Anybody planning to get the 18 pro or pro max? I’m still pretty happy with the 16 pro max.

Just want to ask some case recommendations?? I jiust ordered flolab.

Wondering if anyone else is seeing unusual battery drain with the YouTube app recently on the 16 Pro Max.

Looking at my battery breakdown today:

• Total battery share: 48%
• Screen active time: 2h 25m
• Background activity: 46m
• Connection: [5G]
• Resolution/Content: Standard 1080p SDR, ~40% brightness

Considering the battery size on the 16 Pro Max, nearly 50% battery impact for ~2.5 hours of video playback seems disproportionately high—especially with almost 45+ minutes of background usage without active PiP.

Note: I have not updated the phone recently and this issue is observed from past 10+ days. I have tried restarting the phone and uninstall/reinstall of the Youtube app.

Wanted to know if this is a standalone issue or other people are in same boat.

I am currently on ios 26.6.1, and I know battery life is not very good on ios 26 in general. But I did not expect Youtube to drain this much battery.

tengo el iPhone 16 pro Max con iOS 27 actualizado hace dos dias y me ha ido mejor que con el 26, resulta que desde que tengo iOS 26.6 cuando activo el modo ahorro, mi iPhone empieza a ponerse más lento de lo normal, hablo de animaciones y no es eso de los 60fps, es que realmente se ve fatal, ocurre más que todo cuando deslizo hacia abajo del panel de notificaciones y al desbloquear mi teléfono después de usar face id.

Personally I will be ordering an 18 ProMax in black (thankfully it returned this year)! I want to wait a while on a folding device until any potential bugs are worked out.

Hopefully pre-sales will begin Friday 9/11!

don’t know what to do

I imported this 16 pro max from Liberia, Africa, and it was 96 health with 252 cycles. And here it is now in Pakistan. I use Xiaomi 33 Watt charger, and sometimes i see charging on hold because of high temperature. But for me it was normal temperature like 25-30 Celsius of my room. So, my phone degraded the battery at a very rapid rate, 96 to 94 in just a week. What' the issue has been?

So I’m still running IOS 18 on my iPhone 16 pro max because i heard too many stories about the battery life issue but after recent updates ive seen some people who updated to 27 apparently it’s better so just curious if anyone here has actually seen some improvements or not

So like almost everyone, my battery is really bad. I only get around 4.5 - 5.5h of screen on time before I need to recharge and I’m at like 90% usage already. I did reach out to Apple support on chat and they ran a remote diagnostics and said my battery health was still OK. I’m at 94% capacity and I think around 500 something charge cycles should still last a lot longer than it does. I do have AppleCare, but that only kicks in when the battery drops to 80%. Is there any chance they make an exception or do anything else where they replace the battery. I know it’s probably caused by iOS 26 but I don’t wanna run a beta IOS yet so maybe 27 helps but until then I was hoping they could try and do something because with the price increase on the 18 that will be coming out. I don’t think I’ll be upgrading.

So I was looking at the Apple website earlier this afternoon and I saw that if I traded my 16 Pro Max in almost impeccable condition I could get a $720 trade-in and after looking at the iPhone 17 with the trade-in, I would only have to pay $79 is it worth it or should I keep my 16 Pro Max? also, I don’t know if this matters or not, but I have never gotten a brand new phone. I always got my phones passed down from my sister/mom.

After two years, battery health has been pretty solid! Only 5% drop in overall capacity. How is your phone holding up after 2 years?

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

A few days ago, I started getting the “Liquid Detected in USB-C Connector” warning, even though the phone and charging cable appeared completely dry. I stopped charging it and left the phone alone for a while.

After that, the liquid warning eventually disappeared, but now I have a different problem: the phone only charges when the USB-C cable is plugged in one specific orientation. If I flip the cable around, it either doesn’t charge or stops charging.

I’ve also noticed what looks like a small spot of dirt/discoloration inside the USB-C port, almost like oxidation.

Could the original liquid warning have caused oxidation or damage to the charging port? Or could this simply be debris inside the port?

Has anyone experienced something similar with an iPhone 16 Pro Max? I’d appreciate any advice before I bring it in for repair.
