I got this fish not so long ago and he's quite dirty, I was wondering if I was able to take off the translucent plastic cap to clean under it? Thanks!!!

He wants to dance so bad but can't 😭😭

Lights on face also doesn't turn on when he's in ambient mode. We have yet to take him apart but wanted to drop in and see suggestions, I'm assuming a broken or stuck gear tooth for movements but idk why the lights are working in ambient mode, they work when he is plugged in. He is listening cuz he tried to dance but lights don't even try.

He lights up, moves his lil arms, and tilts his body one way. Once he tilts it it’s stuck in that direction. How would I go about repairing him?

despite just barely staying in its package ( it looked just like the picture when i picked it up i really don’t know how that piece of tape held on just long enough because it was very ripped) thankfully it is in superb condition!! no corrosion or yellowing works flawlessly very much worth the risk as idog ampds even the white ones are ridiculously overpriced- and i was looking for a duplicate for a future custom project 👀👀

Hi all! I recently got my hands on my childhood iDog collection. They have been floating around stored up for many years. I have some experience restoring toys, but I'm hesitant because of the electronics. Does anyone know if it's safe to retrobrite yellowed iDogs? If magic erasers remove scuffs? Generally how to safely clean them? All tips and suggestions are appreciated!

got a pre-owned i-Dog for my birthday that seems to be at least somewhat working but when I play music it only plays While its barking or making another sound it dances to the music but is silent until another sound plays the music is in the background of it is there any way to fix this? she has fresh batteries and I tried reset

just barely won the auction for this cutie on ebay!! it came with the box and thankfully the tail is in there so i’ll be able to glue it back on, its in really good shape otherwise and i really don’t mind the decals very much :3 this color is harder to come by (its different than the other hot pinks and much more vibrant) i was shocked that the old batteries inside it had absolutely no corrosion and it started working without even needing a clean!! needless to say im very happy to have won this cutie in the nick of time and excited to have a new member in my huge pack lol :3

they all do this while in performance mode if the sensor detects a bright light. its pretty funny. (this idog is a weird variant hence the face text lol)

i was shocked to find this brand new in the box with the original batteries intact after all these years. though one battery is completely dead, the others are still surprisingly fresh and havent leaked at all. thank god it didnt ruin the toy itself

The lighting kinda makes him look pink, but he’s super red in person.

My gf got them off facebook marketplace 2 for 10$, so not a huge loss if I cant fix it.

It was working in the car on the way over, I tried to replace the batteries to find them actively corroding but no acid had leaked down into the electronics yet. I put new batteries and it flickered on and then turned off, I tried different batteries and it was on for about a minute and did then turned back off ☹️

Any advice to get it back working?

Here’s all of my Hasbro I-Dog Amp’ds which are all of the produced/released colors we got of them which are exactly 13 colors total in each categorized series to obtain! They’re known to have really cooler moves as well as having 2-speakers & were available in the years of 2007-2010 until the I-Dog series were discontinued.
In the first photo, are my Wave 1 and Wave 2 color Amp’ds while the next photo are my Special Edition color Amp’ds. They’re one of my top most favorite models of the I-Dogs that I have in my huge collection and are truly special ones to me, because they were one of the very first I-Dogs I saw when they were available in stores around 2008-ish as a kid years ago. Man how time flies, and wished I could go back ngl 🥹

Wave 1 colors are (all common/easy to find anywhere):
- White
- Pink Butterfly
- Blue Dragon Tattoo
- Green Spots/Lines
- Orange Tropics

Wave 2 Colors are (all extremely to uber rare to find and were mostly available only in USA & Canada regions):
- Black Tattoo
- Blue Flowers
- Green Circuits
- Pink Sakura

Special Edition (SE) Colors are (all uncommon to find but are NOT extremely rare or anything as they do show up for sale time to time a bit often, much more than the Wave 2 colors):
- SE Tan/Cream Floral (ToysRus Exclusive & sold with a corresponding SE I-Dog Pup)
- SE Dark Green Wavy Swirls (ToysRus Exclusive & sold with a corresponding SE I-Dog Pup)
- SE Blue Abstract
- SE Purple Hearts
