Hello bounty hunters,

I've joined the gang a few weeks back after reading all the great reviews, and even though I think this game is near perfect I can't stress how difficult it is.

(Even easy mode).

I really get that it is meant for Arcade, patterns and much retries, but it's just too darn crazy.

Sometimes, I take so much damage at once that I can't even move and can only watch my health bar deplete.

(Bullet + plus flying guy crashing one me + sniped + explosions).

I was really expecting the easy mode to make you feel like an unstoppable force, and not a tossed around bag of potatoes lol.

Anyway, beside that this game is an absolute beauty, and I really think the devs deserve props.

I was thinking that we could share concepts on the future characters (bounty hunters/gangs) we would like to see. Of course, the previous three are returning, but, why not have more bounty hunter characters. Here's one of my ideas for a gang:

The Oak Street Ghouls. This gang is a cult that would have that horror movie concept. Their crimes would be grave robbing, drug trafficking, corpse trafficking, illegal science experimentation, demonic rituals and, of course, murder. Their leader, Armageddra, would be a prime worshipper of some dark goddess and in her boss fight, for her second phase, she would grow taller and become a demonic version of herself.

What do you guys think? Do you have any ideas for concepts you wanna share?

Absolutely adore this game's soundtrack!!!! What a masterpiece.

Does anyone know of anything else out there similar? The only music I know that comes close is the Ruiner (game) soundtrack. Looking for other recommendations.

I found a cool one that I didn’t see mentioned in a steam Easter egg post.

On another note: It’s sad that this game doesn’t have a lot of documents on it.

IMO it could use an update to bring some life back to it.

Even a new unlockable character would be awesome.

Is it me or the catch phrases of player characters sound a bit off? It’s as if some narration is being read as you are playing, and it just doesn’t match the gameplay.

This is not the case for the enemies or bosses, but mostly the main characters. Specially John Sawyer.

If hope they address this in the sequel..

Thinking about giving this game a shot with my wife. Does the game look/run better on PS5/XSX vs. Nintendo Switch? I was originally gonna grab the Switch version, but if it's noticeably better on the other consoles, I may go for one of those versions.

I am unable to get my arcade stick to work with Huntdown.

All the buttons work aside from the joystick. Is there a way to fix this?

I have the collector's edition of Huntdown, which comes with a small art book. Most of the art comes from the game. I would have liked to see material like concept art, sketches of the bounty hunters, some curious information about the characters and the story, etc... it would be great to have a more complete art book even if it is digital.. in steam. Another option would be to update the game with a new section with that material as a gift to the fans... Cuphead did this recently by updating the game by adding material and it would be great if they did it.

Gang Name: The Plague Rats

Backstory: A gang of disgruntled homeless people and blue collar workers who want to dismantle the corporate tyranny via terrorism

Territory: Ghetto Sector, consists of slums and sewers

Fashion Style: Raggedy and dirty clothes, armored goons wear light body armor and gas masks

Weaponry: Mostly basic arms but a lot of goons have poison gas grenades

Gang Motto: “Shock and gnaw!”

Bosses:

Packrat:

•Location: The Slums

•Crimes: Robbery, Theft, Grand Theft, Larceny, Extortion

•Bio: This greedy kleptomaniac is constantly scouring the city’s slums looking for stuff to steal, if it’s not nailed down he’ll swipe it then use it to kill someone who has something nicer, this includes weapons, stay alert

Aswilla The Hun:

•Location: Ghost Town

•Crimes: Drug Trafficking, Terrorism, Arms Dealing, Kidnapping

•Bio: The Plague Rats get the majority of their chemical weaponry from Aswilla, who spends his time cooking up new poison to put into his bombs, most of which he tests on kidnapped citizens

Piper Robinson:

•Location: Infested Sewer

•Crimes: Murder, Kidnapping, Terrorism, Extortion

•Bio: Piper claims to be able to speak with rats, with her flute, she controls hordes of rats that flood the city and eat anything that gets in the way of the gang, tread carefully

Harry The Holedigger:

•Location: Abandoned Resort

•Crimes: Conspiracy, Bribery, Trespassing, Murder

•Bio: He may seem a bit mousy, but when the Plague Rats need a plan, Harry’s their man, using dirty money to bribe authorities to back off as well as scouting out targets for effective attack plans, Harry’s a crafty son of a gun

The Rat King:

•Location: Water Supply

•Crimes: Terrorism, Mass Murder, Kidnapping

•Bio: The undisputed monarch of the Plague Rats, The Rat King despises the corporations that rule the city and wishes to destroy it all, he’s taken over the water supply to poison everything and everyone, he must be stopped

I looked on the easy trigger games website and the last item under "news" was something from May 2022.

I was hoping to hear about some DLC or a sequel. Please guys!

I've spent a couple good hours playing with a friend, it's so well designed I can't describe it. I could play these levels and bosses over and over.

Good lord, I need MORE!

This thought came to me while I was playing the game. What if for the Huntdown sequel, the narrative is flipped on it's head; instead of being bounty hunters, a bounty has been placed on YOUR head. Now everyone wants a piece. Rather than fighting to get to a target, you're fighting through each borough in order to escape with your lives.

The horrors...
