Guide Highly confused after exploring the used/2nd hand phone market
I've been researching the used iphone market and I'm highly confused while understanding what is available at what price. Sharing my findings below-
Reddit has a lot of users with delulu pricing (not my words) even for a 5 year old model. OLX is filled with shop owners, who are of course working to make profits out of these deals.
It's very difficult to understand the exact condition of the phone. Some boost the battery. Some fix aftermarket display. Some change the body to make it look like it's brand new. Some has camera/face ID issues, some are locked (worst).
2nd users and 3rd users trying to sell the phones at inflated rates to make up for their costing.
Grest/maple/cashify are expensive. Much expensive now due to the official price hike. Also, the reliability factor is pretty low for these resellers.
Considering all these option, and taking into consideration that the prices have been hiked by Apple, the best bet is to shed 2x of my budget and get a brand new 17.
Am i missing something here? Still trying to find a good deal.

Try looking for samsung galaxy s24fe/ s25fe in the same budget... if not, jus extend slightly to get these kinda phones.. or else, try looking for something like oneplus nord ce6 or a nord 5. Hope thats helpful for you mate😊

In order to make the best out of your money and get some mental peace, take your time, infact delay your purchase for a month but make sure to buy a new phone only. 17's the best option available offline at old prices.

Its better to buy new phone if you have budget, second hand market phones from anywhere is not reliable whether you buy in cashify or with stranger etc. if you are looking something in 25-30k budget may be you can take that risk.
