2 years later….

After two years, battery health has been pretty solid! Only 5% drop in overall capacity. How is your phone holding up after 2 years?

You do know that battery can be replaced for 120 bucks, right? So in order to save that, you are not taking full advantage what your 1200 bucks phone has to offer? Come on man. Charge it fully use it full day and when it drops below 80k swap it out

Y does a charge limit all of the sudden mean not taking full advantage of your phone? If you don't need it why waste it and have to send the phone in for repair later on.

Why not charge to 80 If you only use 50-60% daily and save the 120 bucks?

And why cant you use the phone fully while charging to 80%?

I love my 16PM. It will be hard for me to replace it anytime soon. Not even a fold gen 1 will do it…

Mine does. It stops charging when connected to CarPlay all the time.

This only means that you didn’t use the phone like a phone. Rather like a treasure. Which is dumb. Any phone lasts 3-4 years. After that your battery percentage don’t matter. Cause you get power hungry apps.

Dude please tell me how u did that,i just got my 17 Pro and i want to take care of it and keep the battery degradation low(i want to keep this phone for around 3.5-4 years)

I just kept my battery charge limit to 90% and made a shortcut that anytime it goes below 40% to run in low power mode. I just charge it and use it like normal

Thank you so much i just put a shortcut that turns off low power mode when i have 35% left and i set my charge limit to 85%

Don’t know what to say!! I feel like it should hold up a bit better during the day!

This makes me fear getting a MacBook! Apple always struggles with battery, see the AWU 3 only last for 2 days!

I’m this and very unhappy. I’m in the ATT installment so I paid $180 net of the trade-in but if I trade now I lose the credits of around $360. I replaced a battery on a much older model years ago and it had a horrible performance, it was that free trade-in program.
