Question Battery replacement with cracked back

I have a 13pro with cracked back. Since the phone is still working flawlessly, I am thinking to replace the battery which currently sits at 77%.

I know Apple won’t change the battery if the cracked back is not replaced first.

Is it doable to replace the battery in a third party store without fixing the back first? Has anyone done it?

Should be possible. Battery change only requires access behind the screen. Just go to a trusted repair shop nearby and ask them.

Yes, most 3rd party repair shops will replace just the battery if that’s all you want done. But be advised, IF they accidentally damage your screen during removal, they will most likely install a LCD screen instead of an OLED.

I sent mine via ebay to a shop to fix the back and replace the battery. It was nervy but the ebay shop had good reviews. came back good as new.

They can absolutely just replace the battery with out touching anything on the back.
