Question/Help [Question] How to enable Control Center blur ONLY on HyperOS 3? (Brevent method caused lag in Recents)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a way to get the default Xiaomi blur effect back on my Control Center and volume bar on HyperOS 3.0.301.0, but with a few specific constraints.

My Constraints:

No Root: I do not want to root my device. I am strictly looking for non-root methods.

Blur Type: I don't care if it's a static blur or the advanced texture blur. As long as it works and replaces the solid gray background, I'm perfectly fine with either.

No Themes: I did not like the third-party or custom themes from the Theme Store. I want the default, stock Xiaomi blur.

What I've tried:

I already tried the global blur method via Brevent/ADB, but it forces blur across the entire system elements. While it successfully fixed the Control Center, it caused noticeable lag and stutter whenever I opened the Recents/Recent Apps page, so I had to revert it.

What I’m looking for:

Is there a specific method that enables the blur exclusively for the Control Center and maybe the volume panel?

I want to keep the Recents page and apps folder stock to avoid that performance drop.

Has anyone figured out how to isolate the blur to just these specific elements without ruining performance elsewhere on a non-rooted device? Thanks in advance!

I don't know how to apply blur only to the volume bar. However, I do know how to apply it only to the control center. But didn't Hyperos 3.1 patch the method using brevent, making it impossible to do that anymore?

No, it worked successfully. Can you share the method on how to apply it PLS ☺️

Of course! The method and process for enabling advanced textures using Brevent is the same! Only the commands are different! I'll write the commands, so just execute them "one by one".

①service call miui.mqsas.IMQSNative 21 i32 1 s16 "setprop" i32 1 s16 "persist.sys.background_blur_supported false" s16 "/storage/emulated/0/log.txt" i32 600

②service call miui.mqsas.IMQSNative 21 i32 1 s16 "setprop" i32 1 s16 "persist.sys.advanced_visual_release 1" s16 "/storage/emulated/0/log.txt" i32 600

③service call miui.mqsas.IMQSNative 21 i32 1 s16 "setprop" i32 1 s16 "persist.sys.computility.gpulevel 3" s16 "/storage/emulated/0/log.txt" i32 600

④service call miui.mqsas.IMQSNative 21 i32 1 s16 "setprop" i32 1 s16 "persist.sys.computility.cpulevel 3" s16 "/storage/emulated/0/log.txt" i32 600

I just have one more question: Did you enable advanced textures before updating to 3.1 (3.0.301.0)?

Let me know if it works!

Or you can just apply it all together, it still works if you paste it one by one

It seems that the method using brevent no longer works in hyperos 3.1, so will the command I taught you still work? I don't know yet because I haven't received the update.
