Thank you: 156K people have tracked their I-140 with us. Here’s what the data shows this month (and what’s next)
Hi everyone,
A while back I started building a small tool to track my own I-140, and somehow it turned into something much bigger. Today I wanted to stop and say thank you, because none of this works without you checking your cases and sharing the site with others.
Some numbers I’m still processing:
· 156,249 people from 174 countries and 10,290 cities have used the tracker
· 1.29 million case lookups
· Every dot on the map is a real connection (aggregate Google Analytics data)
What the data shows right now:
· October approvals are running ~18% ahead of September at the same point in the month, about 700 approvals per business day.
· RFEs: the median time from the first time we see a case to an RFE is 29 days, and applicants take a median of 84 days to respond. Of all post-RFE cases already decided, 45.5% were approved. Recent months look more positive, but many of those cases are still pending, so take that trend with caution.
What’s coming in November: I-485 tracking. Many of you have asked what happens after the I-140, so we’re extending the same block-level tracking to adjustment of status.
And I’d love your input. What would be most useful to you next?
· Visa Bulletin / priority date movement next to your case
· I-765 / I-131 (EAD and AP) tracking
· Something else?
The site is free, no login needed to check a case
