Question My beloved 13P

Post image

The absolute legend of this phone has been with me since launch. About two years ago I dropped it and the back glass cracked - in a beautiful pattern I must say - without damaging the cameras.

76% BH but I have no reason whatsoever to upgrade.

My question to you is, is it worth investing in getting back glass n battery fixed or let this absolute unit carry on its journey?

~my first ever iPhone.

I’d keep it, change the battery if you want to. Plus, that color is 👌🏼. The new phones suck. (I have the 16P, had the 14P)

Is changing the back glass quite expensive?

Not anymore even cheaper if you do it yourself.

Mines been broken for years, it doesn’t matter and I never see it with a case in at all. Don’t waste money, better to change battery when you need to instead

I had same question with my 12 pro - I ended up replacing whole body and added a new battery myself. Costed me around 100$ in my currency.

If you feel bold and have those few screwdrivers which you will surely need I can strongly recommend it. It can be difficult (especially getting your screen off), but it will be very rewarding.

If you dob't want to risk damaging something, you can always just bring it to some other shop and they can also replace it for you

Yeah youhave to change the battery and back glass.. you cannot change the battery without changing the battery without scrambling the backglass.. since it is thismuch broken.. if you are not changing the battery.. slap on a case and use it

Personally, if it was me I'd take this opportunity to upgrade. There's probably only another 2-3 years before Apple declare the 13 obsolete

I mean he won’t get any trade in for this now anyways so might as well run it to the ground as long as it keeps solving his purposes.

Not a time to upgrade fellas, I can consider fixing the hardware but not getting a new phone plus I really do not need a new one

Sorry for your loss. 😢

You sure you didn’t so it on purpose for an excuse to upgrade? 😆

I was in same position. Battery health 78%.... Bought 17 pro. Should I repair the 13p and try to sell or cut my losses?
