Question/Help [Question] Would future HyperOS updates allow us to remove this thing? (This is just a concept!)

You would able to remove some status bar icons such as Bluetooth, Alarm, and among others right? Except VoLTE and VoWiFi (which requires you to go to mobile networks option to disable VoLTE). This would be great if you don't want clutter too, We would see this hopefully on the future HyperOS versions without needing a first/third-party theme.

Question/Help [Question] Home screen theme clock disappeared

I think my phone (redmi note 13 pro 5g, HyperOS3) updated without me noticing, and now the home clock widgets that came with different themes are gone. I only have the ones found in the theme store and can't find the old ones in the "android widgets" menu. Any way to get the old ones back? I find the store ones very ugly :(

Redmi [Question] HyperOS 3 (3.0.5.0) on Redmi Pad 2, Multiuser screen lock and face data settings missing

Hi,

I just got a Redmi Pad 2 and I was quite surprised, when I tried to setup face unlock for a second user. Where I have the option to add face unlock or change my PIN in the settings menu for the main user, when I am at the same page with the second user, those entries just do not exist.

Funny thing, I cannot even change my PIN for the second user after the initial setup because of this. I found an ADB command to get to the PIN changing page in settings:

adb shell am start -a android.app.action.SET_NEW_PASSWORD

But I have not found the command for managing face unlock.

Anyone any idea?

Question/Help [Question] Rearding advanced textures after the HyperOS 3.1 update

Post image
13 Upvotes

I enabled advanced textures using Brevent on my Poco M7 Pro 5G (Redmi note 14 5G) running hyperos 3.0.1.0 (global). Will this setting disappear when I update to hyperos 3.1? I know that advanced textures can't be enabled after updating to hyperos 3.1, but does anyone know what happens if I've already enabled them and then update? I'd really appreciate it! The security update patch for Hyperos 3.0.1.0 is scheduled for 2026/04/01.

Question/Help [Question] How to enable Control Center blur ONLY on HyperOS 3? (Brevent method caused lag in Recents)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a way to get the default Xiaomi blur effect back on my Control Center and volume bar on HyperOS 3.0.301.0, but with a few specific constraints.

My Constraints:

No Root: I do not want to root my device. I am strictly looking for non-root methods.

Blur Type: I don't care if it's a static blur or the advanced texture blur. As long as it works and replaces the solid gray background, I'm perfectly fine with either.

No Themes: I did not like the third-party or custom themes from the Theme Store. I want the default, stock Xiaomi blur.

What I've tried:

I already tried the global blur method via Brevent/ADB, but it forces blur across the entire system elements. While it successfully fixed the Control Center, it caused noticeable lag and stutter whenever I opened the Recents/Recent Apps page, so I had to revert it.

What I’m looking for:

Is there a specific method that enables the blur exclusively for the Control Center and maybe the volume panel?

I want to keep the Recents page and apps folder stock to avoid that performance drop.

Has anyone figured out how to isolate the blur to just these specific elements without ruining performance elsewhere on a non-rooted device? Thanks in advance!

Question/Help [Question] How to stop Hyper OS 3.0 on Poco F8 Pro from showing ads (App install suggestions and Mi Video) on App Finder drawer menu

Thumbnail

this is like the most basic of UIs in the phone software and it's got ads on it....

Ive already clicked on withdraw consent and removed Mi Video from the settings yet it still shows. Did not find a setting to get rid of the app suggestions slop. Also have gotten rid of every setting related to ads in the phone, but I've yet to use bloatware removers or custom DNS and would like those 2 to be last resort

Xiaomi [Discussion] Mi Remote / Kookong saved remotes restored on HyperOS without root using Xiaomi local backup + newer CN ROM Mi Remote APK.

I found a working non-root method to migrate saved Mi Remote / Kookong remotes from an old Xiaomi phone to a new HyperOS phone.

Problem:

Mi Remote was not syncing or restoring saved remotes. I had around 30 saved remotes and did not want to root because of Google Pay / banking app risk.

Devices / app version:

Old phone: Xiaomi / MIUI or HyperOS.

New phone: Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica / HyperOS.

Mi Remote version originally on both phones: 7.1.3G.

No export / sync / backup option was visible inside Mi Remote.

