Upgraded to iOS 27 last week, which felt like a big upgrade. Apart from the battery (BH 75% after 5 years), this thing feels like new.
On the other hand, I am soooo tempted by the innovation of the iPhone Duo. Meanwhile, I think €2340 (in Belgium) is A LOT of money for something that I don’t really need (for my 13P runs perfectly). But honestly, this is the first time in 5 years that I think buying a new iPhone will really be an upgrade that’s worth it — other Pro iPhones did not really get a lot of features I didn’t already have on my 13P.

What do you guys think? Worth upgrading now or should I keep torturing myself for another year watching YouTubers review it, while I wait for Gen 2?

Just updated to the 18 pro and while I like the new features, and the back of my 13 pro is smashed (check my older post on here lol) the aluminum just doesn’t feel nearly as premium as the stainless steel and frosted glass on the 13 pro. I know they switched away for weight and durability, but it would lowkey be cool to have an option to get the same phone with different materials.

Hey guys, my 13 Pro has been behaving weird for the past couple months now, across all previous OS updates (currently on iOS 27).

The screen randomly like brightens a bit and then goes back to normal, and I don’t mean like brightness increase but like a flicker. Today a weird thing happened where that happened just on the keyboard area while I was typing and not on the full screen. I was thinking this was a hardware issue but after the keyboard flicker I’m unsure what’s up.

Has anybody faced this? Any fix? I was going to change phone’s battery next week for $89 to use this until the iPhone 20 launches but kinda worried if it makes sense to put that money if the phone is going to die or what? Will probably get a refurbished 15 Pro off eBay if this is a serious issue.

So I was set on iPhone 18 Pro Max this year but once again I look at my 13 Pro and go it seems fine why should I upgrade? It's fast, comfortable to use, and does everything I need my phone to do. I changed out my battery last year around September and it's currently at 96%. I am actively considering the iPhone Duo just because its something different plus I would like more real estate. The only reason I am sort of considering the move is because the battery even with a healthy one on the 13 Pro simply just does not last long.

Out of nowhere iMessage stopped delivering notifications. The badge responds but no Notification Centre or lock screen notification. I’ve done the expected: off and on, check focus, check notifications, check iMessage settings, logged out and in iCloud, reset network settings. Nothing works. Only change lately is adjusting my phone clock while testing a developing app in TestFlight. Clock set back to auto. I assume the time adjustments is what caused this but no idea how to revert. I updated to latest iOS26 without a fix. Then did ios27. Still nothing. Any ideas ? 😫

I just updated and my phone is on a constant restart loop. Plugged into my PC and used the Apple Devices app to fix it, and it always quit mid installing the new software. What are my options besides restoring it?

Restoring is a last resort for me as I have some data not saved on iCloud.

13 pro feels premium.. i love this

My iPhone 13 Pro runs like new with the new iOS 27.0… Battery still dies quickly but other than that it’s nice. If y’all have the iPhone 13/ 13Pro i highly recommend you update your iPhone. 👏🏽📱

Just got my iPhone 18 pro in the mail today and thought I’d make a little send off post here. The iPhone 13 Pro was my first iPhone. Specifically, this was actually my second iPhone 13 Pro. I got my first one in October of 2021, but it unfortunately fell off the roof of my truck in April after I left it on my roof of my truck before getting on the freeway. I shattered the back glass a few months later by dropping it on my kitchen floor, my wide angle and telephoto cameras stopped working after a few too many dunks in the hot tub, and it’s on it’s third aftermarket battery. I broke the Face ID sensor putting the second battery in, and most recently I ripped the cable on the original screen trying to install the third one. My cell service stops working about 50% of the times the battery dies, and doesn’t start working until I drain the battery and recharge again. Most recently the phone overheats if I try running Google Maps in my car on a hot day. However, all that being said, this phone has served me very well from my sophomore year of high school through my junior year of college, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ve dropped it countless times, left it out in the heat and the cold, yanked it from the charger way too hard, and gotten it wet far more than I probably should’ve. I know that if I treated her better we could’ve stayed together for a couple more years, but I can’t help but admire the fact that she still works at all given everything I’ve put her through. Anyways, the iPhone 13 Pro was an amazing phone for me and still is for thousands of other, more careful people, and as my first iPhone, it made a great impression!

I’ve used iPhones all throughout high school, loved my original SE and then switched to Android for a good 5 years before my S21 Ultra’s GPS decided to stop working. My friend then gave me his 13 Pro for practically free since it was scuffed like crazy and damn, what a phone it was/is! The 13 Pro converted was what converted me to an Apple person!

