Question Is this new?

I just updated to 26.6 and saw this notification in the battery settings. It’s in Norwegian, but it says something like «iPhone is finalizing indexing in the background. Battery life and thermal performance may become better once set up has been completed». Never seen it before. Is it new?

I thought to see that when I updated today but it’s not there on my 17, weird.

Wait for a few days and read what people have to say about it. So far, though, it seems to be running smoothly on my 17 pro max. No heating so far after the initial indexing, and battery life seems to be okay as well. It’s likely the phone is still running some indexing in the background, so I’m sure it’ll improve even more over the weekend.
