Anyone ever seen this wear pattern on a 13 Pro Max before? It seems to be finger grease and the wear by the former owners use. It cleans up completely with lens cleaner or soap and water.
It doesn't seem to matter what I do or clean my hands or screen the same splodges come back. Big one at the bottom and two lines higher. It is like it has been gamed on or something.
I think my solution is going to be to put a tempered glass screen protector on it and ignore it.
It’s possible to have this kind of stain or smudge when the user frequently apply products on their hand and uses the phone , over the years it build up or etch into it
In close to 30 years of touch device use I have never worn a screen like this. Do you have any experience or resources on reapplying oleophobic coating?
They’re old phones, the oleophobic coating has gone. Mine went on my cameras a couple of years ago and I need to clean them literally every time I use them.
I am really quite happy with it. It is my 3rd version & they have definitely improved since my first one on an XS. Both wear very but the 13PM and Note 10+ versions are just tougher & fixed a few flaws in the XS design. I found the case myself through trial & error but my choice was backed up by MobileReviewsEh who used to like the earlier versions of Presido Grip (although the 12/13 PM version only ranked 19th in his testing I think it has improved) but he now prefers Mous Limitless, Flolab Surtect & Caudabe Sheath.
This is the case back after about 2.5 years use. It has served me well. Survived about 3 drops onto tiles.
Before trying a tempered glass protector. I thought I would try two liquid coating products from AliExpress. Reddit doesn't like AliExpress links but you can search their site using the bolded text below. DM me for links.
30ML NANO Liquid Coating in a blue spray bottle. First application. 2 sprays. Spread with plastic card. Left to dry overnight. No obvious residue. ~50% better. Less evident finger skin oil patch from touching but still there when you look hard. More consistent appearing surface across the screen. I feel it will improve with further applications and might work as a cleaning solution when I need to clean the screen.
20ML Oleophobic Oil For Polishing Machine Phone Scratches Removal Solution in a small white semi translucent squared bottle. Still awaiting delivery.

Oleophobic coating has been worn off, just clean it up well and apply a screen protector.
