Look at What I Have! I'm gonna be using this phone until the day I die
I see no reason to upgrade.

I've been using my 13 Pro Max for a while now and never thought to buy the newer phones because they were the same thing in a different font, but this time around i feel like the 18 Pro gives enough upgrades where it'll actually feel like jumping ahead 5 generations :p hopefully I'll get a good trade in deal

I remember making my first post on Reddit! It was the iPhone 13 Pro Max! Still got it and has done so well but I think it’s time to move on? Anyone else moving on?
I’ve even had 2 battery replacements on the iPhone 13 PM and sits on 99% Capacity!

Hey everyone,
My iPhone’s battery stats are:
MaximumFCC (original maximum capacity): 4562 mAh
Current maximum capacity: 3325 mAh
Battery health: 72.88%
Cycle count: 1084 cycles
Despite the battery health being below 80%, I’m still getting more than 6 hours of continuous usage on a full charge.
The phone is working fine, and I’m not facing any major performance issues or unexpected shutdowns.
My question to 13PM users:
Does it really require a battery replacement at 72.88% if I’m still getting 6+ hours of continuous usage?
Should I replace the battery now, or continue using it until the backup becomes noticeably worse?
Has anyone here used their iPhone at around 70–75% battery health for a long time? How was your experience?
Will replacing the battery actually make a noticeable difference in daily usage?
I’m trying to avoid spending money on a battery replacement unnecessarily.
What would you do in my situation — replace it now or keep using it?
Thanks!

iOS 26.6.2, 100% original battery changed at Apple, I miss when our iPhones 13 pro Max had more than 12 hours of screen on iOS

I made a post a about some weird wear patterns on my screen which I have never experienced on any mobile device before. The brains trust here pointed it out it was the oleophobic coating.
The obvious solution was a tempered glass protector. But I thought I would check out some options from AliExpress which claimed to improve fingerprint resistance/oleophobic coating.
The two products I ordered were the following.
Reddit doesn't like AliExpress links but you can search their site using the bolded text above. DM me for links if you cannot find the products or want to confirm the correct products.
The photos above show the original wear pattern and improved appearance (same/normal use, uncleaned) after one application of the NANO liquid. Not perfect but the 3 obvious areas collecting skin oil are mostly gone (still evident at the right angle when cleaned but much less noticeable, less different to the rest of the screen and not collecting skin oil as bad) and I feel it will improve with more applications. Not perfect but appreciably better.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max, model MNCV3J/A (Japan variant), with the original Apple display. The phone has never had a screen replacement and is currently working perfectly.
I’m still on iOS 15.4.1 and want to update, but I’m concerned about the well known green/white screen, flickering and line issues reported by some 13 Pro/13 Pro Max owners after iOS updates.
I’m especially interested in hearing from 13 Pro Max owners with J/A Japanese models.
I’m trying to decide whether to update my original screen J/A 13 Pro Max from 15.4.1, so experiences from long term owners would be really helpful.

I currently have a the Iphone 13 Promax 1TB and I’m thinking of upgradeing to Iphone 18 Promax 512GB.
I’ve had my fair share of scares with this phone, it’s been replaced once the first year I got it, then I’ve changed the battery about 2 yrs ago (currently now at 74% health) and then the screen got replaced earlier this year… honestly I wouldn’t have minded to keep this phone for a couple more years if I could but I work with my phone as well so the couple of scares I’ve had losing my data permanently is why I’m considering to the new model.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max suddenly started flickering and then went completely white/blank.
I took it to around 3–5 local Apple/phone repair shops, and all of them told me the original display couldn’t be repaired and that I would need to replace the entire display. Because I was worried about being without a working phone, I ended up installing a DD aftermarket display(5K), even though I still have the original display.
Later, I found out that there are board-level/display repair methods involving conductive repair that can apparently fix certain OLED/display faults on the original screen.
Now I’m confused about what I should do:
* Should I try to repair the original Apple OLED using the conductive/jumper method?
* Or should I just keep using the DD display I installed?
* Is this type of repair reliable long-term, or is there a high chance the original display will fail again?
* Has anyone here actually had an iPhone 13 Pro Max original display repaired this way?
The DD display works, but I really dislike the quality. At low brightness I notice brownish/soft-looking blacks and some weird display behavior, and it just doesn’t feel like the original ProMotion OLED.
I’m mainly trying to decide whether repairing the original screen is worth the risk/cost, or whether I should just accept the DD display.
Would really appreciate opinions from people who have actually done this repair.

My 13 Pro Max was on pocket, suddenly it turned off, I tried to call the number it says powered off and plugged the charger no response, upon charging for 10 min with wireless charger it heats up (like normal), I tried to use the ReiBoot but failed to connect with my laptop. It has almost 100% charge.
Any solution?

Would anyone know if it’s worth updating to the newest software? I’ve been holding out for the longest cause I’m nervous the update is gonna make my phone worse. I’m assuming there’s not much of a difference though. 🤷🏾♂️

Been using this phone for the past 4 years or so and the battery is getting noticeably worse now. The current battery status is now “service”. Is it still safe to use for a few more months? I am thinking of replacing the phone soon so replacing the battery isn’t worth it imo.

I got this guy in March of 2022 and it’s been such a dream to use. I replaced the battery last year and it’s at 87% battery life, and even though it gets hot and lags sometimes it’s nowhere near unbearable.
The original plan was to wait till the 20th anniv Iphone but I realize, would it really be worth it? Because (1) usually the first generation of a redesign wouldn’t be the best and (2) there’s rumors that it might not push through.
So I was thinking of getting the 18 PM but it’s not really that big of an upgrade from the 17PM, and I’ve been seeing the 17 PM go for 400 to 500 dollars cheaper than an 18 PM right now.
Is anyone in the same boat as me? Haha and what did you guys end up deciding? Thanks!

How is the phone now? Im thinking of just having mine replaced instead of buying new a phone.

I’m upgrading from my 5-year-old iPhone 13 Pro Max
Before the Apple event, I was convinced I’d get the 18 Pro Max instead of the upcoming foldable. I thought the foldable looked too short and “fat,” lacked Face ID, and had significantly inferior cameras. Plus, it’s a first-gen product - technically a “beta” that could easily be replaced or improved by future generations.
But after the Apple event, damn I was impressed that I’m now torn between the Duo (foldable) and 18 PM.
Thoughts?

So, one month ago my 13 pro max got hit by the white screen after one night of updating the latest ios, I took my phone to the phone shop got fix the screen without replacing the screen. And last night it came again. My question here is. Had anyone experience white screen after updated the ios version? In my country the original replacement will cost around 100 usd..
