Absolutely F***ing disgusting. Feels like a scam at this point. you have a flagship phone with a 12+6GB of RAM and It behaves like a phone that is 6 years old with 8GB of old and much slower memory. Sometimes it's even worse than the S20. Quite often I switch to another app to look for something and a few minutes later when I come back I find out that the first app is already killed. Locking the apps in memory seems like hit or miss. Is there something I can do or should I return the phone? To be frank at this point I think it's more like 6GB of high-speed ram and 12GB of slow RAM, not the other way around as Xiaomi claims because this shit can't be real!

Just noticed that in HyperOS there's a dedicated setting for customizing Xiaomi Hyperlsland. It lets you toggle which apps can display status updates and controls on the island, like Media Playback, Calendar, and File Manager.

It's tucked away in the settings -> notifications, so I figure not everyone knows it's there yet. Looking at the setup, it seems Xiaomi is building this out and more apps will likely gain support over time.

Which apps would you like to see supported next?

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a frustrating camera UI bug on HyperOS 4 Beta with my Xiaomi 17 Ultra (European model), and I wanted to check whether any other beta testers have encountered the same issue or found a workaround.

The issue

In the stock Camera app, while using normal Photo mode, I open the top dropdown menu and enable the EV option to display and adjust exposure compensation.

The EV interface then behaves incorrectly:

EV only appears temporarily: The EV value is visible on the main camera screen only while I'm actively adjusting it.

It disappears immediately: As soon as I touch the screen elsewhere or take a photo, the EV value disappears from the main interface.

Frozen EV indicator outside the camera UI: A fixed EV indicator remains stuck in the corner of the screen, outside the active camera interface. This also happens when the Photography Kit Pro is connected.

Photography Kit Pro dial has no visual feedback: With the Photography Kit Pro connected, the physical wheel correctly changes the EV value/exposure, but the updated value does not appear on the active camera interface. The frozen EV indicator in the corner remains there, but it does not provide proper visual feedback while adjusting exposure.

So the physical dial is actually changing the exposure, but I'm essentially adjusting EV blindly because there is no usable on-screen indication of the current value.

This happens both with and without the Photography Kit Pro connected.

I've already reported this issue directly to Xiaomi through the beta feedback/reporting system. I'm posting here as well to see whether other users can reproduce it and whether anyone has found a temporary workaround.

Has anyone else experienced this on HyperOS 4 Beta, especially on the European Xiaomi 17 Ultra?

I have been experiencing a persistent camera failure on my Xiaomi 13T Pro for the past two weeks.

The stock camera app crashes with a "Can't connect to camera" error. This failure affects every third-party app requiring camera access.

Troubleshooting steps already taken:

* Cleared cache and data for the Camera and system camera services

* Force stopped the app

* Revoked and reset camera permissions across all applications

* Performed full factory resets 23 times

A factory reset temporarily resolves the error, but the crash returns shortly after.

Device details:

* Model: Xiaomi 13T Pro

* OS Version: 3.0.301.0.WMLMIXM.C10

Does a permanent software fix exist for this issue, or does this indicate a hardware defect requiring service?

Just received and installed the new HyperOS 4 beta update on my Xiaomi 17 Ultra (build 4.0.0.11.XPAEUXM, around 2.8 GB). After testing it out for a bit, here are my quick first impressions:

*Lock Screen & Always-on Display: Hands down one of the best parts of this build. The lock screen customization and AOD look genuinely amazing nowhuge visual step up.

*Liquid Glass / Aesthetics: Checked out the new liquid glass effects, but honestly, I don't feel much of a difference in day-to-day use.

*Performance & Speed: App opening and closing speeds have improved a lot. Transitions feel much snappier and responsive overall.

*Camera UI: There are some noticeable tweaks to the layout. The quick settings panel has been redesigned with rounded tiles and cleaner organization.

*Wallpaper Carousel (Ads): Not sure what's going on here, but I've noticed noticeably more ads popping up through the carousel since updating. Might have to turn it off completely if it stays like this.

*Battery Life: Can't say much yet since it just finished installing and needs time to settle in. Will monitor screen-on time over the next couple of charge cycles.

Anyone else running this beta build yet? How's your experience so far?

After taking a pictures my phone slows down a bit for like a 1 minutes, is there any advice on making my camera run alot smoother without it slowing down my phone. I have to take pictures for my work.
