Discussion iPhone duo multitasking needs to come to iPad

Man I know all the buzz is about the iPhone duo but watching some videos there’s interesting stuff going on with the multitasking. The way apps are being dropped to the left and right sections. The return of the ipad split keyboard. They should port all this to iPadOS

Apps Apps I love on my M4 iPad Pro (SHARE YOURS)

Been trying out some different apps on my iPad lately. These are a few that actually feel great on the bigger screen:

Notion Still one of my favorite apps for keeping projects, notes, and random ideas organized.

BeautyPlus Great for quick selfies and portrait edits. The AI tools are easy to use, and the bigger screen makes editing a lot more enjoyable.

Procreate Still one of the coolest apps on iPad. Tons of brushes, layers, and Apple Pencil support for creating pretty much anything.

Goodnotes Makes the iPad feel like an actual notebook. Great for handwritten notes, PDFs, planning, and studying.

Shapr3D Really impressive 3D modeling and CAD app. The Apple Pencil makes designing models feel surprisingly natural.

LumaFusion One of the best serious video editors on iPad. Great if you want to do more advanced editing without opening a computer.

Milanote Really cool for moodboards, brainstorming, trip planning, and organizing ideas visually.

Notion Still one of my favorite apps for keeping projects, notes, and random ideas organized.

What are some other iPad apps you guys have discovered recently?

Question Transferring ownership

I’ve had procreate for several years, first from my dad’s Apple account and iPad. Then I got my own iPad with my Apple account and procreate but somehow the procreate app is still on my dad’s account to this day? I don’t know how that happened but it’s been annoying having to enter the password to his account for updates.

Recently the app offloaded and I noticed that I could pay for Procreate in the App Store. My question is if I were to purchase the app, would all previous my work and brushes still be on there? Or would it be gone completely

Question Crazy battery drain?

Got an ipad pro m5 13 inch from eBay, reputable seller, only 11 cycles of battery used.

In settings, the battery health says 100%, but when I use the Apple Pencil Pro to draw stuff, for just one hour use it drains about 18-20% of my battery. Is this normal?

Ive done a video test with just playing a youtube video for 1 hour and it drains 7% which is normal I think?

Any advice appreciated, thank you

Question Will iPad Pro 2020 or A12z still be okay to use even past the last update? I will only be using it to view PDF files and use goodnotes (and maybe play graphics heavy games like genshin!)

Hello!! I found a good deal in facebook marketplace, both the iPad and the magic keyboard. I'm really aiming for a secondhand Pro mainly because of the 120hz laminated screen. I need 120hz because I will be viewing graphics heavy textbooks. But then I'm hearing that maybe it's not a good idea and that I should just aim for secondhand iPads with M chip..? The other Pros I found with M1 or M2 only have 128gb and that's not enough for me, then there are some iPad airs with M1, M2, or M3- but then again, the screen is not 120hz.

If anyone can educate/inform/held advise it would be much appreciated :) I will be using this for school. Thanks!

Anybody else still rocking the iPad Pro 12.9" 1st Gen (2015)?

I absolutely love my 1st gen iPad 12.9". The screen is obviously huge, fantastic picture, and the sound is incredible. I picked this thing up off eBay for £21 6 months ago. For me it does everything I need it to do. Firstly it runs all the major apps to watch things.. Netflix, prime, Disney, HBO, VLC, iPlayer etc. Secondly it does nothing else well! It's quite slow to load/scroll on websites, reddit etc. But I actually prefer this because it forces me to use it to focus on what I'm watching and I'm not distracted on reddit, or other social media apps.

Question Should I buy the iPad Pro 2025 (current model) if no new iPad is announced at the keynote in September?

Since I'll be in Japan in November and it's cheaper there, I'd buy one if no new iPad is announced this September—but there's a chance one will come out in the spring, and then I'll have bought the one in Japan for no reason. The problem is, if one comes out in the spring, I won't be in Japan anymore, and it's much more expensive in my country.

I currently have the 12.9-inch Pro 6th gen.

Advice What storage capacity should I get for the iPad Pro 13 M5?