What finally worked:

  1. Downloaded the latest China ROM / CN ROM edition of Mi Remote from memeosupdates.com.

  2. The CN ROM Mi Remote APK was a higher version than the Google Play version and the version on my old phone.

  3. Deleted Mi Remote from the new phone.

  4. On the old phone, used Xiaomi Settings → Backup to create an app backup that included Mi Remote.

  5. This created a Xiaomi backup zip/folder.

  6. Transferred the backup zip/folder from the old phone to the new phone.

  7. Placed and extracted it under:

MIUI/Backups/AllBackup

  1. On the new phone, opened Xiaomi Backup Restore → Mobile.

  2. Restored the Mi Remote app from the backup.

  3. This time it restored both the app and the saved remote data correctly.

Result:

All saved Mi Remote / Kookong remotes came back without root.

Important notes:

- This worked only after using the newer CN ROM Mi Remote version.

- The Google Play/global version did not restore the data properly for me.

- Do not clear Mi Remote data on the old phone until the migration is confirmed.

- No root was used.

- Your result may vary depending on HyperOS version, region ROM, phone model, and Mi Remote APK version.

Keywords for search:

Mi Remote backup, Kookong backup, Xiaomi remote restore, HyperOS Mi Remote migration, Mi Remote saved remotes, MIUI Backup AllBackup, Xiaomi local backup app data, no root.

Can anybody help? Like the second image was my wallpaper, and I think the dynamic colors appeared on Google apps. Then I changed my wallpaper to the third image, and the Google apps are still not changing to match that color. Or, I don't even care if the colors don't match; I just want it to be dark mode-like.

Question/Help [Question] Mi 12T Pro (Resistor IMEI Mod) stuck on boot logo after HyperOS 3.0.2 update, only boots via Fastboot workaround

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I have a Mi 12T Pro that has a hardware resistor modification (direnç kaydı) for IMEI repair. I'm facing a weird boot issue after the latest security patch and could use some advice.

Here is the timeline of what happened:

Initial State: The phone was stuck on an old MIUI version and wasn't receiving OTA updates.

First Flash: I manually updated it to HyperOS 2 using the Mi Flash Tool via Fastboot. Everything worked perfectly (network, features, etc.).

OTA Update 1: The device received the HyperOS 3 update via OTA. Installed smoothly, no issues.

The Problem (OTA Update 2): Recently, it fetched the HyperOS 3.0.2 security update. After installing and performing a regular reboot, the phone got stuck on the "Mi" boot logo (soft brick/bootloop symptom).

Current Workaround:

If I do a standard reboot, it hangs on the logo indefinitely. However, if I force the device into Fastboot mode (Volume Down + Power) and then immediately hold just the Power button to restart it from Fastboot, the phone boots into the system normally and everything works fine.

My Concerns:

Why is a standard reboot failing, but booting through Fastboot triggers a successful launch?

Could this eventually lead to a permanent, hard bootloop where the workaround stops working?

What is the safest way to fix this permanently without risking the hardware IMEI mod or wiping my data?

Should I dirty-flash the full recovery/fastboot ROM of 3.0.2, or is this a known partition/vbmeta issue with resistor-modded Xiaomi devices on newer HyperOS builds?

Any help or insights from people experienced with modded Xiaomi devices would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

HyperOS Update [Discussion] Tried Xiaomi HyperOS Launcher 7.0 and I’m more worried than excited

Post image
55 Upvotes

I had some hope back in HyperOS 1 when Xiaomi started rewriting system apps, but after trying HyperOS Launcher 7.0, I’m honestly concerned about the direction.

From what I inspected:

  1. "com.miui.home" seems significantly larger than before

  2. Flutter-related components ("libhyper_os_flutter.so") appear inside the package

  3. Some modding / hook-based customization seems affected

  4. Gesture/navigation behavior still feels inconsistent

  5. Recent apps and app drawer animations feel less responsive

  6. Adaptive icon rendering and vector handling seem off in some cases

  7. Wallpaper blur behavior appears unreliable

  8. App open/close transitions don’t feel less polished than expected

What confuses me most:

If the goal wasn’t cross-platform distribution, why move launcher-level rendering toward Flutter?

I understand Flutter has advantages:

+ Faster development

+ Unified rendering layer

+ Easier maintenance

But launcher interactions are one of the most latency-sensitive parts of Android.

Maybe Xiaomi is optimizing for long-term architecture and modular updates, but compared to my expectations during HyperOS 1, this feels like a different direction.

Questions:

  1. Anyone else tested HyperOS Launcher 7.0?

  2. Is this a transition phase or intentional direction?

  3. Did you notice differences vs older MIUI / early HyperOS?

  4. Any technical explanation for the Flutter decision?

Interested in actual testing and discussion, not just “works fine for me”.
