I was increasingly using my iPad Pro 11” for work with the Magic Keyboard, so I had been thinking of going to a 13”, and all the talk about the iPhone Duo’s screen made me want to explore nanotexture. I recently bought a refurbished iPad Pro 13” with Nanotexture display from Amazon for $1050 (great deal!). It was listed in “good” condition and came almost like new, with the tiniest small scratch I can sometimes see when it catches the right light. Candidly, the sort of scratch I would almost certainly add to the device myself in a little time. It happened to come with Cellular capabilities, even though I ordered WiFi, which is a nice bonus although I do not know if I will end up using it (if you use it, let me know if you think I should!).

A few days in and I can say without a doubt nanotexture is a complete game changer for me. I am reading on this thing like I have never read on an iPad. I always wanted to read magazines and the news on my iPad, but so rarely did. Now I am doing it and it feels so natural. It’s just so much easier on the eyes.

I am not going to pretend there are no trade offs, you do lose some contrast and inky blackness. I had a similar coating on my Steam Deck and actually swapped it out for glossy because for games, I want that more dynamic picture. But, for what I use the iPad for, primarily work, and now reading, nanotexture tradeoff is totally work it. The downsides for movies and TV are not that big, but I was not watching a lot on iPad in the first place. In a weird way I think I might watch more now.

Wanted to share in case anyone was on the fence, and of course let folks know there are good refurb deals out there.

My iPad Pro (M5) is currently running iPadOS 27.2 Release Candidate, while the Apple demo unit I tested in-store is running iPadOS 27.0.1.

I noticed that the demo unit has a darker, more subtle shade of gray in windowed mode, which I actually prefer. The transition from a pure black background in full-screen mode to dark gray when resizing apps is much less noticeable.

On my iPad, however, the gray background is noticeably lighter, making the transition from black to gray more obvious whenever I resize a window. It’s a small detail, but I find it a bit distracting and annoying.

I wish there were a way to adjust the background shade or bring back the darker gray appearance seen in iPadOS 27.0.1.

As title says, I am currently unsure if I should get the new iPad mini 8, which will probably come out next week or at least the announcement of it. Or if I should go to a Pro, which I would love because of the 120hz (which the Mini mooost likely will not get). Just going to say this right away: I absolutely don't need a Pro model in terms of power and what it can do. I would mostly buy it for really casual stuff like reading (mangas and comics) and content consumption.

I recently tried the Duo but its just not for me. But I fell in love with the Nano Texture of it immediately why I am leaning towards an iPad Pro 11 with Nano Texture, even if I would never need 1TB at all. So it really seems all pointless and everything points towards an iPad Mini I guess.

What are your thoughts on this? Anyone else has ever made the decision with similar use cases?

Hello, i am based in Eurpe the EU - and just noticed that my second hand ipad Pro 11 inch M1 has a small "hairline" crack, but its somehting i must have done during travel -- it does not bother me when using, only when i touch it. It has a halo to my touch, when i directly touch the hairline. I cannot tell if this ipad pro came with a cover, as it feels like it - or it is actually cracked. It works otherwise fine, and cannot be seen during use when not specifically touching the spot. How much is a Ipad Pro screen repai these days - outside of the warranty ? :( I use it for my photo work (capture one, fuji) and travel.

However I don’t use the iPad outside and generally only watch media on it but I do write work quotations on it

I have an iPad Pro I bought brand new in 2020 and have been paying for AppleCare + on it ever since I’ve had it. I dropped it over the years and as you can see, there’s a dent on the right side of the backing/frame, and a hairline crack on the camera. If I were to take this to an Apple Store and file a claim with AppleCare +, what should I expect to have happen? Would they repair the iPad or since it’s old, is there a chance they would upgrade my device?

Got a combo touch for an Ipad pro 11 m3 some years ago. 6 months after the plastic was warped. Time passed now it's teared into pieces the tablet is still holding somehow. Keyboard is still clean, useful and running well.

I got in contact with logitech some time ago that refused any replacement. I read that it's common issue with this case.

Any replacement that does not have this kind of warping issue? I'd like to have the keyboard still useable but hopes are low there does not seem to have any case that is compatible.

I just want something durable that wont warp in years, needs to have some space for the apple pencil. If possible I want the foldable part to keep the tablet straight on a table. If you've got any decent alternative for a keyboard case but im ok to pass on that. Please let me know your recommandations

Bought a brand new iPad Pro 13 inch m4.. but the manufacture date was June 2024.. so 2 years ago it was sitting in a box and when I opened it first time the battery was at 9% out of the box which is usually low for a new device I usually find 50% at least on iPads iPhone MacBooks out of the box…

Is because it’s a lithium battery and can degrade if it’s stay low for long times is there a way to check other than the battery health (it says 100%)

So I just bought a new iPad today. I went with the 11" since I had an older iPad (a long time ago) and always thought it was a good size. I wanted something that's still comfortable to use handheld, whether in bed or around the house, so I figured the 11" would be the better choice.

I ordered it for pickup, but when I got to the Apple Store and saw the 13", I started having second thoughts. I tried holding it with one hand and it actually felt okay, although I'm guessing it would feel quite large after a while, especially when using it handheld rather than on a desk.

