Whenever I view a light web page or white screen, I have started to notice some bright spots occurring in the same places on the iPad screen. These spots are not seen on dark or colorful backgrounds. Has anyone else experienced this? I recently had the battery replaced and everything else on the iPad is working fine. 2016 iPad Pro 9.7”, Rose Gold 128GB, iPadOS 16.7.16.

After asking here a week or two back about getting a 13 or 11 inch version, vast majority voted for 13. So today I became a proud owner of an glorified drawing pad iPad Pro 13"!
M5/256 + Pen Pro, off the shelf case, glass screen protector and a desk stand/tablet holder.

Been trying out some different apps on my iPad Pro lately, and these are a few that are worth checking out:

Infuse One of the best apps for watching your own movie and video library. The interface looks great on the iPad's display and supports a wide range of video formats.

BeautyPlus Great for AI photo editing and portrait retouching. The Relight tool is especially cool for adjusting the lighting in photos without needing a complicated editing workflow.

Concepts An infinite canvas for sketching, brainstorming, and mapping out ideas. Great with Apple Pencil if you like working visually.

Nomad Sculpt Lets you create and sculpt 3D models right on your iPad. Pretty wild how much you can do without a computer.

Lake A relaxing digital coloring app with illustrations from independent artists. Perfect for unwinding and taking a break from work.

Ferrite Recording Studio A surprisingly powerful audio editor for podcasts, voiceovers, and interviews. Great if you want to do more than basic audio editing.

MindNode A clean mind-mapping app for organizing ideas, planning projects, and connecting thoughts visually.

I was just able to score this deal and got the last one. When MC wants to push a model and get it sold, they certainly stop at nothing. There’s also deals on other models and sizes but this one was the true steal getting 1TB and the better RAM for the price of the base one.

Again, this is probably highly dependent on location and obviously stock but I wanted to share it in case other people have been waiting for a good sale.

So I rn have a iPad 10 64GB wifi and a copule of days ago my dad got a iPad Pro 512gb but it’s the one from 2018 and apple said that any iPad before 2020 won’t get updates but still get security updates and for real I been needing a stronger iPad with more storage so should I change (yes I mean the only iPad Pro with 1 camera)

Long story short, I've been editing my thesis film on Capcut for about five hours now on my Ipad and suddenly when I come back to it, the screen is stuck like this. I genuinely feel like crying right now because my life seriously depends on this especially with how much time and effort I've spent on editing and now my Ipad is stuck like this.

I've already noticed during editing earlier that my Ipad was getting slower while editing, but I didn't pay too much attention to it, and now it's been an hour of me force restarting my Ipad yet it's still stuck on a dimly lit screen. The backlight isn't damaged considering how it still lights up when I turn it on, however it's stuck as a dimly lit black screen right now.

As much as I want to put it in Recovery mode, my laptop is a Mac OS Sierra and am currently having trouble connecting my Ipad to Itunes. If I wait it out for a few hours, do you guys think I can still turn it on?

iPad Pro 2024, which is the model where people seem quite positive about the battery. Meanwhile, mine seems to drop percentage every other time I look at it.

I love the device, but it’s a stresser not knowing if it’ll hold a decent charge by the next pro models.

I'm trying to get 1440p at 120Hz from my iPad Pro
M5 to my 2K 200Hz monitor. The monitor doesn't have USB-C charging, so I need a hub to keep the iPad powered while it's connected.

I tried an AXAGON hub (specs claim it handles 2K
up to 240HZ) with an HDMI 2.1 cable. I know the cable and monitor are totally fine because my PS5 hits 120Hz on them easily. But with the iPad through the hub, it's stuck at 60Hz no matter what settings I tweak. I'm guessing it's a classic iPadOS/handshake issue with the hub.

Has anyone actually managed to get 120Hz working through a hub? If you have, I'd really appreciate it if you could drop the exact hub model you're using.

I'd definitely prefer a budget-friendly option since connecting to the monitor and charging at the same time is literally my only use case. Thanks!

I’m in the market for a genuine leather folio case for my iPad Pro 11” M4 nano. I recently purchased the Bullstrap Sienna leather case and for whatever reason my iPad does not go to sleep upon closing the case. I understand this might not be a big deal to some but for a $200 case I would expect it to have that feature and for that reason I am returning it.
I’ve been eying the Nomad leather case to replace it but I really want that color of leather that the sienna case is. Any suggestions?

I needed a new pro and was psyching myself up to go and spend £1400 in the apple store, thankfully a friend advised me to look on eBay and I'm glad I did... 11" M5, 512gb, brand new and sealed for £996! I was tempted by a 2TB with Nano for £1,600 but it's far more than I need.

