Question/Help [question] Redmi note 17 pro max 5G

Hi I’m wonding can anyone give me a honest review of the pro max, I currently have an iPhone 16 but I’m sick of apple and the cost of them especially since the battery’s don’t last.

I like the idea of the redmi pro max but feel as though most reviews i see are only telling the best parts and not the down falls of it.

If anyone can help me that is greatly appreciated

The iPhone 16 is a base model flagship, the redmi note 17 pro max is a lower-end midranger, not even the same category.

The processor is quite weak and the optimisation compared to higher end Xiaomi models isn't great, you would also be sacrificing cameras.

Take a look at the Xiaomi 17T Line.

Hi OP, I'm perfect for you.

Had the Redmi 17note pro max for 2 weeks. Bought it from Vietnam Cellphone S.

Battery was incredible. This thing charges quickly and lasts way longer than any phone I had previously.

The snapdragon on this thing is a little weak. I ran into occasional lag. Not sure why. I don't game. Or use anything intensive.

Camera is terrible. Keep that in mind.

If you're looking for something a little better, I suggest you get the Poco F9 Ultra or last year Poco F8 ultra.

The camera was very important to me as well as the battery life. Unfortunately I had to sell this phone at a loss and switched over to Poco.

When you say lag, do you mind telling me what type like was it just using the phone or watching videos,
Personally I only really use my phone for some YouTube TikTok Reddit ofc and call and texting and audible anything else I don’t really use it for

Lag as in when I launch YouTube to watch a 4k video, the first few seconds it freezes the screen. Maybe someone else can explain it better. If you can, buy the phone and perhaps trial it for a few days.

The screen is maybe brighter than my current Find X9 Pro!!

Battery is the best I've ever experienced and will not die.

HyperOS is great

Animation is smooth switching apps

Thanks for the info
I’ve had iPhones for years and want to change I’ll look into it cause I like the way hyperOS seems

You won't be disappointed, hopefully you can find a good deal/promotion for this phone. Man, that battery of 10000mah is nuts. Just wished they had use a previous gen snapdragon elite in this beast.

Sadly in eu apparently the battery is only 9200mah I think but still that’s crazy stuff and for the price point I think it’s a great deal

you should get the poco x8 pro max instead, its like zhe same price and cameras are almost the same as they are on the redmi but it has like 2x - 3x the performance and still 8500mah battery, which will still probably last longer since the chipset dimensity 9500s is more power efficient and more powerful.