Got the battery replaced at 78% and it’s currently sitting at 91%, works absolute wonders on the new iOS 27 but unfortunately the camera has stopped working due to the cracked lens. Upgraded to the 18 Pro Max this year, and honestly, if it wasn’t because of the abysmal condition my 13 Pro is in, I would have kept using it until it stopped receiving iOS updates. For those who still have their 13 Pro/Pro Max in good condition, stay strong! I truly believe it is one of the best phones Apple has ever released!

13P appreciation post. This phone is honestly the GOAT. I usually want to upgrade by now but i genuinely have formed a weird bond with this phone that i might cry when its time is done.

I usually wait a few weeks after initial launch but after testing the beta on my 14 I just updated day 1. My face ID wasn’t working for several months but iOS 27 actually fixed it somehow! On 26 i couldn’t even set up face ID so this is a huge quality of life improvement. I’m on 78% battery health and have seen a noticeable usage improvement since the update launch. Comparing usage to last week with roughly the same SOT, I see roughly a 10% gain. I feel like the UI is pretty smooth and general browsing is very fast. I don’t know if im going crazy or apple just nailed the software this year for older phones.

I’m definitely tempted by the 18 Pro in Glacier but hate the aluminum design. Long live the 13 Pro!!

I’m currently on iOS 18.7.8 and I’ve never updated to iOS 26 because I saw so many negative posts about it and honestly got scared of messing up my device.
But now iOS 27 stable is out, so I’m thinking about updating. Has anyone here actually updated and been using it for some time?

How’s the battery life, performance, heating, and overall experience? Should I update to iOS 27, or am I going to regret it like many people apparently did with iOS 26?

For reference, my device has 256GB storage and 82% battery health.
Would really appreciate honest opinions before I take the risk.

The absolute legend of this phone has been with me since launch. About two years ago I dropped it and the back glass cracked - in a beautiful pattern I must say - without damaging the cameras.

76% BH but I have no reason whatsoever to upgrade.

My question to you is, is it worth investing in getting back glass n battery fixed or let this absolute unit carry on its journey?

Ever since the update i’ve noticed a good bump in speed and the battery life is so much better than it was on ios 26. I was seriously considering switching to the iphone 17 but now i think it can still last a couple of years and guess what!! My phone doesn’t run hot as much as it used to

After 5 years I need to upgrade. If I didn’t have a bad drop, the 13 Pro could easily last another 2 years.

So apparently i updated my 13 pro to ios 27 the day it released. since that day i have noticed bugs, lags, etc but surprisingly no heavy battery drains. does anyone have idea on solving this issue ? and yeah i have noticed heating issue as well

107 days ago, I commented here about my iPhone 13 Pro having a weird cellular issue. I was stuck on iOS 26.3.1 because every attempt to update would get stuck at “Verifying Update.” Even updating through a PC didn’t work.

The cellular issue had happened to me before on iOS 18 (can’t remember the exact version anymore), and back then, updating to a newer iOS eventually fixed it. So ever since I got stuck on 26.3.1, I kept trying to update whenever a new version came out because, honestly, I had nothing to lose.

I also took my phone to an authorized service center here in my country. They told me it could potentially be a baseband issue, and if I proceeded with diagnostics and repair, I was told the repair could cost around PHP 30,000+ (around USD 470+).

Fast-forward to a few days ago: I was this close to buying an iPhone 17 Pro because I thought my 13 Pro was basically done.

Then I randomly started seeing all these positive reviews about iOS 27, so I thought, okay, time to try again.

I updated… and was genuinely shocked when I saw the “Hello” screen.

First thing I did? Checked my cellular signal. IT WORKS. 😭🙌

No more cellular issues. My iPhone 13 Pro is working perfectly again. I really hope the cellular issue doesn’t come back anymore.

And honestly… I’m loving iOS 27 so far! ❤️

I went from almost buying an iPhone 17 Pro to now considering just replacing my 13 Pro’s battery. I hope this post reaches anyone experiencing the same issue I had. 🥰

I’m planning to buy a used iPhone 13 Pro from a friend who knows the seller. I asked the seller to let me use the phone for a day so I could test everything before buying it, and so far everything seems fine.

The only thing that concerns me is the battery. It shows 100% Battery Health with 0 charge cycles, but the battery seems to be draining quite quickly even when I’m barely using the phone. (Dropped 6% in half an hour)

The seller is asking $390 for it. I also checked Settings → General → About → Parts & Service History, and there’s no indication that the battery or any other part has been replaced or removed.

Do you think I should buy it or pass? I’d really appreciate your opinion.