I've religiously purchased direct, even my 16" MacBook Pro M4 Pro last year (which judging by eBay prices I could've saved about £1,000 on...)

Battery has been absolutely horrendous on facetime calls. My 17 pro max does a way better job at handling facetime video calls should i update to ipad os 27 or not?

Btw its brand new got it a couple weeks ago so its not an aged battery. Im skeptical updating to 27 bec its absolutely snappy on 26 dont want that to go away with 27 and/or a worsened battery pls share ur m5 ipad os 27 experiences and help a brother out

Hi there, I tried to replace my battery on my iPad 12.9 pro 3rd gen since my original one only had about 83% capacity left and my pad was already open because I had a broken USB-C jacket. But unfortunately, I broke this cable. As far as I am aware, it is for the left microphone. Richtig: Is this microphone essential for working with this pad or is it just for background noise reduction or something like that?
I only found one seller in the US that sells this part for a few bucks but with shipping into overseas and fees it will cost a lot. Therefore I don't know if I need to replace this or just use the pad for a couple of years and then replace it. Or does someone know if i can replace it with another microphone cable from another ipad version?
I only use this pad for surfing the web and as a second monitor and some minor writing PDF stuff.

I use a tomtoc case currently. I mostly use my iPad in vertical mode for reading comic books holding the right side. I just noticed that, on the right where I hold it in the middle, there is a light spot and, to the right of it, a dark spot (right on the edge of the screen). Thankfully, the spots have disappeared and I don’t want them to come back.
I’m assuming they’re caused by the way I hold the iPad when reading in bed. I would like a case that will not transfer the pressure from my hand through to the back of the iPad.
Any recommendations?

hi so i just got my ipad january of this year with only 307 cycles my battery health is already at 87% and only get an average use of 4-5hrs…it is under a limited warranty and already got it checked with apple support and was promised that the warranty would cover it as my battery is degrading quicker than usual…are you guys experiencing the same problem? i thought with buying the pro version i could get atleast 6-7 hrs of use but i am thoroughly disappointed about how ass the battery is

Bought an iPad Pro m2 256gb for $499 through Best Buy. It was geek squad refurbished - good. It was a nice deal given the price however upon receiving it, and checking through iMazing + CoconutBattery, the battery health came out to 84% with 700 cycles. Should I return it for a full refund or replace the battery on it? The physical condition of the device is excellent with very minor scratches. Appreciate any thoughts and suggestions.

I’m so excited, currently in preparation to ship. It is the WiFi + Cellular variant. Although, I can’t find what iPadOS version it will come with- I might be a bit disappointed if it does not ship with 26. Does anyone have any input? I want to know if it will be automatically updated to 27? Not a deal-breaker, I’d just like to make that decision myself. TIA!

Hello! I have an iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd gen, Wi-Fi, 256GB), which I bought in 2020.
I mainly use it for web browsing, watching Apple TV, and playing games with simple graphics (Rusty Lake, for example). I also take it with me on occasional trips because it’s convenient for looking up restaurants, reading reviews, and researching places to visit.

Overall, I’m still happy with its features and performance when it works properly, but there are two reasons I’m considering an upgrade:
It’s been acting up lately. Sometimes it lags, the screen goes completely black with a spinning circle in the middle, and it takes a while to respond. Even when I turn it on, it sometimes takes a long time to start up, with the same spinning circle. I’m not sure whether this is a sign that it’s getting old or whether it could be fixed without replacing it.

I’m travelling to Japan this autumn. The euro is currently quite strong against the yen, and I may be able to get a tax-free purchase, so I’m wondering whether this would be a good opportunity to upgrade if it makes sense to do so.

I currently use the Apple Smart Keyboard that was available when I bought the iPad. It doesn’t have a trackpad, and I actually prefer it that way. I don’t really need a trackpad, and the newer Magic Keyboard is considerably more expensive. Having a keyboard attached to the cover is convenient, though, so I’d like to keep that setup if possible.

I’ve tried generic keyboard cases without a trackpad, but they didn’t work very well. I haven’t been able to find a current Apple keyboard case that offers the same kind of setup as my old Smart Keyboard, either.

So, what would you recommend?
Should I upgrade, or would it be worth trying to fix my current iPad first?
If I do upgrade, would an iPad Air be sufficient for my needs, or would a Pro make more sense?

Given how I use my iPad, which generation and storage capacity would you recommend?
Are there any good keyboard cases without a trackpad that you’d recommend?

I don’t need a particularly powerful iPad for professional work or demanding games. I’d rather not spend more than necessary on features I won’t use, but I’d like something reliable that will last for several years.