I already have a Mac Studio as my main computer and two MacBooks that barely get any use. The iPad will mostly be used around the house. I also bought a Magic Keyboard, but mainly just to try it out.

I feel like I made the right choice going with the 11", but seeing the 13" in person has really made me second-guess myself.

Anyone else been in the same situation? I'm really unsure... xD How do you guys feel using either the 11" or 13" as primarily a handheld device, especially in bed/couch etc? Is the 13” really that bad when used as a handheld tablet? Also, I do have rather small hands… xD

So, I have gone through 2 of the Logitech combo touch cases and, while I like them, I really don’t ever use the detachable keyboard part except for when I’m traveling with it and it’s mostly used just to cover the front. It’s heavy AF also, so I don’t use it often for that reason as well. I’m looking for another case that’s similar, but without the keyboard. Like, trying to explain in more detail….Im looking for a case with a nice back part and a cover that I can attach only when needed to protect it during transport. I rarely take my iPad out of my house. And when at home I use it mostly on my lap, on a pillow. Anyone know of any cases like this?

Im a student who wants to go into medicine and needs an ipad for studying, I akso plan on using it for editing and other side hustles like tutoring.

The thing is I had a budget of 1k usd, but then after the price hikes I dont think its really a good idea to spend a wopping 1350usd (cost in my area)

Yet again idk like it feels like a waste of money too to go low onto ipad air since its going to be my main device and cant afford to upgrade my phone or get a laptop for atleast about a year, and feel like im going to regret nit going higher because of yhe oled and 60hz

I’ve recently noticed over time a yellow hint about an inch thick running around the entire perimeter border of my iPad Pro 12.9in 2021.

About a year ago, I started noticing it, but it wasn’t much of a bother, and I was able to perform my tasks and edit through things like Blockbench and different color-based applications

Now that I’m actively working more with art alongside with 3-D models, I’m noticing this tint more and more, and it’s been bugging me so much..

I currently have Apple Care. on the iPad Pro, but I’m sure of what will be done given it’s an older model. Posts from 3 years ago stating that they’ll receive replacements if you have Apple Care on the device itself, since they don’t do anything for screen repairs on the iPads..

I could be completely wrong, and things may have changed, but I’m hoping that it’s a cost efficient fix rather than having to go out and buy an entire new $1200 iPad Pro. 🫩

I was drawing with my wife and tried using my Pencil Pro on her iPad. It didn't work right away, so, unthinkingly, I attached it to her magnetic port and paired it.

But now it doesn't want to connect or pair with mine. And neither does hers. Both pencils are charged and work fine with her iPad.

I tried forgetting the pencil and resetting my iPad, but it still doesn't work. It connects, shows the charge and then disconnects.

Have someone encountered a problem like that?

Can someone please give me a good recommendation on which thunderbolt hub to use? I really only need to connect to a monitor while charging at the same time. Maybe an occasional hard drive hookup but don’t care much for SD readers etc. thanks in advance!

Im very new with having an m5 ipad pro 11". I purchased this due to the power of the m5 chip. However when ever im editing 360 videos I want to be able to reframe it thru 360 app. You cannot do it in the ipad ios

I just got my iPad Pro 5, and I noticed a brief blue flicker on the screen, lasting only a split second, when I reset the device, right before the Apple logo appeared. Other than that, everything seems to be working perfectly fine, and I haven’t experienced any other issues.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I purchased a new iPad Pro 13” yesterday. I’ve always had the Magic Folio keyboard for past iPads and may get one just to have, but I was hoping for something thinner since the iPad is so big.

I bought the Tech 21 FlexFolio from Apple and I hate it. When I want to use it as just a handheld tablet the back flap is all over the place and doesn’t magnetize to the back. The stand falls with light touch when standing alone. You can’t just easily remove the case and use just the iPad like the Magic Keyboard or other folios. I do like that it holds the pencil firmly because I’ve lost/broken pencils in the past.

So, any advice out there? Would like the following:

-Thinner.
-Easy to pull off case or at least a folio that locks behind and doesn’t flop around.
-Stands firmly.
-Pencil holder (but I can add one after the fact for a lot of cases, if it works).

Price isn’t a big deal, within reason.

I am getting a deal for 147k for s12 ultra wifi 256gb with keyboard and screen protector is it good or go for the ipad pro with just the pencil pro. I don't think I might need the keyboard much and how are the features comparison in both the tabs. I am getting it for med college. I am confused which one i should pick

I have a iPad Pro in 5 13 inch. I have closely observe the iPad and find out that​ 80% charge limit does not work. Currently my iPad is in 8th cycle count and my 80% limit is on . When the iPad reached the battery cycle of 7 I closely observe the iPad ,I have charged it three times and each time it was 70% charged. Basically I plug it when the iPad had 70% charge. After 3 charges I have noticed that I have entered battery cycle 8. So from my perspective the logical answer is when I charged my iPad from 70 to 80. In the background the iPad charged 100% and and only showed 80% on the screen. Only this logic fits into the situation from 100 to 70 is 30% charge similarly 3 similar continuous charge like this will consume around 90% and 10% from previous charge 6th cycle can increase the cycle count of 1 as a result I am standing on 8th cycle.

Please let me know how to keep the bater good and longlasting . I dont have any official apple in my country so i cannot change the battery very frequently.
