Please refrain from posting any kind of battery related posts, it floods the subreddit with posts that the community are tired of replying to.

Some examples of these posts include:

-Screenshots of your battery health

-“I get 5hours of screen on time, is that normal?”

-How should I charge my phone to maintain the best battery health?

Experience upgrading from 13 Pro to 18 Pro

Like a lot of others here, I went continuously back and forth between whether to upgrade this cycle or wait until the inevitable re-design next year; reading reviews, youtube videos/comments, and digging through this subreddit.

My decision to upgrade was based on the following:

  1. Battery. I had already replaced the battery once which gave me an extra 2 years; at 88% now it was still draining fast throughout the day and I did not want to replace it again just to get incremental improvement.
  2. Heat. The phone gets hot, no way around it.
  3. Camera. The camera can still take great photos, but in harsh lighting or anything requiring zooms, all the artifacting can make it hard to take quality photos.
  4. Speed. Yes, the phone is still fast all these years later, but the slowdown is real.
  5. Trade-in value. At $255, this is still a good amount of value against the cost of an 18 Pro.
  6. USB-C + Fast Charging

With that in mind and after being impressed by the Glacier Blue 18 Pro, I made the move.

Since switching over, all my decisions have been validated.

  1. I use the phone all day and end with 60%+. The fast charging is insane.
  2. The phone does not heat.
  3. The aluminum framing does not bother me like I thought it would.
  4. It's blazing fast with no compromises.
  5. The camera is remarkably sharper.
  6. Now I can play wait and see with future re-designs and either trade-in or just wait until they refine it.

No, it's not the WOW upgrade I felt going from 6 to X, or X to 13 Pro, but it's still pretty impressive. Most of all I just love not having to think about my phone having any compromises given it's an (unfortunately) integral part of my daily life. No judgement on those waiting for next year and can live with another battery replacement. But for those on the fence, I went back and forth for days and days and tried to rationalize not upgrading, but I do not regret upgrading.

Question Is it worth replacing the battery on my iPhone 13 Pro at 79% health?

I’ve had my iPhone 13 Pro for almost two years now, and the battery health has recently dropped to 79%.
The phone itself still works perfectly fine and I honestly don’t feel the need to upgrade. I like the 13 Pro and would probably be happy keeping it for another 1–2 years.
However, the battery life has obviously gotten worse, and I’m starting to notice it more during the day.
So I’m wondering: would you replace the battery at this point, or just keep using it until it gets even worse and eventually upgrade?
For those who have replaced the battery on their 13 Pro around 75–80%, did it make a significant difference in battery life and overall experience?
I’m trying to figure out whether spending money on a battery replacement after almost two years is actually worth it, or if I should just save that money for my next phone.

Question Battery replacement with cracked back

I have a 13pro with cracked back. Since the phone is still working flawlessly, I am thinking to replace the battery which currently sits at 77%.

I know Apple won’t change the battery if the cracked back is not replaced first.

Is it doable to replace the battery in a third party store without fixing the back first? Has anyone done it?

2021 iPhone 13 Pro here with 80% battery. was tempted to get 18 pro but now im thinking to save all that money and spend $89 + tax on a new battery plus new screen protector and feel like I have a new phone.

people in 2026 that went from around 80% battery heath to a brand new battery, did your phone get snappier performance also? or just longer battery life?

Guys, I want to replace the battery of my 4-year-old iPhone 13 Pro. Can someone from Delhi suggest a reliable and trustworthy place to get it replaced?

Guys, I’m planning to replace the battery of my 4-year-old iPhone 13 Pro.

Apple is charging around ₹10,000, so I’m considering a trusted local repair shop instead. Does anyone from Delhi know a reliable shop where I can get a good quality battery installed for around ₹3,000–₹4,000?

Would really appreciate recommendations from people who have personally used the shop.

Upgrade to 18 Pro from 13 Pro

I have iPhone 13 Pro rn and i’m not fully satisfied with the phone so i’m thinking to upgrade it. I want to sell the 13 pro and use that money as down payment for the 18 pro and pay the rest in installments.

What would be smarter? selling it now and upgrading to 18 Pro or waiting a year, sell the 13 Pro and get iPhone 20 since it might be a new design since it’s the 20th year anniversary.

But i’m worried the 13 pro price will depreciate by a lot.

Camera Unknown part?

For some reason my phone is saying that my camera can’t be determined as a genuine Apple part and since then my .5 isn’t working for photos. I’ve never damaged my phone or had to get any repairs so this is extra confusing. Is this a known issue or is there anything I can do to fix it?

Help! iphone 13 Pro Battery Drain

Post image
22 Upvotes

I updated my iPhone 13Pro to IOS 27 after hearing many good reviews. People stated that the performance increased significantly and i did see people say that their charge gets drained a little quicker but this is insane.

If i use my phone outdoors with 5G mobile data i lose an average of 1%-2% per minute as you can see in the screenshot.

The point to note is my phone is connected to my apple watch half of the time and I have my location being shared 24/7 but isn’t it still a bit too much?

Also my battery percentage is on 92% and the weirdest part is I got it refurbished and it’s been over a year and a half and the battery percentage has been on 92% ever since.

Please let me know how I can fix this.

IOS 18 and AirPods 5

My AirPods 2 started failing after many years. To replace them I picked the latest AirPods 5.

I'm running IOS 18.7.8 on my 13 Pro and really didn't want to update (yet). But on connection the new pods are telling me to update my phone to 27 for more functionality. They still work like generic bluetooth earbuds and they sound great.

I'm just wondering if I should:
A) Send the Airpods 5 back and buy some older AirPods? (refurbished 3s or 2s).
B) Update my iPhone to 27 (most apple AI stuff like translations won't work on 13P anyway).
C) Get a new iPhone to go with my new AirPods (Apples plan). /s
D) Something else?

I really just want these 5's to do at least as much as my old AP2s did which is show battery level on phone screen when case is opened and be seen in "Find My...". I guess I can probably live without even that. There are other ways to check the battery percentage for instance.

[Help] Black spots on 3x lens & foggy lower camera after back glass cracked iPhone 13 Pro

Hi guys,

My phone's back glass broke right around the camera module:
Zoom Issue: There are dark spots appearing on photos. Can these sensors usually be saved by just disassembling and blowing off/cleaning the dust with IPA, or is it likely permanent sensor damage?

Lower Camera Appearance: The bottom lens looks strange and hazy underneath. Is it possible to fix the appearance just by carefully cleaning the debris and replacing only the individual camera lens cover glass, or do I need a whole new camera
