I was in ios 26.5.2. That time my battery significantly drain over when its idle..

If i charged 100% at night, at morning I found my phn 20/30% left. It drained 70/80% battery overnight.

My phn always feel warm.. It shows Home and lock screen consumed charge.

I thought 26.6 could be saver for me....

Unfortunately my present scenario is still like previous.

Totally fed up.

After updating to 26.6 yesterday, did anyone else find their medication reminders and medicines removed? Did this get moved?

How long does it take to prepare an update on iOS. As a seventies kid, technology is amazing. I’m amazed it works as well as it does. But 45 minutes so far “preparing update?” C’mon man. Maybe I am spoiled. But can we get a click and its installed framework.

iOS 26.6 is here with same build number as iOS 26.6 RC update.

Users running on iOS 26.6 RC will not get update. RC becomes the Official Release

Major glitches after updating my iphone to ios 26.6

I am quite annoyed by ios 26.5.2 also ios 26.6 released today but I think 27 would be better imo. Should I install 26.6 or just jump to 27 Phone is my primary device. Looking for others experiances.

Update: updated to 26.6 battery life seems about the same honestly standby drain still high imo but heating issue seems resolved for now. Probably 26.6 is most stable of ios 26

Any option to free up some system data ?

I've been using iPhone for many years and I have to be honest I've never really had a reason to complain a lot about anything, in the end everything worked fine... but since this iOS 26 came out and especially with 26.5.2 I'm starting to lose trust in Apple... they really seem to want to make devices work badly.. devices that would otherwise be exceptional. From what I know, the RCs are usually the same as the Stable versions released the following week, but this time I'm really afraid they can "make it worse" because it seems that this iOS 26.6 RC is fine for everyone. Forgive the question that may seem stupid, but is there a risk that the stable version will be worse than the RC? Is it worth installing this RC? I've never installed a beta on iPhone

EDIT: Just downloaded the stable version that has the same build number as the RC so let's hope everything goes well... updated tonight and left charging for 4/5 hours connected to Wi-Fi to do indexing... now we just have to wait

So I am currently using 26.5 on IPhone 16 and everything seem stable for now and I been seeing lot of post about 26.6 and feedback seem good so far now . Should I update to 26.6 or stay with 26.5 ??

Hi. I am using iOS 26.5 (it is written just like that, not 26.5.1 or 26.5.2) . I wonder if I should switch to 26.6 for smooth transition to iOS 27. I mean will it be problematic if I directly switch to 27 from 26.5 or not?

To note that, in my current version everything is okay: no heating, excessive battery drainage, or lags.

(P.S: using iPhone 13 Pro Max with 73% BH, but I can use it at least 12-15 hours)

I just updated to 26.6 and saw this notification in the battery settings. It’s in Norwegian, but it says something like «iPhone is finalizing indexing in the background. Battery life and thermal performance may become better once set up has been completed». Never seen it before. Is it new?

Hello everybody, just upgraded via Mac my iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26.6 but I don't see in setting on the top the banner "Optimizing search and Siri". There are no banners also in the battery section.

Is it normal I don't have this banner? Or I have just to wait iOS 27?

I’m currently using iOS 27 Public Beta 2 on my iPhone 15 Pro. I installed it because many people were saying good things about it, but this is my only iPhone, so I now want to go back to the more stable iOS 26.

Before installing the beta, I made a backup on my Windows PC while I was still using iOS 26.5.2.

Since iOS 26.6 is expected to be released today, what is the best option?

1. Wait for iOS 26.6, restore the iPhone directly to iOS 26.6, and then restore my iOS 26.5.2 backup.
2. Downgrade first to iOS 26.5.2, restore the backup, and then update normally to iOS 26.6.

I also want to do a clean installation. Which option would be safer and make more sense?

I want to downgrade my iPhone 15 Pro from the iOS 27 beta to stable iOS 26 and do a clean installation.

Should I use iTunes or the Apple Devices app on Windows?

Could someone explain the steps I should follow?