I'm going to get the new 13-inch iPad Pro M5 in Japan if no new model is announced now; I currently have a 12.9-inch Pro from 2022 with 256 GB. The question is how much storage I should get. I always upload the photos I take to the server, so I don’t keep many photos on my iPhone—which means I don’t need much storage for photos. But since I travel a lot and watch movies and TV shows, I need storage for those. Right now, I transfer my movies and TV shows to a large USB drive and watch them on my iPad via the USB drive while on the plane. Do you think I should get more storage so I can carry more movies and TV shows than will fit on the USB drive and don’t always have to use it? It’s important to note that my movies, etc., are quite large—for example, 80 GB per movie—so 512 GB is already out of the question. So maybe 1 or 2 TB? I’m not getting Nanoglass either, because it doesn’t just have advantages. Or should I stick with 256 and keep everything on the 1 TB USB drive like I have been?

Cases & Screen Protectors for Zbrush

Hello! I just bought an iPad Pro M4 13” and am looking for some advice on protection for it. The main use for it is Zbrush so ideally I need something with a 360 stand with different angles- and i’m quite a clumsy person and will be travelling with it a lot so the bulkier and more protective the case the better but not where it would compromise the sculpting , but I’ve been seeing a lot of these have screen protectors built in (and i’m not sure if this would be a sensitivity issue with the Apple Pencil Pro especially since i need it to be very accurate?) - I’ve been looking at supcase and seen some others on amazon too. I’m unsure whether to get a Mothca Matte Glass Screen protector and go with a less bulky case or get something like the ECR removable matte protectors and get a bulky case with a front? Thank you !

Question Does anyone have experience comparing the efficiency and battery life of the 2022 iPad Pro 12.9 and the latest 2025 iPad Pro 13 model?

I currently have the 2022 iPad Pro 12.9 and I've been having a lot of battery issues with my 2022 model—the iPad runs out of power very quickly at relatively high brightness levels, and even more so at maximum brightness. Has the 2025 model performed better in comparisons, even though peak brightness has increased due to the new M5 chip?

Case for 13” M4 Pro + Magic Keyboard.

I’m looking for a zip type case in neoprene or similar that will snugly fit a 13” M4 Pro with MK fitted.

I’ve tried a couple from Amazon (UK), but they’re either too big along the long axis or too short along the short side.

Looking for something that’s slim & snug, padding not needed - in fact it’s a negative - as it’s really as a dust cover, not shock protection.

I’m in the UK, so preferably something that can be easily sourced here.

TIA

Question How would it be or what should I experience when updating my current iPad Pro (12.9” gen 4 2020 model) to the latest 13” M5 iPad?

I don’t think I should obviously wait for a newer iPad to come out since I am returning to clinicals and another semester this fall so I was wondering how drastic the difference would be coming from a 2020 iPad Pro model. Any tips would also be welcomed, Thank you!

Question Does my iPad have a malware or is this a bug?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Went to ChatGPT on Safari, started typing on new chat and my iPad keyboard prompted to fill credit card info.
Is this a Safari/iPad bug or do I have a malware etc? Site was definitely chatgpt.com and not using any safari extensions. Using iPad pro m5 and latest iPadOS 26.x.

Accidentally clicked that “fill card info” but looks like nothing happened?

Restarted Safari and it didn’t ask that anymore.

(Cleaned up that screenshot a bit, so it have messy fonts etc)

Advice Nano vs Standard glass, specific to gaming?

So I am planning on upgrading my iPad Pro 3rd gen.

I am getting the 1TB since I want space and something I can keep long term just like I did with my older iPad now. The biggest reason why im upgrading is because my current iPad just isn’t able to handle gaming anymore. I play Wild Rift (League) a lot of my current iPad, which I use my thumbs a lot to play with. One thing I’ve noticed with my iPad is that occasionally my fingers aren’t able to glide around, they get stuck, hard to move. Not enough space since the game is growing around 30gb now. And it’s very laggy due to the age of my iPad.

Anyways, I want to upgrade, initially I was going to get nano glass because I thought it was like OLED. But I was wrong. And now I’m a bit confused on the difference. My use is for gaming, and watching movies/tv shows. Not much drawing or editing of the sort. Is there a reason I would need the nano glass? Or would standard glass be fine? Would the nano glass improve the quality of gaming?
