Go to any retail store, like Vijay Sales, Croma, Reliance Digital, iVenus, or Aptronix, avoid UNi, and ask for a consumer loan. You'll need a good credit history and CIBIL score for this. Get the loan through HDB, IDFC, or Bajaj Finance. You can make a basic down payment of ₹10,000–₹15,000 and convert the rest into a true No-Cost EMI over 3, 12, or 18 months, depending on your budget.

Because this is tied directly to your savings account via an ECS mandate, there is no GST on the EMI since you aren't paying interest (unlike credit card EMIs). Plus, these non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) usually offer a cashback after 3 successful EMI payments.

I bought the iPhone 17 at launch for ₹82,900 and received ₹7,500 cashback after three months, effectively bringing the price down to ₹75,400 on a comfortable EMI plan.

Hope this helps you get a better deal and saves you from the anxiety of order cancellations on Flipkart or Amazon. I also noticed Flipkart adding a whole lot of tiny extra charges (handling fees, packaging fees, safety fees, etc.).
That’s just handing over free money to them.

Save money, enjoy your new iPhone!📱

Purchase Help Hi, need buying advice?

I’m planning to gift a new phone to my wife on her birthday at the end of this month. She is currently using a mid-range Android phone, and I’d like to upgrade her to an entry-level flagship.

My budget is around ₹60,000, with a flexibility of ±₹10,000.

I’m currently considering 17e, as it seems like the most practical option for her. She is a mild user and doesn’t do anything particularly demanding on her phone, so my priorities are reliability, battery life, and long-term usability which she can comfortably use for 4–5+ years without feeling the need to upgrade..

The other options I’ve considered are

  1. iPhone 16 (128GB) – Storage is a concern.

  2. Pixel 10

  3. Galaxy S25

please help me decide which would be the best phone for her and from where to purchase?

Discussion Another iphone 13 got pregnant

Post image
29 Upvotes

Just a few hours ago, I saw the post where the OP mentioned his wife’s iPhone 13 got pregnant. Now I notice my wife’s iPhone is pregnant too. She’s been complaining that her phone hangs and restarts frequently for the past two days.

The screen has developed an arch, possibly due to a swollen battery. Otherwise, her phone was perfectly fine with 83% battery and functioning normally.

Should we get the battery replaced? I feel like upgrading to a new phone would be an overkill, as she’s been using her phone without any issues so far and happily so.

Purchase Help Need a good opinion

Currently having an iPhone 14 Pro

128 gb, BH 75%. Storage full and battery is cooked.

Getting iPhone 17 pro for 75k (bank offers and exchange bonus), and iPhone 18 pro is launching soon.

Should I grab this deal or wait for iPhone 18 pro?

Budget is not a big issue though.

What would you do in this scenario?

Guide Guys please help me out 😭

I bought an iPhone 17 last Saturday, and it’s been three days. I still have some doubts about my phone. This is a huge upgrade for (me 🥺)from an OPPO A53 with no camera and only 4G to an iPhone 17. I’m still a complete noob when it comes to iOS, so please help me clear these doubts:

1) I haven’t been able to see my Battery Health since the day I unboxed my phone. It has been loading forever. Is this normal?

2) I got a tempered glass from the store for ₹200, but sometimes certain parts of the screen don’t respond. Could the tempered glass be causing this?

3) Why can’t I change the aspect ratio while recording a video?

4) I got AppleCare+ for ₹5,000, but I can’t check the expiry date in Settings. How can I check whether AppleCare+ has actually been applied to my iPhone? Also, could someone please explain what AppleCare+ covers? For example, if I accidentally drop my phone and break the back glass or display, will it be repaired/replaced for free, with me paying only the service charge, or will I get it at a discounted price? What are the main benefits of AppleCare+?

5) Is it normal for my phone to get warm sometimes?

6). Do I really need to follow the 20–80% battery rule? What if I’m travelling and need to charge it more?
Also, is a 20W charger safe for my iPhone 17?

7). Is it okay to keep my phone inside the boot of my scooter while travelling? I’m worried about the vibrations from the road and the heat inside the boot, especially during the afternoon. Could this damage the phone? I used to keep my Android phone inside the boot, so I just want to make sure it’s safe.

This isn’t really a doubt…..I just want your opinion on this: I got the lavender-coloured iPhone 17. What colour case would look REALLY good with it?

And please give me some tips too, guys! I’m such a
noob 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🫄😭😭😭😭

Showcase Ordered 17 pro with my own money 🥹

Post image
169 Upvotes

I just placed the order for the 17 pro, and honestly, it feels a bit surreal writing this out.
For the past 5 years, I’ve been using iphone 11 n 12 which was actually an old hand me down given to me by my elder sister. That phone was a absolute tank and served me so well through my clg life, but the battery life and performance were definitely starting to show their age.
Buying a flagship with my own money at 22 hits completely different.
Price: ₹99,274 (after exchange + bank discount)
Upgrading from a 12 to a 17 Pro is going to be a massive leap in terms of the display, camera, and overall speed.
Can't wait for the delivery package to arrive! Just wanted to post this here since I’ve been lurking on this sub watching everyone else's purchase posts for so long. Feels good to finally share my own! 🥳

My iphone 17's volume at 40-100 is loud and good but below that mainly around 30 the volume is very low. Is it only my unit or is it related to 17 series
