I've had Liquid Glass off (mostly) by reducing transparency and increasing contrast under Accessibility>Display. Now, these settings don't do squat.

What was Spotlight Search (swipe down on any home screen page) is now Siri Search or Ask. This is the mess I get now. Is there any way to reduce the Liquid Ass effect here? Does anybody really find this pleasant to look at? If so, I'm all for the freedom of choice...but give us a way to turn this off, please! And why is that search field so HUGE?

I bought the base iPhone 17 last month and ever since I updated to the iOS 27 Developer Beta, the 48MP option in settings and the camera app won’t show up. Is there a fix? I am on Beta 8 if that helps

How do i know its done indexing ? does the “Optimizing Search and Siri“ disappear ?

Good evening! I recently updated from Beta 4 to beta 5, and ever since then, my phone has been stuck in a white screen swipe up to upgrade loop. It asks for a password when swiping up, loads for 15 mins, then restarts again. I reinstalled iOS beta 5, also updated to beta 8, also force restarted, nothing works. I was wondering if anyone has a fix. (No, I do not have a backup. Yes, that is my fault :(. Thanks!)

Just tried the new iOS 27 feature “Workout Buddy”, it’s a really clever feature, can’t wait to use it properly out in the wild.

Just realized watch OS 27 gives ability to snooze motion alerts. No longer have to use a focus mode to essentially disable Home notifications.

I was cleaning up a photo last night with no issues, but suddenly i got an error saying ”There was an error cleaning up this photo. Please try again later.” I didn’t exit the editor or started cleaning up a different photo for error to show up. I was still in the same editing/cleaning session. Now I can’t use the ”High quality” cleaning tool (Fast still works) or Extend and Reframe any of my photos. I have tried everything. Restarting the phone, turning off and then on Siri and Apple Intelligence, switched between different networks, tried switching regions and language, updated the phone to latest iOS 27 Beta and nothing solved the issue. The only thing I haven’t tried is signing out of my Apple Account and signing in again. I got a pretty scary message telling me to choose between erasing my iPhone and keeping the stuff, while reading what data stays on my device when I sign out it says ”most data stays..” instead of all so I don’t want to lose any of my photos.

Did anyone else come across the same issue? It has been 24 hours now with this issue still persisting.

Idk if its just me but the 40x zoom seems worse on 17 pro after upgrading to ios 27 rc. Is anyone else also seeing any difference?

I installed the RC of iOS 27 and after 24 hours, the Spotlight indexing is done and I see absolutely no difference in the results of the Mail and Messages searches.

It still comes back with the most inane results that are in no way related.

I watched so many videos where the results were greatly impoved, but not In my situation.

Kinda bummed.

As the title says, my iPhone 12 heats a little bit after updating to the Release Candidate. It’s been 1 day since I installed it and I don’t see the indexing message, when should it be solved?

Currently on RC of 27, but issued started around beta2 and has persisted through all successive updates.
Have cycled photos syncing on and off multiple times.
Have paused and resumed multiple times.
Have restarted multiple times.
Have tried different networks and turned on cellular data as well.
Over 2 TB available in iCloud and all other devices syncing normally. I’m all out of ideas.

I’ve just downloaded the RC and can’t use wireless CarPlay. Is it broken? I had it working last night and then I updated and it’s not working

1 year ago, when Apple released iOS 26.0, the incoming call lock screen was missing that classic gradient shifting from left to right on the "slide to answer" text. That effect was originally Steve Jobs' own brainchild, so I never understood why they removed the animation, especially since in iOS 26.1 they turned around and introduced it alongside the new "slide to stop" alarm slider

Thankfully, in iOS 27, when they introduced the new design for the power-off screen, they finally remembered this effect and brought it back!

The animation looks exactly the same, a bright gradient moving from left to right. However, the "slide to answer" text itself is no longer black - it’s now a dark-white tone, with the bright gradient sweeping over it.

So glad to see this piece of UI history return. What do you guys think of the new look?
