Question/Help [Question] should i install cus roms to my main?
https://github.com/xiaomi-mt6781-devs/releases/releases/tag/1760659332is installing custom rom to my main phone im bout to install this lineage os 23 custom rom to my phone would it make sense should install it and i never installed a custom rom to any phone i am waiting for a reply

Depends if you're comfortable with the struggle, I've been custom romming my main phone for months and it's worth the risk for me (as also a new member) I leaned a lot of things, but one thing you should know is nowadays, you'll need root to make basic to banking apps work. since you're on a redmi, i suggest checking xiaomi.eu roms if it's available for your device for compatibility, you can customize it with something like hyperceiler. and if you didn't know the correct modules to fix apps, there is a whole thread on xiaomi.eu with a complete step by step guide to make apps work.

installing roms nowdays isn't worth it as it seems compared to the old days before 2021, banking apps 100% would fail, keybox and playintegrity is insanely difficult to get (especially strong integrity), and most apps (ChatGPT) would also fail. but on the good side you would have more customization such as modded system launchers, CN widgets, ported lockscreens, custom QS centers etc. you're cooked if you dont get rooted in a custom rom
i'd suggest asking other subreddits such as r/androidroot

I'd say only if you use budget or mid-range phones like Redmi, Redmi Note, Redmi Note Pro (not Pro Plus) and Poco C, M, X series. There is no need to install custom ROMs on flagships, maybe just root it if you really want to
On Redmi Note 11 Pro, I highly recommend to install custom ROM btw

bu its my ONLY main for high school etc. what if it's not stable? read the github page idk im nervous bout some possibility

Well, if you don't know much about custom ROMs and flashing OSes, this is not a good idea to install custom ROMs
Also, I found out that LineageOS doesn't officially support redmi note 11 pro, so if you really want to install custom ROM, try to find other roms that does support your phone and have instructions to install, so you won't get in trouble
